Former Loomis Basin customer who advised us we can spend thousands to test and figure out what's going on with our collapsing dog.  This wasn't our first bad experience with LOOMIS BASIN. Very arrogant organization and excessively expensive!!!  The vet never checked our dog's vitals!!!!!!!!!! Referred to Dr. Campbell-Bayside Animal Hospital.  Dr. Campbell immediately took the vitals of our dog.  WITHIN 5 min had determined grade 3 AV block of the heart and for half the monies LOOMIS BASIN charged for doing nothing.  FOLKS read the reviews they are all accurate of both facilities from what we have experienced.  The choice is yours!!!! I was very impressed with this Vet office! Dr. Bradley was extremely nice and caring, she was gentle with my sweet, senior fur-child. She took her time and I didn't feel rushed or pushed into paying for extras like other vets sometimes do. All the staff was very nice and my dog and I felt very lucky to have found a good vet in our area. I recommend them to anyone in need of a honest, educated and friendly vet office. Read Less

My daughter recently had a very sick dog named Calvin. She took Calvin to a Vet in Sacramento and I will simply say that the Vet was terrible. She called me very upset and I told her to bring Calvin to Bayside Animal Hospital. This is a good 30 minutes from her home but she agreed.Dr. Campbell was exactly what Calvin and my daughter needed.  Dr. Campbell ran the necessary tests and concluded that Calvin has Addison's.  His bed side manner was terrific. Dr. Campbell was patient and thoughtful while explaining Calvin's condition to my daughter and offering treatment alternatives. In addition, he researched websites run by owners of Addison's dogs so my daughter could read more about it and contact other owners who have been dealing with this condition.Through the diagnosis process, Dr. Campbell was openly concerned about keeping the costs as low as possible without further jeopardizing Calvin's health. this vet has taken care of my two dogs a few times over the years and he has never cheated us on the cost or added expense, like other vets.  very honest guy.  yesterday my wife called his clinic because our little toy dog was limping and we thought his leg was broken. instead of making us get an appointment, like 99% of the other vets, this guy got on the phone for 5 minutes to discuss and told us to wait a day.  sure enough, the little dog was running around a few hours later with no problem.  in this day and age, where do you find people like this?  GREAT VET TO GO TO !!! We have taken our dog and cats to Dr Campbell for 7 years now, he is very knowledgable, professional and friendly. He clearly loves animals very much and has their best interest in mind. He never jumps to conclusions or makes you feel like he is taking advantage of you. He takes all things into consideration to make a decision. I can get my pet seen same day. Unlike other vets around the area, I don't have to wait a week or two, and if it's an emergency I can be seen right away. My favorite option is if there is no appointments, I can drop my dog off and they will be seen in-between appointments. Read Less

I called  5 different vets before I came across Bayside Animal Hospital. I am so happy I called them! My cat was hit by a car and had to have her lower jaw wired. This required multiple check ups and another procedure 6-8 weeks later to have the wire removed. The emergency vet I took her to advised me to find a vet that had experience in this kind of care. This is how I met Dr. Bradley. She actually spoke to me on the phone, not an assistant, about my situation when I first called. Dr. Bradley  is kind, patient, and compassionate, as well as one hell of a veterinarian!! My pets are my babies and I definitely trust their care to Dr. Bradley at Bayside Animals Hospital.The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly, and the prices are comparable, if not a little cheaper than everywhere else. When our cat was having an anaphylactic attack they gave her a shot of diphenhydramine (benadryl) and x-rayed her to rule out heart issues. They said to take her then to an emergency clinic in case she had another and get another emergency shot if needed. The charged me $45 for check up and $145 for x-ray, i thought they were very reasonable and professional with their accurate diagnosis and treatment. Read Less

Dr. Bradley was AMAZING with my cat. He came home today, after having 16 masses removed, purring, and acting like he had been to the spa:) My father was a vet, so I know a great vet when I meet one! I visited Bayside after I had a bad experience with another vet closer to my house. When I called to make an appointment, Samantha sounded concerned with the well being of Lacy and even started naming off options I had to get her into better health. Big plus for me that she was knowledgeable about these issues and didn't just want to make an appointment. As soon as I walked in the warm staff greeted me and we were seen very quickly. Dr. Campbell and one other tech came into the exam room and immediately started petting my little girl and giving her bones. After an examination, Dr. Campbell brought to light things that no other vet has ever informed me about and options to take care of her. He was very upfront and recommended that instead of having me pay for everything the other doctor told me we HAD to do, we just take things one step at a time and he'll do whatever I feel comfortable doing since he knew I was on a budget. Made me feel so great knowing I finally found an honest doctor that was knowledgeable and concerned with my girl and not with all the pricey things we could do, but are really not necessary for her happiness. Instead, he gave me a prescription for antibiotics, $19 and told me to start there. The other vet wanted me to spend over $600  on tests when Dr.Campbell knew right off the bat what was wrong just by a simple evaluation of her body. Five stars!!! Read Less

Dr. Don Campbell has provided excellent veterinarian services for over 15 years to our two dogs and all our foster pups. He is so very compassionate and never tries to push unnecessary treatments on you like I have had other veterinarians in the area do to me. However, recently my husband and I did ask Dr. Campbell to remove a cancerous tumor from our dog Kahn, (not the Doctors suggestion, only our asking for the surgery). Dr. Campbell is also a fabulous surgeon! Our 14 ? year old dog is doing fabulously, it is totally amazing. We are so very grateful to have this extra time with our K-9 son. Oh yes, Dr. Campbell even volunteered to come in on his day off to do the surgery. It is also a benefit to have one doctor that knows you?re K-9 and Feline kids well instead of other places that have numerous doctors looking through the past notes trying to figure out what previous doctors have said about your kids. If you are looking for an extraordinary doctor for your furry friends, you can?t find a better doctor than Dr. Campbell. Read Less

Dr. Campbell is a wonderful, caring veterinarian.  Over the decade+ that my family has been taking our animals to Bayside we have had nothing but respect for him.  He has guided us through some tough decisions, some sad goodbyes, and even some miracle recoveries.  He has treated our cats, dogs, rabbits, and even once . . . our chicken with such compassion and concern that it is truely admirable.  His staff is always friendly and helpful, too.  I have a long drive to bring my animals to Granite Bay, but they are worth it.  I would recommend Bayside Animal Hospital to anyone.
