I have 4 pets that go here. So far so good. Sometimes a long wait. Sometimes your in n out. Hit and miss. And only one incident I didn't like from the 5 years I've been going. And because I got a second opinion, from a different vet doctor, that works at the same place, I save over 1,000 bucks, my dog is in great shape. THIS PLACE SUCKS!!! I wish I could give no stars . I had taken my dogs here for years to get shots. Now I will never return.. The Dr. told me my dog needed to be put down because he had some liver disease and would die in a few days if he wasn't put down. He never specified what the disease was. I felt leary and in disbelief factoring my dog was only 2. So I made the appointment to put him down a week later I wanted to see how true a few days was. I couldn't find it in my heart to just let him go with no specific name to this "disease" he was carrying. WELL its been a few months and he's still alive .. I have taken him to another clinic and they said he's fine he could have just ate something wrong when I had taken him in to the last clinic. good thing you didn't put him down ! He now 3 and still living life as a normal dog ! so always go with your gut feeling if something don't sound right to you ! I love all my dog and will always go with my gut feeling over a quack dr. in less they can provide me with the name of what they are diagnosing my pet with . I do like Doctor B. And maybe 1-2 other employees BUT the staff on duty when DR. B. Is not working are completely useless. I sat in the waiting room waiting for 20min then sat for 30min in the small patient room with no air conditioning. This PLACE MAKES YOU WAIT FOREVER AND STILL CHARGES YOU A FORTUNE. Also I will point out that there was only one other customer there at the time so they flat out kept me waiting for nothing. Diagnosis is exactly what I told them it was. THE WORST VET OFFICE EVER!!!!!!!! My daughter had ordered a cremation and paw print for her dog that passed 2weeks ago. She went to pick them up last week and they had NEVER even ordered the paw print. Dog is now cremated and too late to do anything. The office staff, other than the manager, was very unprofessional. The girl who made the error completely ignored my daughter and barely apologized!!!!! The manager contacted the owner for a full refund and was told he could offer half the price back. More interested in money than animal care. People in the waiting room claim they get good care, but say they come back over and over. Wait - Does that make sense that they HAVE to come back over and over? Follow the money... We adopted a kitty that was 1.5 years old but not spayed. Illegal. Simply illegal. So we were offered a 'free' spaying, but we're told we would have to pay for pain meds and other fees that totaled $171!!! We left and went to our regular Animal Medical Center on Harbor and paid $49 which included pain meds. Stay away from AAA. Read Less

I come here for Casper's vaccinations and check ups. Staff is friendly and attentive. If you go on a weekday before 5PM, the wait is usually pretty short. They take your dog to the back and give the shots there. If you could, ask for doctor Dr. Rofail. It takes his time and really explains the situation to you until he feels that you understand. BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! I am posting this review hoping that it will help other pet owners not make the same mistake that we made. Our experience with AAA Animal Hospital in Huntington Beach was nothing short of a nightmare. Please do not make the same mistake we did. Research the reviews on YELP, Google, YP, BBB and other information available on the internet before taking your pet to this horrible place. My daughter took our beloved 2 yr old kitty Nala to AAA to get her spayed. About three days after the procedure Nala stopped eating, drinking and was lethargic. She took Nala to emergency care and was told that Nala is very sick and has a very high fever. They gave Nala fluids and an antibiotic shot and instructed to take her to our vet. the next day (it was late at night and vet. was closed). The vet. examined her and informed both of us that Nala was likely too far gone to save. Instead of having a fever Nala's temperature was now below normal and she was having trouble breathing on her own. We decided to do blood work and the results indicated a very low WBC. The vet. said that Nala was near death and only explanation was an infection from the spay operation. It seemed strange to me that a perfectly healthy young cat would die after a routine spay procedure. I did an online search for reviews of AAA and to my horror discovered a long list of negative reviews from pet owners who have had to suffer through experiences similar to ours. Many reviewers reported unsafe and unsanitary conditions, picking up pets that were injured / infected /traumatized while in the care of AAA. Then it got worst. I found a series of documents relating to a City of Costa Mesa investigation of the facility initiated after volunteer workers reported appalling conditions and cruel treatment of animals in their care. We can't afford to pay high prices,they are amazing and I won't go anywhere else! Staff is awesome! YES there is a long wait, but well worth it if you cant afford to go anywhere more expensive...besides aren't your pets worth the time? Seems like a lot of bad reviews, but my family has had nothing but good things from the staff to Dr. B. They are trying their best and deal with a lot of snobs who are not used to waiting and always getting what they want right away and they still treat the owners and animals with care. My father went there for all his cats he rescued and told us. Just took our dog in unable to walk with back legs. They took her in immediately, the owner/Dr is amazing and really cares, the staff/assistants are always kind and caring. Sometimes you have to wait an hour if they are busy and your animal is just in for a check up/shot...but we'll worth it. Oh and they are not expensive like other places.Thank you guys! Read Less

