We've taken several of our cats here and every time we are extremely satisfied. This office is the epitome of a good veterinary clinic from head to toe (or paw). To start, the front office staff are always delightful. They are friendly, helpful & very welcoming. On two different occasions one of the staff called out to the fully packed waiting room, "Does anybody want any coffee?? Tea??" as she was making a new pot of coffee — and upon finishing, personally asked everyone who spoke up how they like it & then proceeded to add cream and sugar as was desired. It was like we were their guests in their home! 😊 & although I am not much of a coffee drinker, I was immensely pleased at their humble hospitality between all that come in there. That being said, it doesn't hurt that their services are professional, thorough & fairly priced!! Not only "fairly", but it's honestly the cheapest I've seen throughout Temecula all the way to a Lake Elsinore. (To be seen is only about $50) Other pluses: They have their own pharmacy so you don't need to go elsewhere for most of the new medicines getting prescribed They follow up with you a day or two after the visit to make sure everything is going okay and your animal is feeling better They remember your pet's name(s) if you go there regularly Apparently they have a new online option (however I have not used so can't give insight on how well it works) They have a nice waiting room with a big TV so the guests that are waiting aren't forced to stare at the wall Very clean office & medical rooms (cleaning up hair and everything else animals might leave on floors and counters constantly) Waiting time never too extended Cons: If I have to choose one thing, it would be awesome to have wifi in the waiting room 😌 THANKS GUYS! 🤗🤗 & Daisy, Lily, Kitty & Squeaker also thank you!! 😸😸 Read Less

My friend took her puppy here who had ringworm, but was going in for her baby puppy shots. We told them she was treating the ring worm herself at home. They refused to look at it or talk about it unless we paid for the ringworm service. It seems to me that if they loved animals, they wouldn't mind commenting on whether or not it was healing properly. They are just in it for the money and didn't care about the puppy. I realize it's a business, but we were already paying for another service, we weren't asking them to do anything just make sure it was healing up properly, they refused unless they got paid for it. My India girl is really picky about who she likes n doesn't like and I was very nervous about even taking her to a vet. But Dr Tran was very gentle with her n talked to India softly. Great Vet & Staff. I have been taking my dogs here for years since moving to Inland Empire. Can't complain. They are not the cheapest, they are fair and have always seemed sincere. If I had to put my pet down, I don't think that I would do this here though since they do not have the home like surroundings as Animal Friends and California Veterinary Specialist. Read Less

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Cannot say enough about the vets and staff at Mountain View. Went in on a Saturday just thinking my puppy was sick, turned out she had a life threatening infection. They not only saved my baby's life but comforted myself and my dog through the whole experience. Dr. Tran is outstanding and very caring. All the assistants and front desk staff are just wonderful, polite, friendly, and caring. They knew my dog and got very attached to her helping her fight for her life. My family was always gone to Mountain View Animal Hospital probably because it is the only one that's been around forever. But my last experience was very disappointing my dog has been bitten by a rattlesnake I needed an emergency services immediately and it was around 4:30 in the afternoon so instead they told us they could take our dog and treat him what would cost $100 to initially be seen. One Spain the feed before the actual quote for services they came to us and told us that they were closing within a half an hour and that would be better off taking our dog to an animal hospital Two Towns over needless to say we didn't feel that the hundred dollars is worth the dog going behind the counter and not receiving any Services whatsoever Read Less

