I see some unfavorable reviews and I caution you to read this one thoroughly. This is an EMERGENCY Center, so yes the prices will be more expensive than your regular vet and yes, they may have to do additional tests you're not used to paying for, remember, we all came into this location on an EMERGENCY, so the Doctors have to run tests to figure out what the issue is.
I've been going to this hospital on and off for over 15 years. They took care of my first dog Buster when she had swallowed parts of a tennis ball that needed to be surgically removed. They kept me informed every step of the way and even let me visit with her while she was in recovery. Years later she was diagnosed with cancer, they walked me through the difficult step of having to put her to sleep, they counseled me and gave me all the options so I could make the best decision for her and my family. Ultimately we chose to have this done at the emergency hospital and they couldn't have been more gracious.
Now I have 3 little dogs and they've seen them on and off for the past 12 years. Recently this weekend my little dog fell and I thought she broke a tooth, it was a Sunday, so back to the emergency room we went. I was assuming it would cost at least $1000 (surgery to remove the tooth, etc.). We saw Dr. Morgan Cavanaugh and he said it wasn't broken, he checked and checked, he didn't want to do any unnecessary exploratory exam or put her under, he gave us liquid advil and said to call him if there's an issue later on ($100).