I have been taking my dog here for just about 9 months. She got her shots and spay done here. The assistants are always very nice. The doctors are always very nice with my dog and explain what they are doing and recommend before you leave for your next visit. I can't say enough about the doctors, the assistants, the front office people..everyone at AAA. We've had 2 rescue dogs over 10 years and have had to deal with health challenges and eventually say goodbye to both, with the help of the amazing of the staff at AAA. We just received a card in the mail signed by all the staff with a personal note from each sending condolences for our for most recent pet and it was the sweetest thing. They were able to accommodate an emergency boarding, including shots and flea treatment the day before. The techs were cordial and knowledgeable. If you are boarding, leave yourself an hour to take care of any drop off information, balances, and pick up. Cats were kept in separate cages although there is supposed to be a connecting door. Prices are reasonable and the calls forward to another animal hospital at night, so there is always communication available.Read Less

I've only taken my half yorkie half chihuahua to AAA Animal Hospital since she was 3 1/2 months and that was almost 4 years ago. I wouldn't consider taking her to any other vet. I too unfortunately only gave them 4 stars instead of the full 5 stars and the only reason for that is cuz they always take my scared little pup out of my arms and disappear into the back out of site until they finish. That would have to be my only but biggest complaint. I just don't like the idea of my baby somewhere in the back scared, cold, and god knows what else I would much rather have the option to stay with her through whatever procedure she might need done. Had to quickly help my dog over the Rainbow Bridge today after a horrible night of sickness. Dr. K. is quite possibly the best vet I have had the pleasure to meet. He was professional, compassionate, knowledgeable, and personable. All the things I look for in a vet. And he didn't try to talk me into attempting to treat my dog when it was obvious he was terminal. I appreciated that more than anything because I have been getting that treatment from the vet I had been using. Obviously a good way to make lots of money from a trusting pet owner, but not in the best interest of the pet. We were seen today by Dr. K (Kirollos Abdelmalek, DVM) and he was so nice and patient with my dog. Thank you! The girls at the front desk have always been nice and helpful, I wish they wore name tags to give them props individually, but since I started coming a few years ago, they are nice, give you advice if you ask, and treat your dog kindly. The only reason why I don't give them 5 stars is because they take your dog away for all treatments and shots and in the past with other vets I've been allowed to be with my dog for treatment. That's all. I've referred friends and they are happy as well. And it's really close to home and it has very convenient hours. We are happy with them.Read Less

This place is horrible, paid them an office vissit, for vaccinations, ended up getting anti biotics, because my dog got kennle cough next door in orange count human society. Was told I would get the next office vissit waived so my dog can come back for his shots. Now they refuse to treat my dogs, because I complained about them getting sick next door. So they basically ripped me off, and left my 2 $1500 pugs sick.now I have to go somewhere else and pay for another office vissit. There are much better places to go in orange county. We have recently experienced the adoption of a young badly abused rescue dog, and I want to share our story with you. Upon adopting "Tommy" from the Orange County Humane Society located in Huntington Beach we became immediately acquainted with AAA Animal Hospital. From day one AAA Animal Hospital and its entire staff were extremely caring and supportive of our "newest" family member, Tommy. Team Tommy was born! Dr. Anthony Rizk, DVM, has been our primary veterinarian and Dr. Goraya has been the primary surgeon repairing and reconstructing five fractured pelvic bones as well the entire jaw - both right and left sides. Two major restorative surgeries were required to repair Tommy's jaw. At all times Tommy's care was primary! We were totally informed regarding every procedure and required medical step in Tommy's recovery. Because of both doctors' expertise in assisting our family to understand our role in the post surgery process Tommy is making a very successful recovery. This spirit of care and involvement from the AAA staff made all the difference in the world. On behalf of Tommy and my family I cannot offer enough praise and thanks to the AAA Animal Hospital and its staff for the professionalism and genuine quality of care demonstrated by all. I adopted a kitten from the shelter, owned by AAA, the vaccination record had been falsified. I only know this for certain because I had fostered this very same kitten since 12 days old. When I hadn't found it a home I was instructed to return it to the shelter. After 2 weeks of it being there it got sick. I ended up adopting it to get it well. The vaccination record had stated the kitten was up to date on shots that are 3 sets of shots each give at 3 weeks. When I questioned the record with the Shelter office manager, she was extremely rude telling me that the record CLEARLY states the shots are due September 2016. Due the same day one year after it was brought into the shelter. Mirna the office manager was adamant it was right. The next day when I tried to voice my concerns with the owner, and showed the office staff the obvious, it was only then I was told that Mirna made a mistake. Instead of an apology, i received another nasty Email from the office manager, Mirna. I have helped get numerous kittens adopted from the shelter.
