I wanted to express my dissatisfaction and lack of concern for my visit for Max. I had made an appointment for him to be seen for change in breathing and activity intolerance. The staff did accommodate bringing him sooner then later which I do appreciate but in order for the vet to accurately find out what was going on they needed an X-ray. The X-ray machine was broke so the staff was adamant about turning Max away so quickly. He did end up passing a few days after the appoin...tment with inaccurate diagnoses from the vet he was referred to by vineyard. I needed to take him to another vet for another opinion which was found but too late. I will forever miss my Max who’s been with me for 12 years. I never received a follow up call to see how he was doing which we usually have with my other pets. I hope I will receive better care when we continue to bring our huskies in. See More Read Less

I take my chihuahua Luca to Dr Vince P. @ Vineyard. As an RN for 35 years, I appreciate the expertise of a competent doctor!! He takes time with his patients and owners. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.... Doctor & Staffs (my angels) they're all so nice & friendly ..I always see them with big smile on their face. My dog "Tule" she always get excited to go in and greet with them. The price is reasonable, and if there is some medicine you could buy from the store for a better price, doctor will write the name down for you to go buy one ;-) How amazing is that. The staff is what can make or break a business. Besides the vet being absolutely amazing, the staff is so great!!!!! They treat your animals as if they were there own. This is so far the best vet in this area, the place is so clean, smell great. All the staffs are super nice & friendly. My dog loves to go there, she got so excited everytime. I had my puppy spayed here, great job of Dr.Piatt, when I was wondering about anything might be wrong on the stitches, I just email the photo, the doctor will take a look for me, don't need to bring my dog in every time. Very very nice! and above everything, the price is so right, cheaper than another vet I've been using. I'd recommend this place to everyone. Check!  Cute office cats in costumes?  Check!  We love this place for our pets (cats and dogs) and have been taking our foster and rescue cats in more and more often.  While it's not a hop, skip and a jump from Galt, it's every bit worth the drive from Galt.  Dr. Piatt is great with our animals.  We really get the feeling he cares deeply for his patients!  Prices are very fair; office very clean.  I would absolutely recommend this vet hospital! Both my parents and I have taken our animals here for years. Dr. Piatt is THE best vet I have ever gone to . He is kind, never over-sells, is excellent with animals, and is very knowledgeable and skilled. Whether it is basic vaccinations, euthanasia, or surgery, Dr. Piatt and his staff have been amazing. He and his staff obviously really love and respect animals. I live over an hour away and am willing to make the drive rather than going to any other vets near me. Awesome place. Took my 7 year old schnauzer in to get 2 fox tails that he got stuck in his mouth out. Since he would be under anastisia we figured it would be a good time to nueter him.  They took extra care of him because of his age and everything went smooth. Dr. Piatt is the most wonderful, kindest, caring vet a person could ask for. What I love most is he gets to the dogs level and will sit on the floor with them for a few minutes prior to the exam to help calm the dog. It's all very informal as far as the dog is concerned. He listens to my questions and concerns and then does something about them! He will move his schedule around if need be and you can tell he just loves animals of all kind. I have been going here since I moved to Lodi in 2009 and I have NEVER had a bad experience. The whole staff is wonderful! They remember Bruno by name, always pet him when he comes in, and give him treats for being a big boy. Whenever I have questions they either know the answers or run back to ask the doctor real quick. I feel very safe leaving my dogs medical care and medical precedures in their hands. And while I would pay anything to take my dog to a place where he feels content, and staff treats him like one of his own, office visits are fairly cheap. I love this office so much! Read Less

Putting the summarization first, Dr. Vince Piatt is a wonderful, Veterinarian. Caring and compassionate. About five days ago, my miniature dachshund mix was attacked. We took her straight to Dr. Piatt. We couldn't get her out of the car, so my mom went into the office to ask for help. Not only did the nurse come out, but he came out as well, to help get Buffy from the car. He was gentle, and seemed genuinely worried about both Buffy and my mom. After giving Buffy an antibiotic and pain shots, along with medicine to take home, he didn't stop there. He sat with my mom and I and discussed what happened. During this time, he was supposed to start on neuter and spay surgeries, but he insisted on making sure everything with Buffy was all right. My mom say's he's one of God's angels, and honestly I have to agree. There's no one more caring or compassionate than Dr. Piatt himself. Read Less

