Standard checkup + vaccine boosters took 3 hours from appointment starting time. Had some associated paperwork that I needed for travel, but after the pet is done with their operation, why do I have to wait for their staff that doesn't know how to fill out the paperwork to figure that out while my cats wait in the back room. It is ridiculous, I should have my cats back within 1 hour and then they can ask me to pick up the paperwork later.
I would highly recommend finding another establishment that not only values their profits but also your time.

These guys have provided consistently excellent care for my bunny rabbit and their rates are very competitive. The vet was very thorough with my special needs elder bun and I'm very happy with the vet and nurse staff. Bunny is much healthier now ☺️
Sometimes there is a bit of a wait and it could take a while to get out, but I'm ok with that due to the excellent service provided.

Dr Schwartz has been taking care of our animals for the past 6 years. He genuinely cares about the health of your pet and is knowledgeable. He follows up and returns messages when he can. I'm not familiar with a lot of the other vets in the office, only because we visit every 6 months or so, and sometimes, there's a new doctor that we haven't worked with. When we have a specific concern, we go to Dr Schwartz for his advice.

This vet came highly recommended by my animal shelter and now I see why. My dog ate some dark chocolate covered raisins, and according to the internet he was probably going to die any moment. I called my (former) vet and they said it was an emergency and he needed to come in and stay the night on fluids. They didn't look up his name, this just seemed like their stock answer.
However my dog had already vomited a few times and he seemed fine. I called Overland and spoke with a doctor who got all the info and then said I could give my dog a Pepcid AC and monitor his condition. I did that and he was fine. The next day I took him to Overland for them to check him out and we agreed to flush his kidneys just in case the raisins had damaged them. This helpful, practical advice that he gave me for free over the phone not only helped my dog it saved me a boatload of money. I wasn't even in their client database when he helped me. So that won me over and I have been happy with them since.

My appointment was at 1:30 - I'm a new client.....so I had to fill out new paperwork, there were about 5 others in the waiting room.... I was called into a room within 5-10 minutes, the Dr. came in almost immediately, after getting my dog weighed etc.... She examined him, took him back for vaccines, removed a stinger from his paw (the initial reason for bringing him in) I went out to the lobby to pay a whopping $40...and was in my car leaving the parking lot by 1:58 Oh, and when I left the room to go back to the lobby to pay, all of the other clients had also been taken care of in that time. I am transferring all of my pets here, and hope this was not a fluke, but It went too smooth to be a fluke.... Very friendly staff as well! See more

Dr. Schawrtz was really upset when he found out and handled it asap and said he'd talk to the staff...other than the laxness of some of the staff, some are GREAT fyi - it's a great place and I only go because of Schwartz... if he wasn't there I'd go elsewhere

During that time he provided exceptional care for my two Springer Spaniels, Bert & LuLu, for their entire lives- they lived until 14 and 15 years of age, respectively. Now, for my Terrier mix, Lucy. Dr. Schwartz is an extremely knowledgable and thorough diagnostician, and empathetic caregiver. There is no other Vet who's judgment I trust and respect more than his! Dr. Schwartz at #overlandvetclinic was only facility that took this little dog in for emergency treatment when I found her on sidewalk of La Brea &Melrose dying after being hit by a car. She lost her elderly owner and was running in fear across busiest intersection of LA. I saw array of cars hitting breaks,something looking like a bunny rolling to the curb. I told my mom immediately to stop the car I ran out and rushed to the animal. The dog laid on pavement not moving. I picked her up, a young gentleman helped me to take her in the hospital. You can't imagine our shock and nervousness that we could not be on time to a doctor to save her life. We were searching for ANY help. I googled nearby vet hospital on La Brea and Melrose. I rushed in with little doggie bleeding severely all over me begging them for help.Guess what!? They refused me as I wasnt "their patient" offered me to the nearest emergency clinic 15mi away. I was shocked. Dog wasnt convulsing but at least I begged them tell me what to do? All they did was slam the door in my face. I was in disbelief. Are those the doctors who have sworn to help? All of the sudden a thought crossed my mind : Dr Schwartz! I went to him when Leo had horrible sarcoptic mange &infection, then my Goldie had horrible ear infection -he ALWAYS HELPED. I called Overland Veterinary & all doctors were on lunch break. Guess what the girl at the desk said? She said: "Please come on in, the doctors will skip lunch and both nurses. We will do our best to save this little soul from dying". That's THE TRUE DOCTORS. THATS THE TRUE MEDICINE. COOKIE (the dog has had microchip and Dr Schwartz even located her owner) is fine!!! She's stressed and shocked (who wouldnt?) but she's tough lil' lady and her owner Justine is very happy to be reunited. My mission was over at Overland Vet Clinic but Dr Schwartz made sure Cookie would recover & see Justine asap. Just NO WORDS how INCREDIBLE these people at Overland Vet are. Dr. Schwartz is someone we turned two years ago when the current vet practice changed their practiced to a HMO and lost the focus on personal care of the pet and its' owners.
We could not be happier with Dr. Schwartz his care and diagnosis.

