We have been taking our weimaraners, Graci and Georgie to Dr. Gauthier for years. He and his office staff have always been extremely helpful and kind. Dr. Gauthier is very knowledgeable and a true animal lover. Georgie has always had allergies coupled with ear infections and skin conditions. After seeing Dr. Gauthier, Georgie is healthy and so happy. He also had to have some bumps removed and we were completely confident knowing he was in good hands. Best Vet EVER!!! I totally forgot that I needed to call Dr. to see if he would let me pick up the eye drops that my Wheezer seems to need once in a while. Remembered at 4:30pm and immediately panicked and called vets office. To my surprise Dr. Gauthier answered the phone himself. I asked what time they closed and he told me they were just closing now and that he had been there all day without any office help. I said "shoot" he asked who he was speaking with and what did I need. He looked us up in the computer and said "you need the drops for Wheezer"? I said "yes", I also figured he would probably want to see Wee Wee because it has been  8 months since we've been in and everybody knows that vets and Dr.s want to collect that office visit fee. We have finally found our vet! This is the first vet that not only really loves the animals but also shows it. My Wheezer furbee was rubbing his body all over Dr Gauthier while being throughly being checked over and being talked to by the Dr.. We thought our boy had a cold as he was sneezing like crazy and his eyes were watering a lot. Dr. assured us that is was not a cold and gave us drops for his eyes and nose. Worked like a charm in about 3 days but then the other 2 fur bees at home were sneezing  but no watery eyes. Called office to bring in knowing like All other vets they want the office visit fee. Not the case here. Stacey asked how Wheezer was doing and when we said he's perfect. She then said well why don't you just come in and we will give you a refill since we know that's the problem and how to solve. First visit was 50% off and they accept our pet insurance for 25% off. We have 4 rescue babies and will never go back to the cold, expensive vet we used to go to for 10 years where we have spent 1000's of dollars on our now running around at Rainbow Bridge 15 year old cats who had bladder stone surgery and a multitude of various illnesses over the 15 years and was never given a break on anything. The last straw was the $17 x 2 charge for the small plastic rings you need for after surgerys. We were treating the new rescues for ringworm that they brought home after being saved from the Carson high kill shelter. We got them Holloween night one year ago and they also had terrible colds so they were the next morning in our vets office for clavamox and to be checked over since they were our new rescue babies and we wanted them to be as healthy of course. Well they missed the ring of missing hair right on Wheezers head thus having to treat a few weeks later. Oh and I got it too! That was fun!! I called and complained about the ridiculous cost for the cones and told them to tell Dr. Davis that we would be picking up all of our records. They called us 2 weeks later and told us that records were ready to be picked up! WOW is all ican say! Read Less

I have nothing but great things to say about the care my pets have received from Dr. Gauthier. He has been always available for my dogs and cats needs through the years. He has tremendous medical knowledge and skills and seems to have a special connection to the animals. The staff is always sweet, compassionate and attentive. I recently moved to Laguna Beach with my dog and cat. I needed to find a veterinarian to take my dog to because she was not feeling well and had started vomiting. My neighbor recommended Dr. Gauthier at Arch Beach Veterinary Clinic. When I called, they asked if I could come right in which I did. The staff was very sweet and concerned about my dog and Dr. Gauthier saw me as soon as he was finished with the appointment he was working on. He spent at least 45 minutes talking to me about my dogs history and did a very thorough examination. He recommended that we do some blood tests which I agreed to and gave my dog some fluids under the skin and a shot to stop the vomiting. He said he would call me as soon as he had the results of the blood tests. He called me the same day at about 6:30 pm to tell me that my dog had a mild case of pancreatitis and waited for me to come back to the hospital so I could pick up some medication and prescription food. My dog is doing great now. I was so thankful that they were able to see me so soon and spend so much time with me and quickly diagnose and treat the problem. I am lucky to have found Dr. Gauthier and know he will be our veterinarian for a long time. Read Less
