I LOVE this place. The staffers are great- they love our dog just as they would their own. Special shout out to two employees - Jennifer and Destiny who are especially invested in our dog's life as well as genuinely interested in his health, wellness, and care. We appreciate that more than words could describe. We can't say enough good things about this Hospital and can't imagine taking our dog anywhere else. This staff truly go above and beyond for my dogs. While on vacation I left my Chihuahua' s with Irvine to be boarded. While away I received text updates with photos attached. Destiny sent me detailed information in regard to that day. The pictures were amazing. Irvine Valley Veterinary hospital is in my opinion the best in Orange County they have a beautifully picked staff the works hard and efficiently as a team to ensure the health of their clients. All doctors are very nice and explains patients health in a way that I could understand, the receptionist Rayleen was fast at setting an appointment for me and was able to provide excellent customer service and was extremely helpful in setting an appointment just right for me. My guinea pig had an abscess and they were able to help my fur baby. Would definitely recommend the place. I call the day of and they were able to see me. When I walked in they were very nice and friendly. The front staff is so sweet and really spent time and effort getting to know me and my pet. Also they are able to text you and as someone who doesn’t love phone calls, that was very game changing. Irvine Valley Veterinary Hospital continues to impress me all the time! I have been taking my Golden Retriever here for over a year now and I can't say enough amazing things about the vets, staff, and facility. I am always welcomed with a smile, everyone is incredibly nice and I genuinely feel that they care for my dog. I take her there for everything from veterinary visits to baths to boarding. Destiny has time and time again impressed me. I once left my pup there for a few weeks while I traveled out of the country and I received updates and pictures on a regular basis while I was away and felt my pup was being very well cared for. Destiny goes above and beyond and always sends my dog (as well as her bed) home clean, happy, and with a thorough report card! Yesterday, I took my dog in for a bath and guess what...Destiny sent her home looking beautiful with not only a bath but some personal grooming touches as well. I highly recommend this vet! I just moved to Irvine from LA area, with my Snow and Teddy (two poodles). I took Snow for her Rabies vaccine today. The hospital is quit and clean. Love it. My Snow seem to like the place. I decided to take Teddy next time here too. Jennifer, the recipient, is warmhearted. There was a bit waiting time for me, since I didn't make an appointment. But generally a great place. And they sent me a puppy bag, although we are puppy no more. For the price, I got 50% off for the new client, and another 50% for writing this post. So the exam cost me 0. Read Less

Dr. Mauna is an AWESOME doctor. This vet hospital was so sweet. I was running late and they understood, there was less than 10 min wait time and the front desk girls were so friendly and sweet! Then brought back the vet tech Christopher was very helpful and thorough, then we met Dr. Mauna, and he has the best energy. Positive and upbeat, thorough and checked my puppy with compassion and made sure to cover everything. My pup got a treat and a toy! Totally love this pet hospital. Has been a loyal customer since 2013. They do wonderful job on Vaccines and nail trim. Really appreciate every thing they have done to my doggys. I have an extremely anxious chihuahua who will not allow anyone to touch him. Oliver, our German shepherd puppy, has been coming here since he's a baby and had all his vaccines and wellness exams here as well. The people who work here are so friendly and kind and very helpful and have helped us every step of the way. Oliver is now 41 pounds and 4 months and is a healthy baby boy and it is thanks to these guys! We're actually here right now because he has a slight fever and is starting a course of antibiotics and they were so prompt with his appointment and check up. Oh! And we kept him here for boarding for a week as well, over Xmas break :) at only 8 weeks. We feel very safe and trust this hospital. Not to mention their fees are quite reasonable too. Read Less

I haven't been able to find a good animal hospital since moving to Irvine because all the prices in the area are way too expensive! Stumbled across this vet clinic less than a mile from home. Super affordable and really friendly staff! The first thing the doctor did when he came in was sit on the floor to greet my dog and let her smell him. Place was very clean and there was no wait time at all (with appointment). I was in and out in less than half an hour. $29 for first office visit and $11 vaccines on Tuesday's. My dog Spencer has been coming here for 9+ years. He was a frequent flyer and I loved Dr. Kelly who retired a few months ago. Fortunately, Jen at the front desk has stayed and helped Dr. McInroy and Dr. Wright take over smoothly.  Spencer doesn't like new people handling him in exams so I was quite impressed that Dr. Wright spent a good  10 minutes just befriend Spencer before she even started an exam. She was so patient and Spencer's comfort was important to her as it was to me. Now he loves her!! Spencer needs a  bath weekly (skin condition) and the price is reasonable. They also board animals for a better price than other places.  The entire staff goes out of their way to make the office a comfortable 2nd home when I board him.  I know he'll get tlc. Read Less

