The people here treated my dog like he was gonna bite them the whole time. He has never bitten anyone nor has he ever shown aggression. I would think the people that work here would love animals and treat them with love. I'm disappointed, I will not be coming back here.

The staff here are very friendly. They are accommodating and helpful with whatever services your pet needs. Prices are reasonable. Care quality is great, my dog is never upset when brought back to me....

I adopted a dog from Long Beach Animal Control/ SPCA, and they sent him to VCA Los Altos to be neutered. I must say that my two interactions with them have been extremely positive. I paid for the extra pain meds after surgery, and when they gave me Rimadyl I declined (Based on many bad experiences with my old dog and others at the shelter where I volunteered ) and asked for something else. The technician was totally understanding and respectful, and arranged for a different option--which I appreciated. Based on the unfortunate passing of my 14 year-old dog a few weeks ago, I am looking for a new veterinarian. Even though VCA is not close to home, I think they will be Jeffrey's new vet thanks to these very positive experiences. (I just hope they are not too expensive, and don't try to nickel-and-dime me, as another review claimed!) One last note: this is the cleanest animal facility I have visited in years, with no bad smells. Thanks folks!

Absolutely love this place. I was worried as to where to take my pitbull mix and Dr. Emily has gone above and beyond to help her. Cookie has several issues that has led to surgery and our doctor has been available to us 24/7 through phone. Very convenient and flexible hours.

I was skeptical at first, but the staff are excellent.. I had an appointment for a later time but arrived super early. They took me in right away even though I was informed I may have to wait until my scheduled appt. Jessica, the assistant (?) Was really sweet and helplful. Dr. Ameti, loved him. HeS not a "bs tell me what I wanna hear" type of doc. He was straightforward with me about my leroy and his condition. As well as gentle. This may be the place I go back to for all of my cats needs.

They are amazing! We brought in a community cat with a severe left paw injury. Amputation was needed and the original quote they gave us was way more than we could afford. The other option was to put him down. We just didn't have the money to make it happen, my partner and I were in tears. The doctor asked us to wait a minute while she spoke with the medical director. She came back and quoted us a price with a significant reduction, basically just covering their expenses. We were able to put this unexpected expense on our credit card and the community cat known as Bootsy was saved, he now is known in the neighborhood as Tipsy Boots. He gets around just fine on three legs, he is still a part of the community and a daily diner on our porch. The entire VCA Los Altos team pitched in to get him back to health, everyone went out of their way! We are externally grateful for their compassion and care. They are now our only choice for our animal's care and we have a lot of animals.

This is the best place to bring a pet. My grandson and I brought our new little Jack Russell for her first exam and it was great. The staff was warmly welcoming and took an interest in our puppy. The vet was excellent as was the support staff. We brought her in again for her second visit and it went so well. We had a different vet this time and were very pleased with him, also, Dr. Ameti. They discovered a small problem, called and had meds ready to pick up. They also called after the first visit to see how Shasta was. It shows their interest in the pet's health. I have 2 Cairn terriers aged 7 and 8 and I intend to take them in for their health visits. I am so happy to have VCA Los Altos Animal Hospital for my pets and would recommend it highly to anyone looking for care for their animals.

I adopted a dog from Long Beach Animal Control/ SPCA, and they sent him to VCA Los Altos to be neutered. I must say that my two interactions with them have been extremely positive.