I came out of the room twice to get fresh air. The third time I asked how much longer and they were surprised We were still there and surprised that we haven't been seen by him. The Dr.apologized for the front counter error and did not rush through the exam.very happy with his service but very unhappy with the counter staff.

I have to say I have not been into this hospital. I can only speak from recent phone interactions. With that I can confidently say that the front office staff who assisted me, and the doctor are very patient and caring. I was searching for a vet to provide neoplasene therapy for one of my babies who has cancer. Neoplasene is a very important options when a pet has a tumor which is innoperable. The therapy has fans and haters, much like every other cancer treatment. Dr Schwartz himself called me back promptly and took much of his time to assist me as best he could from a distance. I would absolutely love to make him my vet if it weren't a 3 hour drive. I have worked as a veterinary technician for 3 different animal hospitals in Los Angeles and couldn't give them even 3 stars. A vet might have a high level of competence but without compassion, he may do more harm than good. Compassionate and honest vets get 5 stars in my book. Thanks for providing us some advice and hope Dr Schwartz!

One of my cats was recently diagnosed FELV unexpectantly. My household has been turned upside down as I have 7 other kitties. I took my Baby in to start the new T-Cyte treatment for FELV/FIV cats as I was recommended by a friend in rescue about Dr. Flanagan. The treatment is so affordable and Dr. Flanagan was so patient to answer all my questions and concerns. I have been going to another vet for years which is quite far, but Overland made me feel so comfortable and secure that my cat will get the best care possible that I will be switching vets. Wonderful service and care for my cat, plus so much closer to my work and home. I was in and out in as the staff very organized. I have already shared my experience amongst all the people I know in rescue. Thank you so much for giving me hope that Baby will live a better quality of life even though she is FELV+!

If you're looking for a rabbit vet, the best option in LA is definitely Dr. Schwartz at the Overland Veterinary Clinic. He's taken Sammy successfully through several episodes of GI Stasis, from mild to serious, and one very stressful jaw abscess surgery with complete remission. The staff at the clinic is also great at taking care of bunnies during the day if they need medications/observation/Critical Care feedings while you're at work.

It is ridiculous, I should have my cats back within 1 hour and then they can ask me to pick up the paperwork later.
I would highly recommend finding another establishment that not only values their profits but also your time.

Sometimes there is a bit of a wait and it could take a while to get out, but I'm ok with that due to the excellent service provided.

I'm not familiar with a lot of the other vets in the office, only because we visit every 6 months or so, and sometimes, there's a new doctor that we haven't worked with. When we have a specific concern, we go to Dr Schwartz for his advice.

This vet came highly recommended by my animal shelter and now I see why. My dog ate some dark chocolate covered raisins, and according to the internet he was probably going to die any moment. I called my (former) vet and they said it was an emergency and he needed to come in and stay the night on fluids. They didn't look up his name, this just seemed like their stock answer.
However my dog had already vomited a few times and he seemed fine. I called Overland and spoke with a doctor who got all the info and then said I could give my dog a Pepcid AC and monitor his condition. I did that and he was fine. The next day I took him to Overland for them to check him out and we agreed to flush his kidneys just in case the raisins had damaged them. This helpful, practical advice that he gave me for free over the phone not only helped my dog it saved me a boatload of money. I wasn't even in their client database when he helped me. So that won me over and I have been happy with them since.

My appointment was at 1:30 - I'm a new client.....so I had to fill out new paperwork, there were about 5 others in the waiting room.... I was called into a room within 5-10 minutes, the Dr. came in almost immediately, after getting my dog weighed etc.... She examined him, took him back for vaccines, removed a stinger from his paw (the initial reason for bringing him in) I went out to the lobby to pay a whopping $40...and was in my car leaving the parking lot by 1:58 Oh, and when I left the room to go back to the lobby to pay, all of the other clients had also been taken care of in that time. I am transferring all of my pets here, and hope this was not a fluke, but It went too smooth to be a fluke.... Very friendly staff as well! See more

Small waiting area. Exam rooms are clean and spacious. Shares a very small (and difficult to park in) parking lot with a compounding pharmacy.

