We have been bringing our pets to Culver Pet Clinic for years. Our 20 year old cat requires weekly treatments, so our family has been there on a weekly basis for almost a year and a half. Our family has seen a sharp decline in animal care since staff member Wendy left. My cat began crying a lot more during her treatments, and the treatments took longer. (Except when Ricky performed them. Ricky is very good). I've heard a staff member speak harshly to my cat who struggles during treatments. And increasingly, there were more incidents that collectivley left us with the impression that they were tired of dealing with our cat and her illness. But since we have 4 animals, each with a long medical history at the office that predates Dr. Keng's arrival, we were hesitant to start over somewhere else.Because our animals are older, we always let the office know when we are out of town and our college age children are caring for them. (Wendy always left us assured that they would be there if anything happened.) During our recent trip, my cat began to pee blood. When my daughter called the office, a staff member told her they didn't have room for her because it was grooming day, and grooming takes up the cages. My daughter asked if peeing blood was an emergency, the staff member told her it was up to her and the cat to decide!?! My daughter called us upset. I called the office to advocate for my cat getting in to see someone. A cat you have had for over 20 years is a child, they are the doctors she sees weekly, and I was helpless and concerned on the other side of the world. They didn't care about that. I expressed that given our extensive history at the Culver Pet Clinic, and our cat's advanced years, her care should be a priority. No, it's not. They explained to me that grooming had taken up all the cages, there was another emergency, and there was no room for her. Okay. That fact that grooming is more important than my pet's care was tough. The fact that the person I'm talking to is completely apathetic about my situation and doesn't like my cat anyway made it worse. We didn't sleep at all that night out of concern for our cat.As a long standing and weekly client, I tried to talk to Dr Keng. It is very clear. They just flat out don't care. If they don't care about clients they've had for years and see often, that spend thousands of dollars at their office annually, that trust them with the lives of their aging fur babies, what are the chances they are going to care about you and your animal family? They won't. Read Less
