I've taken my kitten here for a routine physical, a sick visit, and had a follow up call after having to take him to the ER (ER was different office), and another appointment for vaccines. The good: - Appointments and scheduling are super easy and flexible because of the business hours and the reception staff. - parking in back is easy, free. Huge plus in LA.- I appreciated the follow up call after taking the kitten to the ER (ER was different place).- I had two doctors here and they were both really nice and knowledgeable (but see below for our experience with the third doc). What didn't work for me:- We brought our kitten in because he was in pain and had some sort of infection. It looked like it was only in one eye. Dr. marks prescribed an eye steroid (in the form of drops) and an oral antibiotic. I asked 2 questions: 1) do I put the drops in both eyes or just the one? 2) how do I administer the oral antibiotic - in his food, water..? To the first question Dr. Marks scoffed and condescendingly said no only in the infected eye. To the second question he scoffed again and impatiently said to give it to the kitten directly in his mouth and that there'd be a dropper. I guess I got answers to my questions, but I was surprised to be treated like an idiot. I thought they were fair questions. Maybe I was wrong to ask? - I'm glad I asked those questions because when we got the meds at the pharmacy (front desk), the eye drop directions said to put it in both eyes. I was able to clarify on the spot. - the oral antibiotic was supposed to be refrigerated, but human error and we weren't told, and there wasn't a sticker on the box. They had premixed the antibiotic, so no need for me to read the mixing instructions in fine print which did say to refrigerate. That's ok... But yeah meds probably not very effective. Two days later, we had to take our little one to the ER. He was in a ton of pain and now both his eyes were infected. we repurchased the antibiotics from the ER, and $900 later (luckily we have pet insurance), that's when we found out it was supposed to be refrigerated. - in the follow up call we got (very nice of them to call after they found out our kitten had been in the ER over the weekend!), I kindly informed them about the medication errors. They eventually put Dr. M on the phone and he did apologize for not having a refrigeration sticker on the box (he said this was unusual - usually they put the sticker there), but when I also mentioned that the eye drops probably should have been shaken before administered he got impatient and essentially rushed me off the phone and hung up. Big takeaway here is that I feel uncomfortable with dr. Mark's bedside manner, but I've had great experiences with the other doctors in the practice. I think it's worth it to go back to the other docs. Not worth it for me though, having been humiliated a couple times. I am going to go down the street. Read Less
