I've brought my dog over for vet visits as well as boarding. The vets have always been nice and professional. My dog seemed happy and pretty relaxed when I picked him up from boarding, which is pretty much all I can ask for. Two caveats: first, I didn't price shop, so it's possible that another vet would be cheaper. I don't know, and at this point I don't care - the rates seem reasonable to me. Second, I did once have a disagreement with a staff member about the price they wanted to charge vs. the price that was quoted (by a different staff member) over the phone. The exchange was courteous and was eventually resolved in my favor. Crucially, the person I spoke to wasn't a jerk, was willing to listen and, after telling me that she wasn't able to fix the problem herself, agreed to get a supervisor (I think) involved. At no point was she unreasonable, and so that exchange plus the overall good service equals five stars. --- EDIT 6/13/18: I just dropped off my dog for another boarding jaunt. He clearly recognized and was happy to see the staff that took him in. That tells me all I need to know. 5/5 Read Less

For the veterinarians at this clinic, I have nothing but respect and admiration... but for the business-end of the operation, their representatives are dismissive, rude, and heartless. I have been a client for many years and through that time, have ignored the errors and attitudes of the front office team because the veterinarians were wonderful to my pets. My most recent visit involved Luna, a beloved rescue cat we had for ten years. Her cancer progressed to the point that euthanasia was the best option so I sadly let her go a few weeks ago. Upon checking out, I was charged a price that was $70 more than the phone quote and the three reps working the front desk simply shrugged and told me whoever quoted the price on the phone, was wrong. I paid and the cashier asked if I wanted the receipt as it was printing. I thanked her and declined and left, heartbroken over the loss of Luna. The next day, I was called SEVEN times by front desk agents claiming I had not paid the bill for the euthanasia. I explained to each I had paid and was even offered a receipt. I called my credit card company and learned that NUMEROUS attempts to charge my card were made but the connection failed and my card was placed on a fraud-hold from too many failed attempts by the vendor. I assumed the charge would be successfully completed at some point, but it was not. Yesterday I received a call from Yaceeka (sp?) who bluntly informed me to pay the bill with her over the phone or I would be forwarded immediately to collections. I once again explained the confusion and error on Miller-Robertson's behalf and she was relentless in attempting to bully me into giving her a credit card over the phone. To be hounded for payment, which was made in good faith, for a pet's euthanasia is a bit much. So, I can no longer ignore the blatant disregard for clientele, consistently demonstrated by the front office staff of VCA Miller-Robertson, and will source another veterinarian in my area for the remaining care of our pets. ZERO STARS!!!!!! I took my dogs here for grooming and vaccination shots. When i went to go pick them up the bill was like $650!!! They went ahead did physical exams, and other services without notifying me. There excuse was that your pets haven't been here in a while and to do vaccine shots and grooming they needed a physical exam. My dogs have been going here forever and i had never heard of that policy and shouldn't they call me before they do any service that cost more money. My husband and i will never come here again! The only nice and caring person here is TONY who works in the front. He has been there for a long time. We will miss you Tony!! This place is a slaughter house, they are all about $$$$$$$$$$$ and it all starts with DR LISA LOMOND!!!!! She is terrible!! All she wants to do is run tests for your pets and charge you with CRAZY FEES!!!!! That's what you get when you take your pet to a corporate place! I had to learn the hard way!! The Dr's get bonus and incentives if they sell and produce money so all they wanna do is recommend running blood test, tooth extractions etc.... for your pets. it's soooooo sad that it has come to this that theses Dr's like DR LISA LOMOND make money only when they upsell!!! I know this cause this Vet who is a honest person was hired by them and quit because how bad this company runs things!!!! Read Less

They'll pretend to be sick, just to give them some licks (. . . and I'm not even being dramatic.) But when Timmy, and Tabby, and Trixie, Need check-ups, or maybe seem sickly, Or cranky and low, to Melrose we'll go, And soon they'll be playful as pixies. Incompetence + Greed = Death In Loving Memory Balan Hawley-Zucker October 24, 2004 € May 30, 2015 At the Hands of Lisa Lomond In early April 2015, we brought our precious and beloved 11 year old Yellow Lab to Lisa Lomand for a semi-annual Sr. Wellness Check. We also asked that he be given vaccine boosters as required by an play-care and overnight boarding facility we sometimes used. We were woefully ignorant about the dangers of over-vaccination. On VCA MIller-Robertson's website, Lisa Lomond presents herself as "offering alternative holistic medicine". Yet not once did she ever mention the potential dangers of over-vaccination to us. We'd gone to VCA Miller Robertson throughout the first two years of Balan's life as well as the last two years. Lisa Lomond should have been well aware of his vaccination history. As a trusted veterinary medicine professional, Lisa Lomond had a fiduciary duty to discuss the potential dangers of over-vaccination with us. Furthermore, when Balan began exhibiting the horrendous symptoms of an ultimately fatal immune system response to the vaccination that she herself (or her team) gave him, Lisa Lomond completely and utterly failed to recognize his acute, life-threatening condition. Instead she literally threw her hands up in the air and ever so "cutely" whined - "I don't know..." in feigned frustration I imagine. After three successive visits to Lisa Lomond while Balan was medically crashing, we finally rushed him to VCA All Care Emergency Hospital in Fountain Valley who identified exactly what was happening and began futile treatment withing one half hour. I will say that the Dr.s and entire staff at VCA All Care were absolutely amazing, top-notch, highly compassionate professionals. For six weeks, we prayed and tried to nurse our baby back to health at a cost of well over $10,000. He was gallant and did his very best. But after a complete relapse, there was no humane choice except to hold him in our arms and let him go. For 11 magical years, I know he loved us and Lord did we love him back. Try to dispute one word of this Lisa Lomond or VCA Miller Robertson! I have every single page of your records, the emergency hospital's records, every single receipt and there are two of us who will testify to your actions! Read Less

I live locally and always took my pet to these vets despite the fact they seemed greedy as hell. When I became homeless and on general relief, I took my dying pet in. They would do virtually nothing. They wanted an obscene amount of money on the spot and sent me packing. My beloved pet died the next day. Probably all he needed was to be hydrated and some thyroid medication. When my last pet faced death from old age (19 years) and was scheduled to be euthanized, they plied me with their famous "options" and tried to get me to pay out big bucks for this or that... The experience was jolting. Their interest was only in how much money they could extract from me. Read Less

All of the staff at VCA Miller Robertson are super friendly and wonderfully competent. The setting is clean and pleasant. Our cat's vet there, Dr. Tadji, is fantastic. I am scared of taking my cat anywhere because of all the reviews that people write, everyplace I've looked into has really bad reviews and a small percentage of good ones. I realize that when it comes to our pets care, feelings run high. I'm just praying this is a good place and I will report back after my visit. I think it's important to keep an objective view (as far as possible) because people like me look at these reviews and feel totally lost. I wish I didn't have to take my cat anywhere!! We'll see! My dog seemed happy and pretty relaxed when I picked him up from boarding, which is pretty much all I can ask for.
