And this business killed his dog by giving too much medicine. They were suppose to put dog under for a surgery but his dog never woke up. So it died. Took my cat in for an overdue visit to see Dr Gill. She was checked out and it was decided she needed to have a blood test. All went well and everyone is so nice and helpful that it makes it a pleasure to bring her here . Highly recommended Vet ! Read Less

Dr. Gill has been caring for my dogs since he opened his practice and I would not dream of taking them to anyone else. He is kind, skillful and intuitive. My kids--to be honest--are an unusual breed of terrier, not long-lived, but with Dr. Gill's help they have all continued to delight me for more years than could have been expected. He once performed a very intricate surgery on my senior boy which probably saved the dog's life. His staff is helpful and caring, as well. Dr. Gill has my confidence, my respect and my admiration. I was scared when everything I tried to do to help fix my dog Mikey's skin condition did not work,  and I really did try to do everything right,  but sometimes a doctor is needed! I felt at ease right away when I walked into the clinic,  because the nurse really made me feel as though everything was going to be fine, and she was very kind and sweet towards me and my dog. The vet spent so much time helping me with Mikey, and he gave me a lot of information,  reassured me that I was doing a great job with my dog (I was super stressed so that was nice!) , and besides giving me medication-he also gave me extra stuff to help clear up his skin issue. Overall,  the price was super low,  and his dedication super high. You could tell how much the doc really loved his job and wanted to take his time to care for every patient! *The clinic also took the time to call me a few days later to check up on my dog*Since then,  (It has been a week)  I've been doing everything he told me to do,  and Mikey's skin has almost cleared completely! I haven't had much interaction with dr Gil but he's very pleasant, caring, and explains things well. The prices are comparable to other vet clinics. Some things are more but other things less $. Balances out. The front office ladies are super nice. My dogs love them. They're always quick and do a great job when I bring Mary in for anal gland expression and nail trim. Read Less

The assistant ladies were very nice but the doctor only seemed to care about our stray kitten who had mites and worms until he tried to charge us $300 to treat her on top of the $35 for just seeing her for 5 minutes and another $30 for looking at her ear swab under a microscope. There was no one else in this clinic which is why we went here because all the others were booked up and the kitten needed medical attention but unfortunately that was a mistake. We then took the kitty to Pet Vet Huntington Beach and got her the same treatment for only $55. Who turns away a poor stray kitten? In my opinion, this doctor was a bit manipulative. Don't waste your money here when you can get the same treatment from a doctor who cares just down the street. No offense to any of the staff or doctor, I get they're just doing their job, but if you're simply trying to help a stray animal there is no reason to pay $300 when you can pay $55 somewhere else. We recently adopted a kitten with medical issues. Nothing too weird or out there but he will need a special food for the rest of his life. After finding this place that carries the food he was on, we made a last minute appointment. They emailed us back within 2 hours stating that we could come in. LOVE IT. Response time is amazing. We go in to the pet clinic and they take great care of us. Next day we get a follow up call just checking in with the kitten. Low and behold we just received a postcard welcoming our new kitten into their practice. If this doesn't show good service than I do not know what does. Way to go guys!! Keep it up. We have been going to Dr.Gil for over 10 years. He is very kind, knowledgable and caring. I highly recommend him. We have 2 dogs and he had helped us with everything from pancreatitis to a cornea scratch. Im not sure whats up with the 3 star review because he hasn't brought a dog there? That makes no sense. I have been taking my two dogs (Buddy &Luca) to Dr. Gil for years, and like most dog lovers, your dogs are your kids, so if there were ever an ounce of mistrust or dishonesty felt from Dr. Gil, I would have pulled the plug in a second.  I feel that Dr. Gil is very knowledgeable in his craft/ trade and has the experience to back it up!  I don't get the feeling that he is afraid of dogs, but he does have to be cautious as I assume most pets get a little weird at the vet, and sometimes do unexpected things.  As I read the bad review from the lady below two things come to mind.  She mentions being mis- quoted and had to yell at the front desk staff to get the quoted price. I have worked in sales and have done business with enough different types of industries to know there is a reason why they call it a quote....Yeah its called a quote or estimate because he doesn't know the exact cost at the time..  Welcome to the real world lady!  Things can change, especial in unique industries like veterinary medicine.  The other thing she mentioned is that they told her sister that she could be in the room, I question that for two reasons.  Every time Ive gone there they have you go in the room with your dog to help hold/ calm the dog, so this sounds strange to me.  The other thing is maybe there was a reason she wasn't supposed to be in there at the time. I'm no vet but i could think of a few reasons they may not want the "parent" in the room at the time (like contamination).Lastly, I feel his pricing is appropriate, and if it was too low I would question his practice all together.  He's a professional that people bring their "children" to, and trust him with their life.  He has a difficult job of treating patients that cant talk and tell him what wrong with them.  His staff is also very friendly and have been there a while, which says a lot too.  I hope this review is helpful. its rare that people write a good review for someone, its only if they have had a bad experience that they write a review.  I just know that people who care more about the welfare of their pets than anything would appreciate a good review on a trusted vet.Tim Brady Read Less

So I can't comment on Dr. Gill's performance regarding dogs because I never took in my family's dogs myself, but I have taken in my cats.Yesterday I brought in my cat for a checkup before we move, and Dr. Gill seemed to be very good with her.  She was calm as he inspected her mouth, checked her temperature, and put her back in the crate.  My cat didn't have a heart attack, and I didn't either for that matter.  My point is, it was a more comfortable experience than some other vet clinics my pets have been to.I don't really know what to say about the prices, but they seemed normal to me.  Dr. Gill took a blood sample, gave us some antibiotics, and charged for the check-up, and I wasn't shocked.So, in summary, in terms of a normal appointment with Dr. Gill for my cat, the visit was good.I'll leave the review at three stars since I can only comment on my cat and not my dogs.  It could go up or down later depending on future visits. He could have charged me for a lot of medicine and services but was very clear, upfront, and truthful about what we needed and what we did not. We've been going to Dr. Gil now for almost three years with our chocolate lab. She was a mess when we got her as a rescue dog and Dr. Gil was great at doing thorough exams and getting her all on track inside and out. We've been many times for vaccinations and a few other little things and his office is always able to get us in very quickly. I think his prices are very reasonable compared to some other vets who have much bigger facilities and staff. We have taken our Schnauzer to the Adams pet clinic since he was a puppy and we have been very satisfied.  Dr. Gil is a very caring vet and he knows how to make the dogs feel comfortable.   They are always available to see my dog at a short notice, and they no his history so they are able to provide the best treatments.  Their prices are good, and they will try to save me money when possible.  Overall, I recommend them because of how they treat me as a customer and how they treat my dog as a patient, with kindness and compassion. I write this almost teary. I brought home a sicky cat from the vet, she was so sick. Dr. Gill was able to see me sooner than anyone. He let me know everything, he answered all my questions without confusing me and he was honest without trying to sell me a bunch of crap. This place is small with one doctor so pretty much when I'm there its not a zoo and my cat doesn't get freaked out. I'm just so thankful shes better, and for a very fair price. this clinic WILL rip you off! they quote you a price and have you sign a form saying that you are agreeing to a procedure and any other medications that may be necessary. Well its going to turn out to me like $300 more in medications than excepted. I got my Dachshund spayed there for like $500 bucks and they quoted me $150 i asked them why the price went up so much they said " the dog was in pain, do you want the dog to suffer?" wtf hes like 15 lbs there's no way he needed that much more meds.
