I haven't actually been to the actual location so I can't give it a full review but I did just call today and honestly the woman on the phone was sooo sweet and helpful! My dog ate some grapes (which are toxic) so I was asking her questions in regards to that and she genuinely seemed interested in helping me out, she me kept asking me questions and about how my dog was acting which was really nice  because I have called other clinics and hospitals and they give you a runaround and don't really give you any information because they want you to come in but she didn't seem to try to sell me anything at all she did give me an option to come in if I wanted to but the fact that she talked to me I felt like I was talking to a doctor she was so sweet and that's really rare to find. When I call other places they give me the "well it's your problem kind of attitude" it's not hard at all to just be nice. I had a very bad experience with this place mainly for the ridiculous overpriced prescription. Long story short, my cat's test results took up to 1wk when they promised 3days to confirm ringworms. We didn't wanna give incorrect treatment until it's confirmed so the extra days caused a delay in treating my cat. Since it's a highly contagious fungus infection, my cat got several more lesions die to the delay. We called the office everyday N was given the same response each time - "We should have it tmr". This is very unprofessional and irresponsible.  Don't make false promises to your patients. We also ended up getting a ringwormg prescription from them. For 14ml, they charged almost $100 W/ tax. This would last for about two weeks only. And the vet did not advise us with the serving variation for my bigger cat so we ended up giving too little which wasn't effective enough. My guts told me to look for another vet and thx goodness I did! Had amazing experience with the new vet and right off the bat, he told us that serving is weight basis so def needs more for the bigger cat.  We ended up ordering the same exact prescription for 100ml and they r only charging $90+. That's almost 7x more the quantity for about the same price. That is a steep mark-up with their pricing. I understand every office has their own pricing policy but this is beyond the acceptable range. It's very upsetting! Don't feel like they care about my cats but more for the money. Read Less

I took my dog there for his shot's. Most of the staff was very friendly and helpful. Except Tomica ( sp?) She was VERY rude. I've also had problems with there prices. I was quoted prices. Soon as I get to the office I am told a different price. More expensive. Read Less

Took in a stray cat and brought it in to check for ID chip.  Cat was a lost local.   They did all the legwork, tracking down the owner, handling the reunion and they did it all without charge.   The kids who owned the lost cat had been sad for three weeks.  It was heartwarming to find them on our doorstep so happy and thankful.  They are nearby neighbors.   We didn't know their inside cat had gone missing.  It was wonderful to help them reunite with their loved cat and it was wonderful to have the excellent help freely given by Tico Meyers, and the Pet Depot La Verne Veterinary Group. I just took my corgi/terrier, Brooklyn to be neutered yesterday. The staff were friendly and wonderful. They answered all my questions and they made me feel safe leaving my fur baby with them. Dr Kim is amazing. I would recommend this place to all pet owners. Read Less

We absolutely LOVE Katie's and we only bring our dogs to The Pet Depot Vet Clinic. Chris the receptionist is amazing. The staff and vets are all thorough, no forceful. The visit is $49 which I think is reasonable. Great place!! Read Less

Visited the vet today with my dog Charlie. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. At the vet counter we were greeted by Chris who helped us right away, and made us feel comfortable while we waited for our appointment. Considering how busy they were, we were impressed how quickly we got into the exam room. The doctor was great with Charlie and explained everything thoroughly so we could make an informed decision about his treatment. So disappointed as a vet tech. My aunt needed to euthanize her cat, she couldn't bring him herself so I said I would. She called and spoke to Chris. Said we were on our way. He said yes, didn't tell anybody so I get here and they say I need to come back because saying I'm on my way and having an appointment are 2 different things, that's chris' fault not mine. Then I hear them in the back saying since I'm a walk in I'm last seriously I'm here to euthanize! I've never seen a hospital put a euthanasia last even if it's a walk in. How inconsiderate and rude! Soo I've always seen their add in the "Magazine of values" that comes with a bunch of couples from local stores and restaurants. Anyways we saw their add about $10 self doggie wash! So amazing since a typical dog was by a groomer is $20-$30! They supply you with brushes, combs, bath stuff, shampoos for body and face, the collar, and dryers, and towels! It's a great deal! They allow 2 dogs per customer. The groomers in their are also very helpful and let you use flea shampoo if needed. The rest of the place has dogs houses, clothes, food, and other animals. They have cats, bunnies, birds, etc. they also have Merriks dog food which can be hard to find. Will def be returning to this place. Read Less

I Went to get my 11 week old bulldog puppy vaccinated here today based on the Yelp reviews and I'm glad I did. The regular vet was not in so we saw Dr Mary Howe,I was advised of this at the time I scheduled my appointment so I was fine with that. The staff was friendly at the time of check in and made us feel welcome. Once we arrived to the exam room we met with Dr Howe. She was very friendly and was genuinely interested in my dogs wellbeing. She took her time in examining my dog and answered all of my questions. After Rocky's exam was finished I was given an itemized bill prior to them starting treatment. It was a little expensive for all the suggested treatments so I picked some of the things that I felt were important at this time. When the techs entered the room to give my dog his shots and Medications they made rocky feel comfortable,they made the process as quick and easy. Im glad we I chose Pet Depot for Rocky. Seriously incompetent sales people. Went here looking for a certain food and asked the sales men if they carried it in store he didn't know & was not willing to help me look for it. He was pushy about me "trying out" the food he was suggesting. I let him know that my dog had skin allergies which makes him sensitve/un-able to have gluten/wheat products in my his diet. Sales men assured me that the food he suggested was fine. Well I took the bag he offer but went looking through the store to see if I could find the dog food I always buy and yup they had it there, I compared the 2 foods & found that the food the salesmen suggested contained wheat, which would have sent my dog into an allergy attack. Best veterinary clinic I've been to. Have already told a handful of friends that they should take their pets here, and I'm not a big Yelp person, but this vet clinic is so great that I thought I'd share with a circle wider than my friends because I appreciate their expertise, kindness and honesty so much.Before coming here, I had visited numerous vets who were somewhat cold, greedy and would take advantage of the vulnerability and fear one has when a pet is sick and try to up-charge as much as possible. Dr. Judy is the polar opposite of this. She is knowledgeable, kind, warm, cares about animals, a great listener, and ultimately very trustworthy. The staff is warm and friendly too. I have so much love for this Veterinary group!My dog Otis is a 6 yr old Shih Tzu and he has a skin condition that is very common in small dogs. Dr. Fernandez found the perfect cocktail of medication to put Otis on that would not make him drowsy and still allow him to live a full and healthy life. All of the staff at Katie's Pet Depot Veterinary group is so pleasant! Their #1 goal is the health of my pet, and not how much money I spend. I have never once been pushed to purchase medications or tests that are unnecessary. I am able to call and get refills of medication. I owe so many thanks to Dr. Fernandez and her amazing team! They have helped Otis, and they have helped me to be stress free about his health!I would recommend this vet to anyone!
