I was visiting Lodi with my dog last weekend. He had an accident and caught a claw( nail) and it pulled it out completely. We couldn't get it to stop bleeding so we went here. First the vet tech gets 5 stars , we had called , she came out and got him a compression bandage to stop the bleeding. The love ends there. After waiting we saw the vet. She looked at it. She did not sedate him, went and got the tech to hold him down on the table, then gave a shot of lidocaine to numb his foot which hurt him, then proceeded to trim something, when my dog screamed in pain- oops, she said," I didn't wait long enough." All the while he was being held down- I felt so horrible for him. Then, it got bandaged up, we asked about after care, she said, just take the bandage off in 48 hours if it was still on and put a baby bootie on it. I asked what to do if it started bleeding, she said, oh here's some extra powder you can put that on it. She seemed to resent any questions we tried to ask. She acted like this was no big deal. No other instructions. I took him home to his regular vet on Monday, he was properly treated. My dog was so traumatized by the Lodi visit he was very anxious, he was sedated so his foot could be examined. Skin and nail had to be cut back or the Dr. said it couldn't really heal and would be prone to infection. the wound was washed and dressed. It wasn't washed off at the Lodi vet. My vet is professional, but shook his head when I asked him about the previous treatment. The vet had us make a followup appt for two days to remove his new bandages . He gave Bubba a cone to keep him from chewing his foot. I felt as though the Animal Hospital vet was in a hurry to get to lunch at 12:00. My dog was treated inhumanely, we were treated rudely and there was no mention of followup. I will not be ever going back there again. Read Less
