We (us and our puppy Atlas) LOVE Pacific Park Animal Hospital!Atlas has been seeing them since we brought him home on 2/9/17. The breeder said he was 9 weeks but the vets all agreed that he was probably closer to 6 weeks at the time. He was SO SMALL for a Belgian Malinois. Literally under 4 lbs.They put him on a much better diet and some medications that eliminated the Coccidia that he was infected with. About a week ago Atlas ate something questionable and had pretty bad diarrhea..so we went back in and just as before the staff and doctors treated him very well. (he ended up passing a whole leaf and twig while at the vet, hahah) He has since gained a healthy amount of weight & seems to be a very happy pup :)  Thank you so much Dr.Bennett, Dr.Steenis, Hayley, Michelle, Kaitlyn, Jess, Amanda, and Sarah for treating our puppy as if he was your very own. I have been going to this clinic for over 20 years and I have seen many vets come and go. Recently I called them in the afternoon one hour before they closed and informed them that my dog was experiencing labored breathing and they could not accept her because she would require monitoring beyond their operating hours. So they referred me to a place called VMSG that is a 24 hour clinic. She is 13 years old so I knew she would have some problems. I could not afford the over one thousand dollar bill so I took her home. Her breathing was still labored I went to Pacific Park Animal Hospital to buy some meds for her bronchitis(one of the things that was wrong with her). They tried to get me to get her prescription from VMSG but I didn't want to drive all that way. I showed them the diagnosis paperwork I received from VMSG but they wouldn't allow me to buy meds for her unless I brought her in for an exam. I indicated that she had the exam from the place that they referred me to but they wanted to see her anyways. I was not about to pay for another exam when she just had one!! They would not budge and I was very disappointed in their non-action. They are just a bunch of money grubbing people that don't care about your pet but only about the money! I have been coming to this veterinary hospital for 4 years now. This review is based on my current experience which to me was the most critical. This past year my chihuahua was diagnosed by Dr. Mandolin with heart disease. After being encouraged to do many tests including an echocardiogram by Dr. Brewer. Many medications were prescribed and in the last few weeks I have had to call due to complications and was always told to make an apt with Dr. Mandolin. This past week after visiting the Dr. Mandolin, my dog took a turn for the worst and I had to rush her to urgent care and was told there that she would not make it and I had to put her to sleep. I must mention that as I was visiting the vet I was getting conflicting information from Dr. Bennett and Dr. Mandolin, it seemed in my opinion there was some sort of issue between them which felt very unprofessional.The morning after my dogs passing I called to leave Dr. Mandolin a message of what happened and never got a call back!!! This to me was an extreme display of disrespect and unprofessional . I will not be returning here ever again!! I also want to add a side note, my husband and I were going to be traveling and I needed extra care for my dog due to these problems. Dr. Mandolin had suggested Haley who works at the office as a vet tech. That she would stay in our home. I tried contacting her after two days of not hearing from her I called the office and she got on the phone. Then I left a message on her personal cell phone as to a change of plans for me and I have yet to hear from her.( I would not recommend her at all!!! I'm sorry for the detailed post but I feel that this may help with your choice in vets there are many others to choose from and I would use extreme caution when considering this one. Pacific Park Animal Hospital is my new go to veterinarian in South Orange County. Not only did they do a great job in my pets time of need, but they helped save her life. After being turned away by my veterinarian of 5.5 years during my pets emergency, Pacific Park came to the rescue and saw my dog, Bella, within 2 minutes of me walking through the door. The veterinarians and staff @ Pacific Park Animal Hospital are wonderful! One of our Balinese kitties had ingested a foreign object and had a blockage. The care and compassion they provided to us and our kitty were exceptional. And, with their care and assistance, our kitty was quickly on the road to recovery. They take the time to explain everything that they are doing, or are going to do. They follow-up afterwards to ensure all is going well. They willingly process any available pet insurance claims. Pacific Park Animal Hospital is fantastic! My little Boxer Zoey loves going in for her check-ups. They have made the process of becoming a new pet parent quite easy with the Puppy Care Plan which includes all of the recommended vaccinations, tests and check-ups during a dog's first year.
