I rescued a stray dog (9-10 years old) about 6 months ago, and he recently started to get nauseous, lethargic, and just wasn't himself. The vet I was going to before in Stockton was ripping me off, making me do outrageous tests and uncalled for requests, all while not giving my dog anything to help in the mean time of him being sick. I couldn't stand it, so I was referred to Cherokee Vet Hospital by one of my co-workers who swears by them (although his regular vet here passed away not to long ago).I called and asked when the soonest appointment would be and they said that they couldn't get me in until the following week. She took the time to understand what my dog's past was like (while I had had him) and what the diagnosis could be. She wasn't beating around the bush, and had requested blood tests to be done, and gave me some vitamins to give to him as an IV while the tests were still in the lab. Although my dog's journey to wellness isn't over, I believe that this place will lead me in the right direction, and keep my dog's health in mind. Read Less