I love everybody at Mountain View. They become attached to your pets. They remember their names and things that have happened to them. Recently we had to have our 11 year old lab put down and the doctor and the tech stayed in the room with us because they were attached to our girl too. This was quite a lovely experience. My stepfather went here for years, years ago and always raved about it. Now we have our New family dog, and after weeks of searching and asking friends for referrals and checking out veterinarians I saw this listing online and remembered how my stepdad loved this Vet and back then groomers. So I called and the gal on the phone was very nice and helpful made us a quick appointment got in there the next day and witnessed for myself what I have been told. The staff were very nice, very pleasant, and the doctor actually did an exam on my dog instead of pretending I will refer anyone I possibly can to this veterinarian hospital. Our family stud dachshund had an abscess tooth. After going to many other animal hospitals/Vets office where I had to sell my kidneys to pay for the service needed. We found the folks at Mountainview. They where able to do the same service for a much more reasonable price. Plus the staff & Dr's where very nice and caring. I see a lot of 1 Stars. After going through and reading some of them they seem very pety and don't reflect the over all experience that I continue to see as I bring my dogs here now for check-ups and vaccinations. In June, we noticed our Blue Heeler Angel just not acting like her usual self and I took her in Mountain View to get checked. Well... they came back with her results came back grim. With all her issues we decided we needed to let her cross the rainbow bridge. The way Dr Tran and the rest of the techs handled the situation was empathetic and understanding.  They took us to a separate room and let us (my husband, stepdaughter, and son) have our time with sweet Angel. They have no doctor on Sunday...so they should stare that on their site or yelp.  We waited today for what hours as our dog sat in pain...and we had an appointment.  Take notes...if you are wanting to see a Dr. On Sunday go somewhere else...and be prepared to wait for an hour or two beyond your appointment time. I am so glad that I found a new vet clinic for my two cats. After moving to the area eight months ago I have been looking for a vet that had great reviews and a stable staff of doctors and technicians. At my previous vet my cats saw a different doctor each time I took them in and it was difficult to create a relationship with my cats. At Mountain View Small Animal Hospital Dr. Tran is patient, kind and compassionate with my two cats and they love her! The ladies up front as well as the supporting technicians are helpful and compassionate even in the midst of a waiting room full of people due to an emergency that had come in. They say they're open on Sunday but of course they don't have a veterinarian position on hand to do anything so basically on Sundays the only thing they can do is answer the phone the woman on the phone was nice but ultimately this Clinic is not open on Sundays they lie to you. We took our great dane puppy to this place and they suggested $500 in testing before they even begun anything to help the pup. The doctor sent in this very young assistant to break the news about the cost of these tests with no explaination. We couldn't get out of there soon enough. We took the pup to Yorba Animal Hospital and the vet suggested we give her some antibiotics. We gave her the suggested antibiotics and the puppy is in perfect health ($100) this vet makes his money on testing. Why would he suggest an x-ray and a sonogram. For well over $300. So disappointed that we have this kind of money hungry vet in our community that prays on people that only wants the best for their pets. Then the next day they called and said they didn't have the time to treat my beloved pup and I should go to another hospital. Believe me they were more than willing to do the testing for the $500. I have tried most all the vets in this town and surrounding cities and I was apauled at the way this whole thing went down. Please if you care about your pets and your money stay far away. Read Less

Everyone here is just LOVELY!. the Dr's and staff are amazing! They took very good care of our fur baby. I must have called 2x a day (if not more, sorry ladies!) and they were not bothered, they addressed all of my questions& more. Dr. Tran is absolutely amazing! We stumbled upon this amazing animal hospital when we first moved to the area. Before going to this one we had visited a couple others, but the other ones were not as caring and loving as this place! Every time we visit they hold our babies and kiss them just like we do . It's so hard to find a vet that actually cares and loves your dogs. Last week our baby girl had a accident and we instantly rushed over there. They all stopped what they were doing and rushed to help her. Unfortunately the there was no bringing her back. Every person there that day came and gave us hugs and let us spend time with her for as long as we needed. That meant the world to my wife and I. Thank you guys so much for all the love and support!! Absolutely 100% the best vet that I have ever been to. We have 5 dogs and a cat we've had a litter of puppies and all of them have been taking great care of from this vet. We are there almost every Thursday we know almost every employee by now and doctor hampel is easily the greatest veterinarian doctor I've met when he explains things to you he looks at you explains symptom sicknesses or information about a condition and after explaining to you you really understand what hes talking about. he will bring out diagrams information or anything to help you understand what is going on he is very caring he really believes in what he does and him in the whole staff really make you feel welcome.Read Less

