This review is somewhat painful to write, as I've taken my pet cat to this place for almost 2 years and have been remiss in not writing a *good* review when they were a worthwhile place to take your pet.Note to Yelpers who are thinking about taking their pet here: notice that by and large there are positive reviews up until about December 2014. I don't think that is a coincidence. My cat injured himself late in 2014 and I took him to what had previously been a reliable place to take him for care. I noticed that I did not recognize some of the staff, so perhaps ownership or hiring changes have taken place. Here are the three things that stand out about my experience:1) After the initial diagnosis - a blown-out set of knee ligaments which would require surgery - they had to wait until the next day for the X-rays and to consult with the surgeon to see if he agreed that surgery to correct this would be the right course of action. Day 1 goes by with no verdict: "The surgeon's very busy, we'll try to get him in the next day or so." I try to pin this down with some urgency, as my pet is in pain. "I can't really say if he (the surgeon) will be available, he's very busy." Day 2, I check in with them in the morning. Still no verdict. Then, late in the afternoon, I get the call that a) the surgeon agrees that surgery is the best option, and b) can I bring the cat in tomorrow at 8:30am, as he only does operations every Thursday. (Thus, if I can't make it in, the cat waits another whole week.) I re-arrange my schedule at the last minute and bring the cat in. The surgery was done properly and on time, which is why this place gets two stars.2) A few days before I'm supposed to bring the cat in to remove his wound's staples, I call in the morning to ask whether or not he could be sedated when they do the removal. (This is because he's really being angry about being poked at when he's hurting.) The tech doesn't know but promises to ask someone and get back to me within the hour. The entire day passes. The NEXT day, I get a call: "Come on down and pick up the sedative we have prescribed for your cat." I explained that I didn't WANT a sedative, I only asked if he COULD be sedated, when I brought him in! After making sure that they would not charge me for this screw-up, I double-check that my appointment for getting the staples removed is still in place for 8:30 on the right date. It is.3) I show up at 8:30am, with cat. There is some barking going on in the back but there is no one else in the waiting area. They take my cat and say 'we'll call you back in 1 hour, just leave him here'. For a procedure that should take 5 minutes, this was odd, but I trusted them.11:30 am. I get a call from the office saying 'He hasn't had his staples out yet, but he's here and we will be getting to him soon, it's busy today.'. For a procedure which should take 5 minutes.1:30pm. I decide to call them. Nope, still nothing has been done. I explain *very* firmly that a) my cat's been caged up with them for 5 hours for a procedure that should take 5 minutes, b) I made my appointment 2 weeks ago and showed up on time, so my cat should have been done and out the door, and c) that I would be calling them again in 1 hour, expecting that they will do their job and take care of my pet.Guess what? In 5 minutes I get a call back: "Oh, your cat's ready for pickup."***I understand that things get busy. I understand that sometimes animals aren't easy to deal with. Being a vet tech isn't an easy job.Frankly, I don't care about these things. They are not excuses. These are not problems that cannot be foreseen. They are integral to running a business where you take care of sick or hurt animals. I'm sure that the people at this clinic are fine at the actual process of giving shots to cats/dogs/what-have-you, but they are truly, utterly, and hopelessly incompetent at being a service provider. Read the 3 experiences I had above again: ask yourself, do you want to deal with this when your little furry companion is in pain or his/her life is on the line? There are other places you can take your animal. I highly advise anyone to do so. Read Less
