The wonderful doctors of Irvine boulevard animal hospital have been taking wonderful care of my dogs for 10+ years. Doctor Dave is such a joy to work with and is clearly passionate about his career. I also adore doctor Kaplan. My dog had a little paw emergency, and as a crazy neurotic jewish dog mom, I was worried sick and called the vet immediately. Doctor Kaplan took my Oliver "Marty Cohen" Lipsky-Nguyen five minutes after I called. She's an exceptional vet with such a kind heart. I can kvell all day long. Dr Driscoll has been my Veterinarian for the past 15 years. Dr Driscoll is the most caring and talented Veterinarian I have ever met. He is extremely thoughtful and thorough, and personally calls after certain types of appointments to follow-up on the welfare of your furry friend!!! I have been bringing my cats to the Irvine Boulevard Animal Hospital for over 9 years now.  My cats have generally been very fearful at the vet and Dr. Dave Driscoll has been great with them.  After my first cat Sebastian died at 16, I tend to be a little on the worrisome side when it comes to the health of my cats.  Dr. Dave has been able to provide reassurances that the cats are fine.  He is careful with his recommendations and doesn't try to pressure you into unnecessary testing.  His staff are friendly as well.  I wish he had been my first vet and perhaps Sebastian wouldn't have been so fearful! This is first time visit for us to this pet hospital in our neighborhood area, and our little puppy is just two months old. It is just OK, not as good as what I expected and saw from the previous comments. Maybe my puppy is tiny (2lb), they might have more experience and take better care of big dogs(at least over 4lb). I bought the puppy wellness package for my puppy and paid the listed price $279. My puppy got two vaccination injections today. The interesting part is that they list to give $20 off new client exam in my invoice, but the front desk said the listed price already included the discount. Maybe because I cannot offer a Yelp coupon. In summary, it is just ok. Read Less

This is the BEST vet hospital I have ever been to, both down in SoCal and SF Bay Area.They are honest, incredibly helpful, never make you feel rushed, answer your questions thoroughly, and every single person I've encountered here has been very nice.We took our dog here when we first moved to the area, and when we adopted another dog who had a cyst on her foot, they were able to examine it and remove it without putting her under anesthesia (which another vet wanted to charge 4x the amount for the anesthesia and major surgery).Sometimes you go to a practice where there are multiple vets, and only one of them is the "good" one - but not in this case.  Both vets are excellent here, so I never have to worry about which one will be seeing my precious furkids, and I can always trust them to make the best recommendation for our dogs.Highly, highly recommend this animal hospital if you're in the area! Wonderful Dr. & Staff. This summer my 18 year old rescue kitty became ill. I took her to see Dr. Dave for a check up. Unfortunately, after 18 years she was found to have an incurable disease. Dr. Dave is awesome! We moved nearby last summer, and over the winter had a serious health issue come up with one of our cats. Dr. Dave spent so much time helping us understand what was going on with our kitty's kidney failure. He talked to me on the phone multiple times, and really helped us through the process. We ended up having to put our kitty down, but Dr. Dave was so helpful and compassionate and honest through the process that I would not hesitate to take our other cats and new puppy here. Read Less

When I first moved to Irvine this was the vet I chose to try out. Now years later, I've moved a little further away but I still choose to return to this one. They've always been so nice and genuinely really seem to care about each pet. I can ask questions with Dr Dave and I feel like I get sincere answers and am not forced or pressured to do anything I don't want to do or may not agree is necessary at that moment. Read Less

I bring my two dogs here, they love Dr.Driscoll and Dr.Meinert (both excellent Dr. they always spend so much time going over everything). My dog is prone to allergies and he always gets him feeling better. My other dog had worms when we first got her and he was able to get her all fixed up and worm free(also they have a puppy package which is a steal). Staff is very friendly and helpful, prices are equivalent to the last vet I was going too but the service here is much better. They are always able to get us in whenever we have a problem. BEST VET ANYWHERE! I have been taking my dogs to Dr. Dave for years! I had to move out of the OC and live in Palm Springs now and I still commute them in to this wonderful hospital and staff. I took my dog there when he hurt his back leg, I really like the fact that Dr. Driscoll thoroughly explained everything he could about my dogs injury, and gave me choices in regards to what could be done about it. I like that he offers conservative treatment choices as well as more invasive ones, explained pros and cons of both and let me decide what to do and then supported my choice. He is extremely patient and took time to answer several questions I had. The staff is very nice and I would recommend this vet to friends and family.
