My first time visit with my bunny. The gal who answered the phone was very understanding and accommodating. When we went in for our appointment, the gal behind the counter was great. Dr Bobeck was the vet that we saw and he was very warm and caring. We had to euthanize my little guy so it was a very heartbreaking time for me. I appreciated so much the way I was treated by the vet and the staff, especially Nicole. I highly recommend them for your animal friends. I never saw the doctor! They called and asked me to come in 20 min later than original appt. No problem, I get there, they then say the doctor stepped out to pick up his car that got work done. Took my dog here for the first time because my girlfriend convince me to give this place a try due to past experiences. Like anybody else who cares for their animals, nobody wants to take their animal to a place where they don't feel comfortable. After being in the room with the vet and seeing the way he interacted with my dog and how thorough he was about making sure every little detail was checked, I would have to say I felt extremely comfortable with taking my dog to this place. I took my sick bunny here seeing as they accepted some exotic pets and left extremely relieved. Dr. Levoy gave my bunny Momo an extensive check up and sent us home with proper medicine. Momo was back to normal in less than a week. Read Less

Ive been taking my pets here since 2000 and everything was great save the wait to be seen at the appointed time. In the last 3 years however it's gone down hill. My dachshund was recently in there for a teeth cleaning 2 months ago and an operation was performed by cutting through the outside of his mouth without my consent. I've since had to switch to a much better hospital that today had to remove all of my poor dogs teeth on account of rot which clearly should have been noticed well over a year ago since he had 3 cleanings done at baldyview. I will no longer be subjecting my four legged family to the pain of this animal hospital. Read Less

Took my cockatoo there to get nails , wings done and they also did her beak , made her bleed . They may be nice but she hasn't been the same poor thing is hurt and in pain probably since there's a nerve right where they hurt her. Don't take your birds here not worth the money or time . Read Less

Dr. Levoy is such an amazing vet. You can tell he has a lot of passion in caring for the animals. I brought in Cid, a cockatiel, yesterday who was very sick. Dr. Levoy was so full of information and was very thorough with instructions with how to hold the bird, prep/give the medication and how to store it properly away. It was also an experience to be able to be next to him and watch him perform his exam/care with the poor little guy. The girls that helped me, and also Jeremy, were all an awesome staff. All of them took great care of me and little Cid. Just make sure to give yourself extra time for your appointments. They take a longer time with you and your pet, but that comes with a lot of care and attention coming from this wonderful staff. :) Thank you everyone! Read Less

Baldy View clinic gave us a helping hand when we needed it the most. Our fifteen year old boxer finally stopped getting up from bed and we had to take him in. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The doctor came out to greet me at the car and even offered to execute the procedure in the back of the truck to avoid causing our dog any more pain. I appreciated the gesture but we carried him into the room and onto the table anyway. There we said our goodbyes and the staff was very patient with us. If you guys read this, thank you all. I have been going to Baldy View off and on for about 15 years.   I hadnt been there for a few years and found myself needing to have my dog cremated.  I was suprised at how the compassion from the front office had changed.  they could care less - I walked in with a dead dog in my hands (covered completely in a blanket) and was asked what is it that is wrong with my animal.  i told her that I called earlier and the animal was deceased.  all i got was, "are you a client"- not an "im sorry" etc, just "whats the last name" I wanted to yell "I am here so I must be a client.  the front office is uncaring and rude!!!!  there are too many vets out there to waste anymore time and money. We took our new pet rat to Baldy View when he started showing signs of serious illness, including heavy breathing and extreme lethargy. Although the vet we saw was friendly and *seemed* to know his stuff, he clearly isn't specialized in rats and didn't inform us of the seriousness of the condition or prescribe a strong enough medication (he only prescribed Baytril). Being new rat owners at the time we didn't know any better and believed that our rat would improve.We are much more experienced with rats now and know that a better vet would have warned us our boy's condition was critical and life-threatening, and prescribed a stronger medication or referred us to an animal ER. Because our rat wasn't given proper care, he passed away that night, which was really devastating for me. I won't be returning to Baldy View. Read Less

Staff is wonderful. I like and feel comfortable that the staff also has a tortoise, so they too know how to nurture and take care of my tortoise.  It was our first time here. I love this vet! I have gone to many and by far most friendly staff and doctors.  My husky mix just had puppies and I have no idea how many times I've called but they helped so much and made it less stressful. They truly care about your pet. And they have always helped with telling me other options then just blowing money on things I may not need for my pet. I drive about a hour just to go to them. Please be careful when bringing your pets here. We have been coming here for years and I'm really sorry to have to change my review of this place but it's true. The girls are nice but the office is very unorganized and you really need to educate yourself in any matter pertaining to your pet. Your pet could become permanently injured like our dog was due to inadequacy.. I ended up having to take our dog to the ER after being treated here and she will never be the same. Read Less

