I took my 10 year old bulldog there because she was having seizures. The doctor was amazing and explained everything to me.. from the possible causes to courses of treatment, to home care. She is intelligent, caring, and patient. My favorite vet tech there is Kimberly. She is fantastic. She genuinely cares about her patients and follows up to see how my pet is doing. I have been going to Sunland Pet Medical Center for almost 12 years now. I had my previous dog and my current dog go here because of the service. I'm surprised to see negative remarks about the receptionists, because they have been always friendly, especially Kat, Jaime, etc. There might be a couple others who may not be AS friendly, but they've all been polite nevertheless. Ok...onto the actual doctors. I live in Westchester, near LAX, but I go all the way to Sunland (almost 30+ miles away) because I've always been happy with the process. The doctors have always answered my questions and explained to me in full what the next step may be. I'm sure people have different experiences, but mine, for over the past decade, have been positive. I am comfortable there, and there are different doctors to give you an alternate route to just traditional medicine. I have a Westie that has a skin allergy, and instead of just giving him drugs for the rest of his life, Dr. Lavely offered some advice on alternative medicine, such as acupuncture and herbal remedies.
