The staff are caring and kind to the pets . I took my dog Canela in for an exam and to check her growth on her gums. The Dr. said it was a tumor and removed it, the next day . They ran tests to see if my 11yrs dog could have the surgery . It was a good to have them take the step to check her overall health. My dog was calm and happy when she went in and relaxed when we picked her up. She was never scared, everyone  is very nice . I have been a return customer for 10yrs. They 're fast friendly and Affordable. The only issue I run a cross is trying to call them with the cell phone they provided, or their voicemail is not set up and/or it's full so they don't have a good way to call & speak to someone in person. When I have left messages in the past they don't return any of the multiple calls I left on the voicemail. Also they don't have website up to contact them an alternative way via email or 2nd business line so you're better off going in person during business hours posted. If they are out to lunch between 1-2 then you should wait outside in the chairs until they get back since they tend to get packed pretty quickly & it's a smaller waiting room to sit inside the building. This is a great clinic. I highly recommend it :) I used to take my previous pets and my current one to my previous veterninaian clinic which has been in a time frame of over 6 years. For the last 3 of those 6 I have taken my little boy since he was 2 months old wen I first got him. I recently have switched over to this clinic. When I first came to this clinic they were very friendly and made me feel at ease right away. I loved the fact that they asked me if wanted to be in the room with my baby while he was getting his yearly up to date vaccinations rather than just taking him from me and bringing him back when they are finished. They were tentative to both my feelings and that to the feelings of my baby, also they saved me a bundle. Not only did I pay literally half of what I had previously paid at my old clinic, they also told me that on the list of procedures I brought with me for his yearly renewal of vaccinations were not even necessary saving me even more. And when ever I have needed anything from this clinic they have done what they can to make sure that I get it. I needed my dog's past medical records from my old clinic and had the hardest time trying to obtain them and when I called here they got them to me with no problem. Read Less

Been taking my critters there for years and they have always taken excellent care. Wish they had a lower exam rate though for quicker exams $30 is rate which is not too steep unless you have lots of critters like me. I'm animal poor. Read Less

I have taken around 20 cats here (most feral) for spay/neuter and I have not had any problems. They are extremely affordable and have never tried to price gouge me like other vets in the area. They only have one exam room, which can cause a bit of a wait, but I think that's what keeps their overhead down, which in turn keeps their prices down. The vets there seem to be very knowledgeable, I'd even venture to say even more knowledgeable than some of the pricey vets in the area. The receptionist is very kind and friendly and so are the vet techs. I don't have any complaints and I would recommend this clinic to my family and friends. Read Less

Warning do not take your pets to this clinic! We took our female bulldog in for an ear and eye infection, and now she is no longer with us! Dr. Nick Lopez was more concerned with taking the easy way out or simply charging more for the procedure and did not consider our dogs health before putting her under. She went in for a simple procedure anesthesia was not necessary. This clinic did not do what was in the best interest of the animal, instead they did what was in the best interest of their pocketbook. We hope no one else has to go to this horrible experience. The dr was amazing with my puppy and answered all the questions I asked. The receptionist is very nice and pleasant to talk to. Their adoption/re-homing employee was very nice and helped to ease my concerns. Both my Jinjo and my whisky cats were sick. First time pet parents I didn't know where to go or what to do. Decided to come to this pet clinic being that they are close to home. I don't know why I never reviewed this place before. These guys are horrible and have no compassion for your animals. I'd give zero stars if I could. They shouldn't even be in business. I first went to them for my beagle/Pom mix Sparky many years ago. He was an active happy dog but he started throwing up and wasn't being himself. This clinic told us he had anemia and so the Dr. got us to buy some bottles of really expensive antibiotics. My dog got worse and died a few days later. It was a horrible experience and none of you should go through the same thing. I was naive and I didn't question them. I really believed there was no other way to help my dog. I felt even more guilty about putting him through three more days of pain when I could have put him down. These guys took advantage of us. Maybe my dog could have lived. I'll never know now. The dogs that I have now used to have ear mites. Their ears would smell and no matter how much we washed them their ears still smelled horrible! Before I realized my mistake in bringing my pets to this we took them here and they kept saying my dogs didn't have anything wrong with them but convinced us to buy these eardrops which did absolutely nothing. We took them to another vet to board them for a weekend and they ran some mandatory tests. They found ear mites so they fixed our pups right up and haven't had that smelly ear problem since. The Animal Clinic is incompetent and only out to get your money. They don't care about your animals at all and won't hesitate to milk you of all your money on medicine that does nothing for your animals. Read Less

Love this vet! They saved my kitten after he broke his hip. They did the surgery for a lot less than most vets were going to charge.  Friendly and caring staff who made sure my cat was very well taken care of. They offer low cost vaccines as well as spay and neuter.  We also bring our Lab here and have had great service!  The receptionist was very sweet and helpful as well. Read Less

I brought my dog here to have him euthanized.  I've never been happy with Whittier vets, so many times we opted to drive to VCA in Torrance, but our baby was suffering and we didn't want to prolong his pain.  I called several places, but the girl that answered here sounded the most compassionate of all receptionist.  Someone mentioned this place looked like a "third world" clinic and that sounds about right.  There is nothing fancy here, but they were respectful and understanding.  They waited til we were ready.  They didn't mind that we brought our other dog with us and kids to say goodbye.  As for the procedure, it was one injection only.  I know it's considered more humane to inject a sedative before the final injection, but maybe they didn't think it was necessary for Guerro (he was unable to move at this point.)  They also didn't use a catheter.  A catherter is used when pet owners are present so it's not "messy", according to receptionist from other office.  At first I was worried, but Guerro went peacefully, and we were with him until the end.  Many low income pet owners may want to be with their babies til the end, but the cost of a catheter may not allow them to do so.  We need more low cost clinics for animals.  I don't care if they look like third world clinics if their hearts are in the right place. who ever is reading this l Urge You to NEVER Go TO THIS CLINIC ! They gave us Meds that we didn't need. Please do not Go here ! They Killed my day and my cat !!! this is no joke. MY dog was just Going in for a shot because she had arthritis  then the next day she didn't want to eat and then the fallowing day she was throwing Up every where. 3 Days After the injection we had to put her down! ! THESE PEOPLE DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR PET JUST YOUR CASH!!! Then 3 days after we put Our dog down we had to put down our cat! these People are SICK and rude.
