I just adopted a dog a month ago and she hasn't been keeping weight, has a cough and diahhrea. So I brought her in. They were not friendly at the front desk. The doctor himself was rude to me. Did a basic exam, told me she's fine but she needs to gain weight, and that was it. For $100! I brought her in because I was concerned about her losing weight. No explantion. She has food out at all times. I've tried switching foods, adding vegetables and salmon to her food. He didn't help at all and left me feeling like I was dumb. I've never been to such a unhelpful vet. Will not ever bring my dog there again. Read Less

They prefer you overpay to buy medication directly from them, so they make you jump through hoops to get a prescription from an online pharmacy. Instead of them calling in or faxing the prescription to 1-800-PETMEDS, they say I have to come in to pick it up and then send it to the online pharmacy. They hide behind the claim that they can't guarantee the quality of the medication provided by an online pharmacy. Give me a break. FOLLOW UP: I had not heard from them after 4 days, so I called to ask how long it would take to get the prescription. I was told the script was ready and they had called. They did NOT call. the vet wiped blood from the floor and then wiped it onto my cats butt opening . can someone please say unhumane and unsanitary? this vet is extremely lucky i don't sue them for the way i was treated in this office . wiping blood then using the same toilet paper to b wipe my cats opening when he was already dying . i'm a school teacher and do not take your pet here . it is dangerous and the people do not love animals. luckily i found animal speciality group they love animals and saved animals life go there not to larchmont !!!!!! the staff was extremely rude and also tried to hold onto my pet hostage and tried forcing me to stand in a room and hold onto my cat to force me to pay first . i'm sorry but u receive service and your pet back before payment , in mean time my cat was in life or death state and this is what they were doing . honest on my life this place should be shut down . I took my 14 year old cat in for a checkup and had a great experience. The front office staff is overall friendly and attentive. The fees are slightly higher then other local vets but it's worth paying a little more.  The vet who saw my cat, Dr. Hange, is great.  She is professional, kind and takes the time to explain everything and answer your questions without rushing you.  I am very happy I decided to switch to Larchmont and will definitely be returning. I love Larchmont Animal Clinic.  your vet is one of those things in life i never thought of reviewing because they are part of my every day. Dr. Ciganik is my favorite, he has a wonderful way of making me feel like everything is going to be okay. Dr. Ta is also very caring, at first it took me a while because he was new but now I like and respect him.  Oh,  all the women who work there are so professional and patient with me, and sometimes i'm a bit scared and nervous because my pet's comfort and very life is at stake, they are always calm.  It can be expensive to have responsibility for a life whether it's human or your pet but i come here because i have trust in these people and faith that they know what they're doing and they have seen me through the death of 3 cats (over 17 years old, each one) and now the life of my doggie, Hopsy! One thing I realized was most if not all negative review have to do with Dr Ta.. That being said we have been coming for about 2 years with my Frenchie since he was a puppy.. The front desk staff and others doctors have always been very pleasant...Our bad experience was when our Jackson blistered his paws really bad from running around at the dog park...Long story short we went hoping for some type of pain relief and antibiotics...We was recommended was to have his paws glued back on which I could see....... but also to have Jackson put under and extra blood work that cane to a total of over $750.00! This was soo out of control and just wanted the extra money and that what we felt like dollar signs from Dr Ta....We left my partner was so worried about our Jacksons pain but I felt they were taking advantage of us...We went to new Veterinary Care Center on Santa Monica! They took care of Jackson!! NO Anastasia ! NO blood work! Just antibiotics... recomendad booties till he heals two days later Jackson is fine ! And we found a new place that take care of Jackson and us!!!This was never about the amount of money but simply just feeling taken advantage of caring pet Parents!! I am normally not one to write a Yelp review, particularly a negative one, but I feel obligated to do so now. The front desk staff and Dave, the technician, were all very nice and helpful. However, the Veterinarian himself, Dr. Ta, had the WORST bed-side manner of any doctor I've ever encountered. Not only was he very unclear in his explanation of my dog's condition, he also cut my girlfriend off on the phone when she asked a question about the dire blood test results we were receiving and accused her of "not letting him finish" in a very unprofessional tone. Luckily I was able to find another vet that day, Dr. Robert Goldman at Veterinary Care Center (VCC) in Hollywood, and he was able to compassionately treat my dog and me at the end of her life. He deciphered those same blood tests in a clear and helpful way so that I was able to make an educated, confident decision, surrounded by loving staff who took great care of us.P.S. To top it all off, after my dog died, Larchmont Animal Clinic sent me a condolence card for the death of my "cat." Read Less

