I have always had a great response for everything from MRVS. Dr Beth even took one of my very ill foster kittens home with her to take care of it. The little thing died in her arms on Father's day one year. She called me from her home and told me about it. Even when I call at the last minute I can usually get in quickly. I always ask to call me if there is a cancellation and I will make it in. I recently had an appointment for one cat and at the last minute had to take my old boy Stallone in with the other cat with no appointment. They graciously took care of both of them. I absolutely believe Drs Klapstein and Valinoti are phenomenal vets. We have been clients for decades . However I have noticed a decline in customer service , and how some of the staff speaks from a superior point of view. I was just told that waiting 5 days to be seen isn't "bad" and it's better than waiting 3-4weeks, and this is for a pup with an ear infection possibly from a foxtail. What happened to customer care ? At a previous visit I witnessed a gentleman asking for a cone for his recently neutered dog . He was told they didn't have any and he should just watch his dog. Wrong answer folks. What happened to speaking to clients with respect and not assuming we have less knowledge , intellect, experience, etc? Very disappointed . I guess loyal clients are a dime a dozen to the staff. When you get a referral from a vet tech working somewhere else, you can count on good prices. I was surprised at the quality of service that we were able to receive for our 2 dogs and 3 cats. When we had to put down our Luna cat at age 14 they were the most affordable, but far more important, so caring and patient with me. After I lost my job and I found a tumor in my large dogs abdomen I was given several choices for treatment including a wait-and-see. Test were run as a minimum to make sure that nothing was being neglected and what I thought was going to financially break me ended up being benign. You are the most heartless animal clinic I have EVERY that the miss fortune to deal with. On Saturday, July 30, 2016, I called in crying telling you I need to have my dog put down; he could no longer get up. You made the comment I hadnt been there in years, theres a reason for that I just moved back to the area, and that you were booked. You said you would ask the vet when I could bring my beloved dog in, you NEVER called back! Thankfully I had enough since in my grief to call Country Oak Vet, they told me to bring him right in and they would work around their appointments to assist me in my time of need. You STILL HAVENT CALLED; my dog would have continued to suffer and would have died slow agonizing death waiting if I sat at home waiting for your call. It would have taking your vet less than 5 minutes of his time to help end my dogs suffering, are you trying to tell me that you were so booked that a vet who is supposed to be there for the animals couldnt take the time to help! You should be ashamed of yourselves, I only hope that the next time someone calls you in the pain that I was in that morning you treat them with respect and do all that you can to help them in their time of need.Read Less

I will never ever take my animals any where else! My barrel horse Cummins had a case of pigeon fever that went internal and I was certain I would have to put him down, I am a part time college student and there was no way I could afford the treatment he would need. Dr. Becky asked me what i could afford and I said at max $1000 she took that into consideration and my horse stayed in the ICU for 3 days with an IV a blood transfusion, ultrasounds and countless blood tests. My bill was a little over $700 I was flabbergasted....she said that she hadn't seen a case of internal pigeon fever and did most of the work free of charge for "research" the people at this practice truly care about the animals that come to them and I am so incredibly thankful that they saved my babies life. Love this place and everyone who works there!! Ever since getting my puppy I seriously call them once a week (We have an ongoing puppy problem) and they are so accommodating and nice! My husband asked me to bring in our dog here because he had a relationship with this vet for years! When I tried to schedule an appointment because our dog had a swollen eye, they refused to schedule. They said that his ex-wife is now the owner of the account and they aren't accepting new clients. I never heard of losing a vet due to divorce. Lol - I don't recommend them because of my bad experience, but it looks like they have plenty of clients, so they can pick and choose. Hopefully, I can find someone to see my dog soon. I wish I hadn't wasted my time here. Read Less

If I could give 10 stars I would. I started a Harris vet and couldn't stand the way they treated me, and my animals were always terrified of them. The first time I came to Molkeumne River Vet I knew I would never leave. They always greet you with a smile and treat your pets like their own. They always go out of their way to make sure that you and your pet are happy and satisfied. They have helped me bring new babies into the world say goodbye to others and spent countless hours saving a litter of parvo puppies. I couldn't ask for a better vet. Absolutely Love Doctor Becky the Large animal vet Super Star.....she has answered question on call so many times, taken haul in patients at 10pm, and her and fernando are a great team, work well together, and really just are the best in my book.....Best of all, it does not cost an arm and a leg to take your animals here. She will do call-outs very reasonably, but I like to save the money and haul-in if I can. I will be a life long customer of Mokelumne River Vet.....that is for sure! Read Less
