We’ve been going to Dr Kumar for over 20years. I feel he is fair priced and they always make it convenient to bring in my animals. 2weeks ago one of my Golden’s got very sick, we left with several medications. Luckily he recovered and he is pretty much back to normal. But what I appreciate the most is that Dr Kumar called every 3-4 days to check on my dog. That was most comforting to me. Read Less

Wonderful, affordable vet in Hawthorne! We have taken our two dachshunds since we moved to the area over two years ago. One of our dogs started to have back issues and the Dr. was able to see him the same day. They did X-rays and saw one of the spinal discs was inflamed. They treated him with laser therapy and gave us medication to take home and instructed us to limit his movement. I’m happy to say that he has fully recovered! As a Dachshund owner, back issues are a problem we anticipate but are never prepared to experience. I’m so glad the office was understanding and squeezed us in within an hour of my calling and was equipped to offer laser therapy to help our little guy. Thank you, Dr. Kumars! Read Less

Found them on yelp because I had a test done at Vetco and my Border Collie puppy needed antibiotics but they told me to go to a Vet. Everyone was so welcoming and very friendly. I usually ask a million questions but felt no need to as they covered everything and were very informative and gave me some tips as well. I just adopted my first cat so I was very nervous. The staff was really friendly, they gave my advice on my new cat. The vet told me my cat had tapeworms, I freaked but the vet reassured me that it could be taken care of easily. My cat was injected (to kill the tapeworms inside) and I immediately bought revolution prescription from them to kill any fleas or ticks. Although, the vet said she didn't seem to have any. I went based on reviews and was disappointed. Way too pricey. Almost $400 for an exam, bloodwork, and 2 vaccines. I ended up taking my baby back to the Golden State Humane Society clinic in Long Beach where the prices are more reasonable for me. The drive is farther away, but very worth it. Read Less

The staff are very sweet and polite and so is the Vet. He is very knowledgeable about his profession. I took my mother's little Chihuahua dog to this place because It had a skin problem, he prescribed some medication and Garbanzo the little chihuahua is fine now. I just moved to Hawthorne, and was looking for a friendly vet for my doggie. I'm so lucky to have found these guys! The staff and doctor are very friendly and understanding. My dog has seizures and he explained why the medication is needed and what happens to his heart and brain when his getting a seizure. Very informative. I highly recommend him. Read Less

These guys are the absolute best!! And reasonably priced so that's a bonus. From day one when they took me with no appointment when no one else would, to the present day, I trust everyone there with my fur baby. Dr. Kumar has been great in treating all of Duke ailments, helping him beat cancer with Surgeries, managing his liver condition and taking care of all the other random things that come up with my dog. They ladies up front are so kind and patient when I call excessively for updates and always have an ear and hug on difficult days. Genuine kindness cannot be faked and I appreciate more than you know. Lets not forget about the guys in the back that do all the dirty work, they always have a smile and take good are of my boy. I brought my kitten about 1 year and half ago to get him neutered. They told me to come back in a few hours. There procedure seemed to be a bit pricier than what I have been told, in any case, they were efficient and quick. And there weren't any complications after the laser procedure. I have been so impressed with this veterinary office. I take my cat, Daisy, here ever since I found out she had a bladder stone. I took her to a vet that was closer first, but Dr. Kumar was much more thorough in his exam and found out that she had quite a rare type of stone. For this reason, the previous diagnosis and prescription from the other vet were actually harmful to her. My cats have been going to this Center all of their lives. They are quite comfortable in the waiting room, often wondering around on their leashes smelling all of the animals that were there before them. Sometimes I have to leave them in their carrier as there are large not-cat-friendly pets around, but that is a rare occasion. The vet techs are very quick and efficient and explain things to me repeatedly when I do not understand. The receptionist knows me (by pet of course!) and even asks about my mother's dogs when I come in! I would not take my cats anywhere else! Read Less