This was my first time here. They had a online special for first time patients. Took my dog for excessive scratching and nothing I did would helped her (change her food,hot spot sprays etc). I had taken her to another vet and they said they need to do a $500 dollar allergy test!! And that was my only option since they couldn't tell just by looking at her what was wrong. Well the vet here said we could start with an allergy shot first and I swear she has not scratch once!! He said this might be permanent or temporary relief we just have to wait and see but right now Im just so happy she feels better and she doesn't wake us up with her scratching. The truth. My wife and I were in L.A California with our rental car on vacation saw a dog get hit by a car. So of course I pulled over to grab the dog and took him to this veterinarian. They had told me they will not except the dog because they did not know the owner. So I asked them what was I supposed to do. They told me I don't know maybe the Humane Society. So I drop the dog off and ran out the door. This place should of it took this dog in with no questions asked. Plus the lady behind the desk I would like to see her get hit by a car. And see what happens.. I think that if your a vet, you should take a hurt dog or any animal no matter what. Read Less

Every question I asked the vet about her was answered with "well you should ask the shelter". This place was so terrible that I visited a different clinic less than a week after for a thorough exam. I did not feel welcomed at all by the Vet. My dog and I felt very unwanted. LAC's laser light therapy treatments are fantastic! It's really saved my mom's 17 year old dog, who was in a lot of pain from a fall off the porch steps. The results were immediate from the first treatment. We took her in 2-3x/week for a couple weeks, then went to 1x/week for maintenance. Our Lulu is like a puppy again. She is running on her walks, which she had stopped doing a while ago, and now she is running up the entire street and back a couple of times and then running around the house. It's been wonderful to see her so happy! We set up our appts in advance for 8 weeks and we are in and out in a flash! I've been going to Larchmont Clinic for nearly 10 years but after today's visit I'm done with them and looking for a new veterinarian. My dog recently had something wrong with her paw, it was swollen and had some puss coming out. I decided to take her to the clinic and have the doctor look at her. After his inspection he said she may have stepped on something and it may be stuck inside so he wanted to clean the wound and probe for that. Long story short he probed for the item but didn't find anything. After that he sent me home with antibiotics, pain reliever and an e collar so she couldn't lick the wound. About 12 days after the visit she was able to get at the wound and lick it and bite it and it got reinfected due to the fact that the e collar he put on was too small. I went back in today to ask for the proper size e collar so she wouldn't be able to lick at the wound and they wanted to charge me for it. It was only $13 but I was upset because I felt I paid the hefty fee of $380 to fix my dog and he's the one that decided to put the collar on there that was the improper size and now because of his decision my dog now needs more medical attention. After a little argument they decided to exchange the collar, but then the doctor had a second look at my dogs paw and decided that it needs more medicine as it looks infected. He said he'll be right back with the medicine. As I'm ready to leave the nurse tells me I owe them an additional $47 for the tiny bottle of powder to put on my dogs paw. I realize they are in business to make a profit, but I feel poorly treated after having paid nearly $400 for them to basically scrub the wound and give me some medicine and now want to charge me again for the doctors mistake. They are all about the money here and would rather make a few extra bucks than have any compassion for a poorly treated customer. I'm done with this clinic! Read Less

I have been bringing my pets to this Animal Clinic for 11 years. They have top notch doctors and a warm, caring staff. They always take such good care of my pets and go above and beyond to accommodate you during rough times and poor health. Dr. Ciganek is a Godsend in every way. My cat Griffin recently passed on to the Rainbow Bridge and they made a generous donation to the Animal Health Foundation in his honor. They are the best. Read Less
