I attempted to call this place numerous times.  The first time, I left a message because the answering machine said the office hours were 10-6...no one ever called me back.  Later that day, I tried again and the machine then said they were closed until 3:30 for surgeries...I attempted to call 3 more times but the line was constantly busy so I gave up.  Then, 2 days later, I tried again.  I called when they were supposed to be open, but the answering machine came on so I left another message...no one ever called me back, but at least the message had more details in it.  Then I tried 2 days later.....finally the call was answered...by a man who sounded like he could seriously not care less about my animal.  I told him the problem and, after about 10 seconds of complete silence, he re-stated it back to me...I confirmed that was what was going on and, after about 10 more seconds of complete silence, he asked mem to hold on; after about 3 minutes on hold, I had to place the call on hold (I was at work and a call came in); I was probably on for less than 30 seconds, when I went back to the call, apparently he'd come back to the line, discovered HE was on hold, then promptly hung up!  Guess I'll keep looking for a vet...after all the calls, no response to 2 messages left, then the finale being a rude, uninterested person, I give up on this place! Awful experience took my athena to be put to rest ..the doctor took so long she started having a seizure...my dog wasn't comfortable at all ...do not go here to to put your dog to rest...it was stressful and not what one wants with the last moments with your cherished pet... Read Less

My kitty was showing signs of possible IBD or other concerning illness with chronic vommitting and mouth ulcers showing up every month or so over the last yr. I had treated each time with steriods and antibiotics at the advice of a couple vets. One thought it was just rodent ulcers that will be lifelong. Another thought maybe IBD and was recommending a lot of tests that were going to costs hundreds of dollars. I asked about allergies but was told since he eats various things it wasn't likely. Finally this vet treated his recent ulcer and we had a follow up after my kitty started vomiting again. He said let's try a novel protein because this looks like an allergy. I was skeptical though glad he was trying out every option. He seemed to really care. I tried that out and have had all the kitties on a fish based diet. What do you know, there hasn't been vomitting or mouth pain showing in the last 2 months! I am waiting to see but he looks to be back to his healthy self and doing really well! Very long story, but quickly if u have a dog in pain that will need pain care for the rest of his life go somewhere else. I have been his client for 7 years and my old terrier he had been treating for pain. Then something happened the strangest change in behavior i have seen yet. He became rude to me cut back my dogs dose in half after been getting treated for full dose for 4 years. He cut it in half in one day, no tapering, no reasoning,i asked why and what else can he offer cause obviously u cant medically do that. He said he didnt know then hid in his office and would only talk to me through his assistant, who shrugged. Again the STRANGEST sudden switch not only to me but medically ethically. He had been great for years with all my dogs. 5 of them. I am an extremely loyal customer when i find good places, but im gone and very personally hurt he treated me so very bady, so so strange. Dr Bob is a miracle worker!  He removed a mammary tumor from our dog that was about 15% of her total body weight.  The stitches run the entire length on her underside - a really major surgery. She's had no visible negative reaction, and is recovering beautifully - with very little pain medication. Bob and his entire staff are very caring and genuinely want the best for the animal.  We were informed the whole way through the surgery, including photos.  His fees were very reasonable - in fact 2/3's less than it would have cost in Las Vegas for the exact same procedure.We highly recommend this Dr Bob and this office.  We will make the 3+ hour drive just so he can treat our animals.  If he does as good a job for you as he did us you will be very, very happy. Cheaper than most, and you don't feel like he is trying to just make cash w/extra services. The wait is very long and sometimes they are too busy to answer the phone, which probably goes hand in hand with being more affordable. Dr. Rinzon and his staff are AWESOME!! I had been going to another Vet prior to his retirement and since hadn't been able to find another dr. For my furry family members, then I walked into this office.  They are the greatest and treat your animals with care.  He is a no nonsense vet., not over medicating or over charging you for unnecessary treatments.  He gives you the real deal!!! My wife took the day off from work and drove 1 hour and 30 minutes to her appointment and was told upon arriving that the doc was not able to make it!!  We understand that stuff happens however a courtesy call would of been perfect!  At this time I'm demanding $30 for gas.  I will keep this review going until then... After having a few really nasty experiences with another vet, it was a welcome relief to experience Dr. Rizon's practice. The man at the front desk was extremely nice and friendly, and so was the vet tech who took my cat's temperature. I really liked Dr. Rizon. He is a very nice, gentle man. This office is very compact, the seating is quite awful, but dealing with very friendly, honest, competent and professional staff, makes it more than worth a little discomfort.I'm glad I found this vet. I don't believe Dr. Rizon would try to add unnecessary charges. He was the only vet I've seen that didn't try pushing a prescription diet before he even saw the animal, unlike Dr. Headley and Dr. Marla Greene in San Jacinto. The first visit only cost $49, which was less than other vets too!My experience was all around positive, and I also took the time to notice that the stuff they sell in the waiting room was reasonably priced. This also leads me to believe you aren't going to get unnecessary charges and suggestions for more money. Read Less

I started taking my pets to Doctor Rizon when I was caring for my grandmother. She had her pets with him since he took opened. He's always been kind, attentive and thorough. I recently had to use another vet in town when i was injured, because my family refused to drive over to that side of town. It ended up being the worst mistake and lost me two cats and my parents two cats. Now my while family goes to Doctor Rizon. He works really well with timid and feral animals as well. Read Less

Was so worried my dog couldnt open one eye and was limping. They were able to tell me he got dirt in his eye and my other dog probably jumped on him dislocating his knee. I got medicine for him since i was afraid of surgery for him since he is an older dog. After a few days he was acting like a puppy again and i cant be more happy. The staff and doctor are so friendly. Jordan (who checked me in) was very reassuring and pleasant since i am a very worried pet parent. Dr Bob is awsome! super knowledgeble, compassionate and HONEST! He will help and do what needs to be done and will not put your pet or your wallet through extensive medical ordeals just to make a buck. When I fist saw him 3 years ago my dog had ear infection and previous vet told me he needed an operation to see what is in the ear other than that he couldn't do anything for me. Dr Bob told me it was allergies and gave me ear drops and we never had problems since. Same positive experience every time. I highly recommend him! Read Less

Pets Vet is great. I took my 2 nine month old Airedale Terrier puppies there. They each had to have surgery and Dr. Bob did an awesome job! I was concerned as my puppies are very important to me, and quite expensive dogs, and I didn't want just anyone doing the surgeries. Dr. Bob was referred by a friend. I drove an hour to get to his office. I made the right decision, as everything went well, the puppies are recovering nicely, and all my anxiety on surgery day was unnecessary.