Dr. Hemple, Kimi, Ashley, Asia and the entire staff at Moutainview deliver the highest standardOf quality healthcare.  Each and every caring, compassionate team member, comes together to make sure your beloved family member, your pet, is treated as just that.  They are thorough, knowledgeable, patient and kind.  Dr. Hemple has expertly performed at least 4 surgeries on my 11 1/2 year old Pug Diesel, always very careful to take the necessary precautions in minimizing risk when putting this breed of dog under general anesthesia.  My boy is a cancer survivor, has recovered from a serious back injury and has had numerous growths removed.  He along with his sister, PJ have been patients at Mountainview since their birth on 2/14/2005.  I am very thankful to the GREAT DR. We met the staff at Mountainview Small Animal Hospital on a pretty tough day. We were woken up by our beloved Rhodesian Ridgeback crying in pain. We had already started to see her health decline over the years so we knew that the possibility of putting her to sleep was coming. I brought her in knowing what was coming and not wanting our baby to suffer anymore. The staff at Mountainview were amazing, caring, and compassionate to not just me but all 4 of my children as well. Mountain view is the only clinic i trust! I have been with them for about 2 years now, & i have had nothing but the best care for my cat Hades. We love the ENTIRE staff! Dr. Hempel is one of a kind! He is always calm, straight forward, & very informative. He is very compassionate about his work & always has a big smile on. We were sad to see Dr. Jessup retire as he was a great veterinarian & will truly be missed! They have welcomed a new vet, Dr. Tran, and she is fantastic. Great personality! She is very laid back & super sweet. She takes her time no matter how busy they are. A great addition to this wonderful staff. Everyone who works here is very polite. Kari & Karen, two of the vet techs who work the back are so sweet! They are very skilled, educated and will explain everything they can in full detail. All of the other girls, including reception are the same way. Your always greated with a smile! They will take as much time as necessary, out of their busy day, to make sure you are given everything you need & that your pet is given the best care & compassion. They always answer all of your questions with the best of their knowledge & have no problem asking the dr on staff for an answer if they dont know it or arnt completely sure. They go the extra mile to make sure its done right, every time. I see reviews on here about this facility being a little expensive, and i must say i dont agree. They have very reasonable prices, especially for the quailty of care. They have never ripped me off & i have never walked out of there feeling like i over paid. I just recently had hades fixed for a very reasonable fee & so much was included in the package. Dr. Hemple did her pre op exam to make sure she was healthy enough to be put under, including running a full panel of blood work. This also included her having to be sedated for the pre op. They preformed her surgery, trimmed her claws,  microchiped her while she was under & administered her pain medication & antibiotics. Updated me when she woke up that everything went well. Kept her overnight for observation(which is what they do as a precaution and continual post op care). Dr. Tran examined again for a final post op before being sent home. She got her cone e collar & sent home with her pain medication. She gets her follow up exam in two weeks & her sutures removed. All of this for one reasonable rate! No hidden charges or suprise add ons. My cat was also in heat when she got fixed and it was only $10 extra. For the amount of extra work & care that they did for a common procedure, i was happy to pay for it! My cat was well taken care of & made sure she was the kept the most comfortable she could possibility be, from check in to pain control followed at home. They even call the next day to check up on her. They did this the year before just with her vaccinations. Being in the medical field for almost 10 years, i know what good care consists of. This clinic treats your pets with quality care that a human would receive. They know your pets are family! They take pride in their A+ care & compassion. We are about to adopt two more fur babies very soon & i will take them no where else but here. Thank you Mountain View Small Animal Hospital for leading by example in quailty veterinary care. I took my cat to these people for 7 years so she was not some stray. I took her in because she lost her balance a couple of times and they took her in back, did bloodwork, and flat out refused to give her back to me, saying she needed to be put to sleep. no explanation, she just needed to be put to sleep. I begged them to let me take her home so the family could say goodbye to her because we had her 18 years from when my daughter's Brownie troop visited the animal shelter and she picked her out.. I promised to bring her right back, but they said she would die before I could. I definitely was in shock and didn't know what to do. It was so unheard of and caught me completely off guard. I thought the vet was always right but I still plotted ways to get physical access to her but couldn't so I couldn't even grab her and run. I felt so helpless. After much begging and pleading on my part, they put it off until that afternoon so the whole family could come traipsing down and say goodbye to her in a stark examination room while she had tubes sticking out of her and we knew her death was imminent.. At least we did get to say goodbye even though it was inhospitable surroundings. Maybe she did need to be put to sleep but it was just so wrong in so many ways. The bottom line is: How could they refuse to give her back to me when she was mine? Read Less

Dr Jessup and Dr Hempel saved my 1st dog from parvo in 1995 and she lived for another 16 years! I have been going there ever since and I wouldn't go anywhere else with the 3 dogs I have now. Here is my Yelp review: I am a foster doggy mom. I had a small chi dropped off to me late last night that was in really bad shape. She'd been mauled by a large dog because her neglectful owners never had her spayed - and then she got out. Her injuries were far worse than initially thought & I needed to take her to a vet. I am new to the area & called Mountainview. They had back-to-back appointments, but under the circumstances they got us in immediately. It turned out that the foster chi had injuries that were not only EXTREMELY painful, but life threatening. Between the veterinarian, Dr Teresi & the tech, Karen, we made the incredibly hard decision to euthanize her. I just can't say enough about how loving & sincerely compassionate the staff is. They truly care about what's best for the animals. I will be bringing my own dogs here in the future from now on.Read Less

We have been taking our 3 Boxers to Mountainview Small Animal Hospital for a combined 13 years. Our oldest Boxer Bubba who has since passed was treated by all 3 doctors at one time or another. Our Roxy is 12 now and has also been seen for everything from a scratched cornea to laser treatments for her hips to her current diagnosis of congestive heart failure. Our baby Bella is our miracle girl who just recently survived Parvo due to the above and beyond care she received while at Mountainview. The entire staff, Dr. Teresi especially, treats both of our girls as if they were their own. During Bella's stay, we were invited to visit her and I was even able to leave a shirt with my scent on it to encourage her in her fight to get better. We were informed of every treatment and were always made aware of our options. We are always offered the least expensive least invasive option in the diagnosis process before expensive tests or labs are needed. Roxy and Bella are our family and we believe they get the best care available at Mountainview. I would recommend them to anyone. Read Less