I've been bringing my Yellow Lab into Dr. Vince for the last year or so and I couldn't be happier with the service.  He is very personable and takes very good care of every animal that gets brought to him. You can tell from your visit's with him that he treats the animals like family.  He also doesn't try to sell you products that you don't need. I once asked him if i should buy the "bison" dog food he sells at the shop and he told me it wasn't any better than something I could get at pet co for 1/2 the price.  He is patient with you and will sit and answer any questions you have for him.  I could sit here and write pages about how amazing Dr. Vince is, but just trust me, bring your animals to him and you wont regret it. I rescued a 9yr old Chiwawa about 1 month ago and found that she had horrible teeth. Some had already fallen out and the rest were full of tarter and infection. My daughter takes her dog to VVG and recommended it for Pixy. The first visit was awesome. The vet just stood and held her to do the exam. Two weeks later she had all but 5 teeth pulled and cleaned. They were walking around the office holding her when I went to pick her up. They were able to keep the cost down and treated us very well Read Less

See ya in 3 Years!Original Review 05-07-2011Got my notice from the City of Lodi to get "Joe" ( media3.ct.yelpcdn.com/bp… ) a Rabies Vaccination.Last time I was at Vineyard Veterinary Hospital, it was the initial complimentary visit upon the adoption of "Joe" from Animal Friends Connection, a pet adoption agency, in Lodi, CA. ( yelp.com/biz/animal-frie… )When I made the appointment, I came to the conclusion that there isn't a current relationship with Animal Friends Connection and this Veterinary Hospital. I reassured the receptionist that Joe had been there before... and she eventually found Joe's medical documents.When I entered VVH early this week, there was a family with their alley-cat cat... a huge dark-haired cat. Why I mention this is that there is a cat which passes by my backyard every morning and afternoon looking for mice, I presume. When Joe sees it, he just goes crazy... barking like mad. And, the cat in the waiting area at VVH kinda resembles the neighborhood cat... I said to myself "Joe, you'd better watch it! That cat is twice as big as you are!". I tightened my grip on Joe's leash... ready for anything.... I needn't have worried... Joe kept his composure... shocked the heck out of me!I guess there was a disconnect between the City of Lodi and the Hospital in that there was a mix-up of what kind of Rabies shot Joe initially received before adoption... the City of Lodi listed it as a 3-year shot, and VVH had it as only a 2-year shot. So... Not bad for the price. A lot cheaper than in Lodi city limits locations of other Vets. Had my dog spayed for $75.00 out the door and includes nail trim. Can't beat that.. Really nice location. If I have any thing major I will go back again.  For shots I will keep it local. The money I would save in regards to the price difference I would waste in fuel driving out there. Read Less

Our puppy was adopted from a home rescue group in Stockton, which came with a "free" spaying at Vineyard Veterinary Hospital.Not knowing anything about the vet, we were nervous to show up in Lodi and leave our dog with a random office.  The first address I was given, right of the 5 was wrong, and I showed up at an empty, sort of gross vet office in a office park.  I contemplated driving home, but called them instead and discovered they'd moved to a much nicer office, off one of the country roads outside Lodi.  Once I arrived at the new office, my concerns were assuaged.  The office is beautiful and the staff was very friendly and sweet to my dog.  They gave me an estimated time to pick her up and said they'd call when she was ready.My husband actually picked her up, so I can't comment on that experience, but the pup recovered well from her surgery, and came home with a cute bandanna they'd put around her neck (which she happily wore for weeks afterward).  While we won't be driving back to Lodi to go to the vet (we live in Sacramento), they seem great, and if I lived in the area, we'd probably be return customers.
