We have been taking our pets to Laguna Hills Animal Hospital for years. On every visit, the staff and doctors have been kind, caring, and thorough as they treat our three little dogs. I have a senior citizen Maltese rescue, who is the light of my life. Whenever Fitzy has fallen sick, the office has quickly Fitzy in for a visit to the doctor. I highly Dr. Sultzer and Dr. Jackson have both treated my dogs in the past and do currently. Additionally, they are great at treating whatever issues need to be medically treated, without tacking on unneeded services. On the other hand, they do provide treatment alternatives based on any budget which is helpful so one know's their options. Our little dog became ill quite suddenly and needed to be seen right away; however, it was a Sunday and a holiday, so our regular vet was closed. Thank goodness we found Laguna Hills Animal Hospital through a Yelp search. They were able to get us in immediately. They handled our dog with such care and kindness. We are very grateful for how well they treated him and us and how courteous everyone was. Dr. Jackson was very friendly and informative and reassured us that everything would be OK. She took great care of our little guy and was able to diagnose and treat him quickly. The bill was reasonable and our little guy felt better within just a few hours. My Kitty and I arrived a little early for the appointment, and I actually took a little risk, and opened my Kitty's box, and let him peak outside his box. He saw a nice bird aviary with many finches. From the very first time we stepped in the door (for an emergency, no less) every single staff member has gone above and beyond to help us and our sweet weenie dogs. From check-ups to grooming to boarding to teeth cleaning and everything in between, the staff at Laguna Hills Animal Hospital is exceptional. Even on the worst days--like when you have to say goodbye to your best friend--they are there to support you and give your pet the best care possible. She not only cares deeply about the pets she takes care of, but she also cares about their owners. And you can feel it. Dr. Jackson was very caring and kind. She went out of her way to make sure my cat was comfortable. Very thankful for Carla and her specific knowledge of cats' eye illnesses/medicines. Facility was clean and comfortable. The bill was reasonable. I just wanted to thank Dr. Jackson for her professionalism, compassion and knowledge in treating our dog, Buddy. She quickly suspected an aggressive cancer and referred us to an oncologist for treatment. Unfortunately, the cancer spread rapidly and we lost Buddy in a month. During that time, Dr. Jackson kept in touch to follow Buddy's progress and offer her encouragement. She genuinely cares about her patients and their owners. When she learned of Buddy's passing, she called and offered her condolences and support. I then received a very heart felt card and note followed by a flower arrangement in memory of Buddy. We recently took our 86-year old grandmothers' 15-year old cat for a routine check up at this facility. Unfortunately, this visit turned into a $1600 surgery for a mass removal on the right side of the cat's breast area. The outcome of the surgery was that the cat has cancer. Well that was no surprise but what did surprise me from the minute I sat down with Dr. Cruz was her continual conversation about how "bad" the cat was behaving before and after the surgery. I have been around animals my entire life and never have experienced a professional veterinarian so concerned about the "bad" cat that she couldn't handle. The truth is that this cat is one of the most docile cats I've ever met. If you care about your animal - do not see Dr. Cruz at this hospital. I know animals have a sixth sense and can pick up on "bad" energy in humans. This was definitely the case here. I left there feeling that this was an unnecessary surgery performed by a insensitive vet. Read Less

Best animal hospital in the area! We have been coming here for 5 years. The doctor and staff has treated our two dogs from surgery, teeth cleaning, vaccination, kennel coughs, upset stomach, and routine checks. The doctors are all super nice. Suzette has stayed several times. I was very disappointed in the staff during this stay. I asked for a second story kennel, she was placed on the ground. Each time she stays I bring her potty, asking it be placed with her as she does not go for walks to do personal business. The girl argued with me and obviously did not place her potty with her. Suzette was sick when she came home. She must have done poop at least 6 times after being brought home then turning into diarrhea all over the bathroom most of the night. Your vet tested her and there was no bacteria, etc. Your help is totally impolite and do not follow the client's instructions even arguing with the client resulting in the dog suffering for several days. Dogs do not deserve this treatment. I will come back if one of the vets makes sure Suzette has the proper treatment. MaureenRead Less

Dr. Acton is the owner and "My Vet". In his absence I have had the pleasure of Dr. Cruz and Dr. Sultzer to help me and my animals in time of need. Laguna Hills Animal Hospital is thee best I have ever taken my pets, they are very good to the point do not charge out outrageous fees understanding loving Doctors and Vet Tech support I highly recommend to anyone who is in need of a loving Vet Family because that is what they become like family to you pet that is how much they love what they do...I am have been taking my dog Oso to them since he was given to me at 3mos. old now almost 7 and in good health always! They are good to remind me when things are due such as shots etc... very important! They have doggy day camp very reasonable and so good they run a test to make sure all pets are safe to get along playing before just letting them go... I love that Oso past his test and loves his bath time with Margaret and the team there! I love LHAH and all of the doctors and staff. Everyone is friendly, professional, and enthusiastic about treating animals. This is the only place I ever want to take my dog and the only place I will board him. We have experienced surgeries, boarding, well-checks, having to let our pet go, and everything in between over the years and it has always been the perfect experience. I have had two cats with serious illnesses which I have taken to the clinic. Both were successfully treated and have recovered. The staff is kind and supportive. The vets are excellent, both knowledgeable and patient in explaining information about the condition and answering questions.Their office system works well, providing a warm atmosphere, good communication and convenience. I have used this vet since 1997 and I always recommend them when asked. They have several doctors on staff so getting an appointment is very easy. I've had a chance to use most all of the doctors and they all have been wonderful to deal with. The rest of the staff is great as well. They are super helpful! This will be short and sweet: misdiagnosed my dog and caused him to be in pain for over a week (subscribed ""anti-nausea"" pills when his throat was the issue). Over $2000 later at an urgent care hospital (who actually found the issue), thankfully I have a healthy dog back no thanks to them. Read Less