I had a strange experience there. At first I thought Dr Levoy was great, but then there was a few incidents that made me reconsider. I do think that in his younger days Dr Levoy must have been a good vet, but he seems uncertain about things these days. I left there because I was no longer comfortable with the care, but also the 1 1/2 hour wait was too much. I once waited 2 hours just so my dogs could get their bordatella and rabies vaccinations. He used to have a good office manager, but then she quit and the staff was rude after that. They seem as if they are not happy working there. Read Less

Wonderful service at this vet clinic. Dr. Ford is amazing and Dr. Levoy (who we've talked to on the phone) seems great as well. The service was fast, friendly, and it was obvious that Dr. Ford really cares a lot. We have ha several amazing visits with complicated symptoms and Dr. Ford has listened attentively each time. These people saved my dog's life! My tiny pom got bitten by a bee or insect and he started fainting in episodes. I would pull him up and he would faint back! It was the scariest thing that ever happened to me. I called Baldy View with almost no hope that they would take him in given that it was almost closing time. When they suggested I take him to the nearest emergency hospital I told them that it will take awhile and by that time my dog would have already been dead! Dr. Babcock was great and he allowed me to take him in after closing. He was very professional and immediately knew what was going on. My baby came back to life in no time. We started taking our Buffy to Baldy View about 7 years ago simply because she needed her shots updated and we were new to the area and I saw it in passing. She was generally a healthy dog. A few years later, Buffy started having seizures. As an old dog, Dr Levoy gave us the full picure. My husband opted to medicate her. Other issues arose, she was treated, and the seizures stopped. Earlier this week, 3 years later, the seizures started again. After a trip to the 24hr ER in Diamond Bar, we returned to Baldy View in the morning. The staff was wonderful. They are compassionate and gentle and they tolerated my numerous calls and questions throughout the day. Dr Levoy gave us the full picture again and last night, we decided on the difficult and devastating decision to let Buffy rest. She lived a beautiful 16 years and God blessed us with a loving, funny, spoiled, smart, silly, naughty, sweet angel who will forever live in our memories. Read Less

This is a Great Veterinarian - Dr. Levoy (and his other staff Vet. Dr. Bobeck). Dr. Levoy and his office staff are wonderful and caring personnel for all animals. We have been with Dr. Levoy at this office for over 17 years. You will not find a better Vet anywhere. Over the years we have had a number of dogs. I made an appointment to take my puppy to get her shots done on Monday at 6:40 pm. I arrived on time but the vet didnt see me until 9pm! I waited over 2 hours! The vet was very nice and VERY conversational. He knows his stuff. But don't come here if you expect to be in and out of there within an hour, unless you make your appointment very early in the morning. Read Less

When we first went to Baldy View, my beloved puppy had a really bad tummy and was lethargic and feverish for a couple days.  Dr. Levoy got on the ground and explained that he was lowering his body, so he would be less threatening to our dog.  Then and there, I knew I loved this guy!He always treated our pets like family, petting them, talking to them, explaining what he was going to do to them.  In everything he did, it was so obvious how much he loved animals.  You sensed it, your pets sensed it.  We drove an hour to go to Baldy View, and waited sometimes quite a long time (which was a bummer, but the Dr. never rushed with anybody's pets).  He took fabulous care of my beloved pups for 6 years (from 9-15 years old), and the only reason we do not take our pets there now is because the memories are still a bit too painful, even now.However, if any of my furbabies were very ill, I would not hesitate to make the 2 hour round trip to have them seen by Dr. Levoy! I'm a college student with a young pet bearded dragon. Recently, he was having some issues going to the bathroom, and it got to the point where I was worried that he was impacted and needed veterinary care. After seeing the four superb reviews for this nearby vet, I made an appointment and went over. Dr. Levoy was extremely friendly, and examined my pet with an acute yet caring demeanor. He concluded that it was some combination of calcium deficiency and possible septicemia that was causing the little guy to have so much trouble. I ended up chatting with the Doc for something in excessive of an hour and a half about general care for the animal and he bestowed on me all kinds of knowledge that Petsmart and Petco had completely failed to clue me in on. This appointment was on Wednesday, and it is now Saturday, and my bearded dragon has just about completely recovered. Dr. Levoy knows his stuff, and I will recommend him to anyone in the area.