Dr. Wright is the new doctor here and she is outstanding... She is the most compassionate vetI have ever met.. Talks to you on a caring, kind and compassionate level.  She presents her findings and helps you to make an educated descision on how to proceed with your pets care.    Her staff is all very kind and helpful as well.  I particularly liked her tech Kat who is very calm and returned my call when I had a question on medication.  It's taken me a long time to find such a wonderful caring office.. Fantastic place to bring your pets! Animals are in good hands here :)We adopted a 9 week old Malamute puppy, Raksha, and had initially scheduled our first visit for a week after we got her. When we called to make the first appointment - they offered us a "puppy wellness package" which is an -excellent- value. It's all of your puppy shots, exams, a puppy welcome kit (tips and tricks, toys, treats and some food samples) a nail clipping and a discount on the spay / neutering for under $300.Then a scary thing happened: 3 days after adopting her, I found her virtually unresponsive on the bathroom floor! She was clearly not feeling well. I called them right away and they got me in to see Dr. Wright an hour later, same day.They took X-rays and blood, and could tell she had something wrong with her stomach / abdomen. They told us to wait 24 hours, and come back first thing in the morning. I called them twice more that day when I was concerned about her, and never once made me feel as though I was overreacting or "worried about nothing".  The next morning, she still wasn't better - and they scanned her for Parvo, x-ray'ed her again and took her blood. Dr. Wright decided surgery was the best option - and talked us through it, took the time to reassure us that our puppy was in good hands, and let us have some visiting time before taking her away (still didn't ever make me feel ridiculous for bawling my eyes out that she was getting surgery.)They called us right away when she was out of surgery (it ended up being a kinked bowel - scary stuff.) - and going to pick her up - we had a WHOLE NEW PUPPY! Her energy was back, her tail was wagging. The "maybe she's just mellow" puppy has been bouncing off the walls since! They ensured we had all the medication, special food for a few days, instructions for "post surgery care" and everything to keep puppy well for the important days after surgery. Whenever we called with questions (worried puppy parent questions especially), everyone was professional with answers.Going back for our "first" exam today and to get staples out just encouraged us to write a review - Dr. Wright was so happy to see Raksha (who was happy to see her too), and gave her lots of love and treats. All the staff loves her and argues over who gets to carry her to the back for her shots. They're all so excited to see her doing well and growing like a real puppy now! I made my appointment over the phone with Jennifer, who is an awesome receptionist. Very friendly. I told her my dog needs a triflexis refill, for her heart worm med. And in order for a new prescription, she needs a test to make sure her heart is ok. She said the exam was going to be $58. But when I showed up they said a full exam was needed, and that is over $100.At my appointment, I realized Dr. McInroy is the new doc and Dr. Kelly has retired and sold her practice. They had a very inexperienced vet tech in black scrubs who came in the exam room. He did not introduce himself and asked for me to hold my dog up on the table to measure her body temp with a thermometer. When the doctor finally came in, she said that because my dog is a shiba inu, they are the type of breed that needs a muzzle during the exam. My dog is 3 years old and always did well at vet exams every time else where and never needed a muzzle.However, I went along with it and helped them put a muzzle on her. The new tech tried to hold my dog but he seemed nervous and doesn't know what he is doing. Finally the doctor told him to switch with another tech, Mario, who is much better and nicer.A few weeks later I noticed my dog had a chipped tooth ( I am a dentist (for human)) so I am extra aware of my dog's teeth. I called back and asked if the doctor can look at her teeth since last time they muzzled her and skipped the dental exam. They told me they would have to charge me again for the exam :( I just felt since they neglected to check the last time, they would not charge me again. My cousin's dog also used to see Dr Kelly, and had a bad experience with the new Vet. Who diagnosed a dental issue with it an X-ray and just wanted to pull the tooth...I decided to switch to Back Bay Vet hospital near John Wayne airport. Dr. Fanous is amazing there. My dog ended up getting a root canal at the specialist but at least we saved her tooth Read Less

I took my dog in for some shots & a physical exam on 10/27/2015, I don't knw what they did to him inside....when Dr. Nila said he collapsed after his ear was being cleaned. He was put on oxygen & declared DEAD shortly after!!! Stunned & still in dis-belief, as he was the most affectionate, calm & sweet dog you would ever meet in your lifetime, to top it all he was only 7 years old :( :( Read Less
