Absolutely outstanding old school vet. If you love your pet, take them here. Most practitioners of medicine these days (be it for people or pets) simply follow a protocol instead of dutifully observing a patient, taking a detailed history and doing a thorough exam. Not so here. Dr. Grosz is a professional who treats patients, not protocols, and he does it with Love. We will never take our pets anywhere else. Thank you Dr Grosz and your staff for taking such great care of our beloved 14 year old Lab!

I can't speak to whether Dr. Grosz is a good vet or not (but I can't not choose a rating). I just stopped by to check the place out in my search for a vet for my 6 month old husky puppy. He seemed to be the only person at the location, and referred me to someone else in La Jolla because he didn't like huskies. He didn't offer his reasoning for not liking huskies, and was perfectly friendly, but just an FYI for husky owners in search of a vet, I hope this quickens your vet-finding process.

Dr. Grosz is the best Veterinarian in town! I have been taking my pets to him well for over 15 years. He's honest, straightforward, caring and compassionate. He cared for numerous of my pets, including my 20 year-old Calico, Andi. He was quick to make a correct diagnosis about her teeth (when other vets had me worried about an infected tooth and falsely warned me about possible death from infection), and was able to help diagnose her loss of leg use to overuse and not nerve damage--she lived another year with his correct recommendation of a week of at-home approved e-stem and "physical therapy." He considered Andi's needs, the owner's finances, and realistic time frames. He was there till the end of Andi's life, and so compassionately guided me through her last days and the decision to euthanize. Andi chose to die at home, in my arms, just a half-hour before her appointment with Dr. Grosz. You and your loved pet will be in the best hands ever with this doctor..Andi, and all of my pets and I are so fortunate to have him as our physician!

I live with 9 cats. But that's a different story. I wouldn't trust anyone except Marlin with any of my pets. He's been running this clinic for over 20 years and he's the best. Highly recommend him.

I've been using Dr Grosz for about 6 years. I trust him, and like that he never tries to upsell anything. He's straight with you and gives you what you need at a reasonable price. And Debra is always a pleasure too. I have moved farther and farther away from PB and still make the trek there to see him from La Mesa because I trust him with both dogs. By the way I was referred to him by someone who's been going there for 20 years like some of the other reviewers.

Great neighborhood vet. I have been taking my animals for over 20 years and really like Dr Grosz's expert care. He's honest and caring and you always feel you have the best care for your pets. I especially like him, because I feel I get the real story and he always has time for my questions and for me.He was so compassionate when our old Australian Shepard Bear, was dying and gave us lots of great help with him those last few months.Now, our old Yorkie, is blind and Dr. Grosv is helping us to navigate through this stage with ease. She's doing fine with an occasional wrong turn, but otherwise she's great.I can highly recommend him to anyone looking for a new vet to care for your pets for their life with you.