Dr. Schawrtz was really upset when he found out and handled it asap and said he'd talk to the staff...other than the laxness of some of the staff, some are GREAT fyi - it's a great place and I only go because of Schwartz... if he wasn't there I'd go elsewhere

I had a great experience with Dr. Park. I scheduled to have my dog tooth cleaned the first time in his life. Staffs were very friendly and they offered free first time consultation for my buddy. I dropped him off at 8am and he was ready for pickup around noon. I think their price is fair and they have great staffs. I highly recommend this place.

Dr. Schwartz at #overlandvetclinic was only facility that took this little dog in for emergency treatment when I found her on sidewalk of La Brea &Melrose dying after being hit by a car. She lost her elderly owner and was running in fear across busiest intersection of LA. I saw array of cars hitting breaks,something looking like a bunny rolling to the curb. I told my mom immediately to stop the car I ran out and rushed to the animal. The dog laid on pavement not moving. I picked her up, a young gentleman helped me to take her in the hospital. You can't imagine our shock and nervousness that we could not be on time to a doctor to save her life. We were searching for ANY help. I googled nearby vet hospital on La Brea and Melrose. I rushed in with little doggie bleeding severely all over me begging them for help.Guess what!? They refused me as I wasnt "their patient" offered me to the nearest emergency clinic 15mi away. I was shocked. Dog wasnt convulsing but at least I begged them tell me what to do? All they did was slam the door in my face. I was in disbelief. Are those the doctors who have sworn to help? All of the sudden a thought crossed my mind : Dr Schwartz! I went to him when Leo had horrible sarcoptic mange &infection, then my Goldie had horrible ear infection -he ALWAYS HELPED. I called Overland Veterinary & all doctors were on lunch break. Guess what the girl at the desk said? She said: "Please come on in, the doctors will skip lunch and both nurses. We will do our best to save this little soul from dying". That's THE TRUE DOCTORS. THATS THE TRUE MEDICINE. COOKIE (the dog has had microchip and Dr Schwartz even located her owner) is fine!!! She's stressed and shocked (who wouldnt?) but she's tough lil' lady and her owner Justine is very happy to be reunited. My mission was over at Overland Vet Clinic but Dr Schwartz made sure Cookie would recover & see Justine asap. Just NO WORDS how INCREDIBLE these people at Overland Vet are. Dr. Schwartz is someone we turned two years ago when the current vet practice changed their practiced to a HMO and lost the focus on personal care of the pet and its' owners.
We could not be happier with Dr. Schwartz his care and diagnosis.

I've never had any problems with getting a quick appointment. The waiting room isn't packed compared to other places I've been. It can be a little pricey, but the care is top notch.

I came out of the room twice to get fresh air. The third time I asked how much longer and they were surprised We were still there and surprised that we haven't been seen by him. The Dr.apologized for the front counter error and did not rush through the exam.very happy with his service but very unhappy with the counter staff.

I have to say I have not been into this hospital. I can only speak from recent phone interactions. With that I can confidently say that the front office staff who assisted me, and the doctor are very patient and caring. I was searching for a vet to provide neoplasene therapy for one of my babies who has cancer. Neoplasene is a very important options when a pet has a tumor which is innoperable. The therapy has fans and haters, much like every other cancer treatment. Dr Schwartz himself called me back promptly and took much of his time to assist me as best he could from a distance. I would absolutely love to make him my vet if it weren't a 3 hour drive. I have worked as a veterinary technician for 3 different animal hospitals in Los Angeles and couldn't give them even 3 stars. A vet might have a high level of competence but without compassion, he may do more harm than good. Compassionate and honest vets get 5 stars in my book. Thanks for providing us some advice and hope Dr Schwartz!

One of my cats was recently diagnosed FELV unexpectantly. My household has been turned upside down as I have 7 other kitties. I took my Baby in to start the new T-Cyte treatment for FELV/FIV cats as I was recommended by a friend in rescue about Dr. Flanagan. The treatment is so affordable and Dr. Flanagan was so patient to answer all my questions and concerns. I have been going to another vet for years which is quite far, but Overland made me feel so comfortable and secure that my cat will get the best care possible that I will be switching vets. Wonderful service and care for my cat, plus so much closer to my work and home. I was in and out in as the staff very organized. I have already shared my experience amongst all the people I know in rescue. Thank you so much for giving me hope that Baby will live a better quality of life even though she is FELV+!

If you're looking for a rabbit vet, the best option in LA is definitely Dr. Schwartz at the Overland Veterinary Clinic. He's taken Sammy successfully through several episodes of GI Stasis, from mild to serious, and one very stressful jaw abscess surgery with complete remission. The staff at the clinic is also great at taking care of bunnies during the day if they need medications/observation/Critical Care feedings while you're at work.
