Fletcher Hills Animal Hospital has been at the same location since 1965. It was first opened by Dr. Brown who owned the practice for over 20 years before selling it to Drs. Harold Stephens and Cheryl Clark. Dr. Scott Jacobs became the new owner in January of 2010. "Upon first seeing the practice in 2009, I was immediately charmed by the friendly staff and cozy decor," says Dr. Jacobs. "I was especially inspired by the practices' mom and pop sensibility and how it continued to thrive in an age of gentrified multinational conglomerates, big box chain stores, and fast food service. I want to maintain that sense of old fashioned hospitality while adding cutting edge technology. In additional to the latest telemedicine available, we now have digital X-rays, a digital dental X-ray system, a new Dentalaire Dental system, EKG and all the latest anesthetic monitoring equipment." Clients of Fletcher Hills Animal Hospital can expect personalized service and a committed effort to work with them towards achieving the best care for their pets.

I really love the staff here. Super friendly and helpful and my dogs really like them too. They are very gentle and supply plenty of cream cheese when shots are involved. They were so good at distracting my new pug puppy that she didn’t even notice when they chipped her! They all genuinely care about the pets and the owners.

After meeting Dr. Jacobs for the first time we were so impressed and grateful for his level of care toward our "baby", that we knew we had found the perfect vet. He made our baby feel comfortable and kept petting him while he explained to us what he was doing. Dr. Jacobs is very professional, compassionate and knowledgeable.
His staff is beyond amazing. Charmain, Kim and Colleen are angels who always make us feel welcome and answer all our questions professionally, regardless of how embarrassing or dumb. (we're new parents) They always remember to follow up and keep us up to date on our puppy's health. They're also very conscious of the inevitable emergency situations that arise from having a very curious puppy, and they always manage to let us see Dr. Jacobs on last-minute basis.
Their location is very easy to find - just off the freeway - with plenty of free parking. The clinic is very clean and well organized. We are so happy with everyone here that we don't mind making the 10-mile drive because we know our puppy always gets the best service in San Diego with a kind smile.

I have been taking my dogs to Fletcher Hills Animal Hospital for several years ... a co-worker recommended them to me. Dr. Jacobs and his staff are extremely knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and accommodating. They treat my dogs like their own. Dr. Jacobs is the new owner, and he's great. My favorite part of the practice, though, is his staff. Thanks, Charmain, Kim and Colleen for always treating me and my Labs so well! I appreciate all you do! I highly recommend Fletcher Hills Animal Hospital.

Dr. Jacobs and his staff are extremely knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and accommodating. They treat my dogs like their own. Dr. Jacobs is the new owner, and he's great.
