I strongly recommend anyone considering Dr. Manchester. She has helped our dog over his life, always with such caring and skill. As he aged, she was so helpful in understanding his increasing challenges. Sadly, yesterday we had to put our dog down, one of the hardest things we have ever done, and she was sooo calm, so helpful, so kind, and so caring, not only of our dog, but of us. Dr. Manchester is incredibly knowledgeable and has a true interest in the well being of our dear pups! She expertly cared for our 2-year old lab as he underwent a bi-lateral knee surgery. He was in terrible shape. He couldn't walk and just before the scheduled surgery, got to a place where he had to hop around because it was too painful to use either of his back legs. Dr. Manchester and her team did such a fantastic job with Ryder's surgery and post care that it's been just under 6 months now and he is doing fantastically. His strength and energy has fully recovered (and then some) and his spirit and joy have returned full force. We can't thank Dr. Manchester enough. If you want an experienced, caring and very good surgeon and vet, I couldn't recommend Dr. Manchester more! Read Less

Dr. M was very helpful with my older cat. She did blood tests and gave me some information about hyper thyroids in older cats that was enlightening. The only reason not giving 5 stars is they took 2 1/2 to respond to blood test result on my cat, after calling twice and being told I would get a call back. Besides there timining of when to call patients back, this is an overall clean well maintained and friendly clinic to go too. Would choose the Redwood Pet Clinic over VC of Marin. Read Less

Dr. Manchester and Redwood Pet Clinic took care of my Bernese Mountain Dog, Jackson, for his entire life....12 years.  I can't say enough great things about the staff and Dr. Manchester.  For the most part, Jackson was a mostly healthy dog until his last year with us.  That's when he was diagnosed with a tumor/cancer in his paw and lymph nodes.  Rather than jump right into treatment, Dr. Manchester assisted me in making logical, sound decisions for a dog of his age.  In the end, instead of providing him treatment that would have made his last days miserable, I opted for no treatment.  He lived another happy 7 months.  Much longer than was expected.  Without her professional guidance, I would have probably moved forward with the expensive, painful treatment.  Thank you Redwood Pet Clinic for helping my Bernese live well beyond his life expectancy! I've taken various dogs here and I've always been happy with the treatments. Dr. Manchester knows her stuff and she clearly communicates what is needed, what to expect and time frames. She's really good with dogs and it makes the appointments very smooth. The prices here are very reasonable too.The team here also handles end of life transitions very well; they are compassionate and I think they couldn't have handled the moment any better. A+ work. We were really lucky to get a last minute appointment to bring in our bunny who was having some dental issues. We did need to wait awhile because a dog emergency came in but that is a positive in my book. We were able to get an appointment but if there wasn't one available I'd want them to take my pet in and treat her if needed. I've heard stories of other vets who weren't about the animals at all and I personally steer clear of them. Dr. Manchester is really nice and really good with the animals. I highly recommend her! After getting a second puppy, we looked for a new local vet and our neighbor recommended this one. The doctors are nice and sweet with our dog. When something painful is happening to the puppy, like getting a shot the vet comforts the dog and offers distractions so the dog is happy. The doctors have perfect advice on pets whether you are a long time pet-lover or a first time owner. On the phone they are also extremely helpful and answer every question in detail. Read Less
