My cat has some more serious issues, I felt they were just going down a checklist. That gets expensive. I felt they didn't know the issue and just wanted to try the next step to find more, but each step just gets progressively more expensive. Everyone was so nice AND did their jobs well- from the front desk staff, the vet tech, the pharmacist and Dr. Koga.  They are also available for consultation 24/7, for a first time puppy owner, this gives me peace of mind that someone will follow up if my puppy has an issue. Does your dog need a vet? Go here. Don't look at any other listings and trust that literally all your needs will be served here outside of "specialty care". From a general perspective really research the cost of other vets sending tests out. And then research what Adobe offers in-house. Then work with literally any member of their staff, front desk and doctors; you will never be short on knowledge and general awesomeness. This vet just tried to save my first fur babies life, tirelessly and with fully informing me throughout. They were realistic and thoughtful with me the entire way through. I could not have asked for a better tough situation. So whether it's minor or major (outside of specialized treatment), look no further. Your animals will thank you! I live in LA, but used to live in the Bay Area and always went to Adobe. Recently, my old-man rat had a host of problems my local vet couldn't tackle, and it was looking like I might have to euthanize him soon. Fortunately, I realized I was overdue for a trip up to the BA for family stuff anyway. We could just go see Dr. Nakamura and Saori while we were there, since they are wizards with surgeries and helped me get 2 of my past rats to 4.5 years old (that's a lot, for rats).We made the road trip, Max had his surgeries, everything went amazing, it was super fast, AND it was cheaper than my current vet (who is also wonderful). Even with the cost of the drive up, it was about the same as it would have cost at my local vet. Their new facility is so glamorous, and the staff is super nice. And the biggest selling point: I got to be with Max when he fell asleep and when he was waking up, and could have stayed through the surgeries if I wanted (in my case, that's a big NO). There is so much comfort in being the last thing they see when they fall asleep, because you never know what will happen once they go under. There is nothing I wish more than for every vet to adopt this practice. Thank you guys SO MUCH for giving me more time with my little old man. Our fur babies get top notch care at both their Los Altos & Los Gatos locations. Having a terminally ill pet can get very costly & we've found their rates to be competitive even for medical supplies. They teach you how to give your pet sub-cutaneous fluids so you can administer this in the comfort of your home & not have to pay hospital stay fees. Our lab results are received very quickly & we get reports & results at the end of our visits. Technicians can draw blood for tests where you can save without having to pay a doctors appointment fee (best if after a doctor has become involved). You get discounts for repeat doctor visits when it's for the same chronic condition. The Los Altos location it's a full service hospital/lab/surgical unit. I received an unexpected grand tour of the entire facility at midnight on Valentine's Day a few tears back. Every room & area was impeccably clean. No weird smells & saw staff attending to the ill with such care & concern. We drive 17 miles to bring our girls here & when we strayed & went to another vet due to transportation issues, our little one suffered greatly & we lost her due to a mis-diagnosis & lack of willing to do labs that Adobe would have caught & they did with the very same health issue (renal failure), for our other girl still under their great care. I have very high standards for my vet care, and Adobe meets them! They have knowledgeable and friendly staff, a clean facility, great communication and a well laid out facility. When my dog decided the vet wasn't such a great place after her surgery, they were enthusiastic when I brought her in to re-acclimate her. They not only let me hang out in the waiting area, they brought her around all the exam areas and fed her tidbits to help her learn to love it there again. The pharmacy is in store and it is super easy to refill prescriptions. They also carry non prescription items, and now have a mini retail area too! My dog also has drug sensitivities, and being the worry wart that I am, I kept asking for verification that they were aware of it. Not only did they never make me feel bad about that, they repeatedly assured me that they remembered AND they added an alert to my profile to let me know they are aware of it before any procedure. <3 They are amazing! While they can be a little bit pricey compared to other vet offices, I believe it is worth every single penny. They live up to and beyond my expectations, which is pretty darn hard to do!Read Less

Adobe is the best Vet around when it comes to nervous mommy and kitty. We never feel rushed and always feel cared for by both staff and doctors. EDIT: We lost one of our dogs to cancer. The doctor at Adobe was incredibly kind and helpful during the process of putting her to sleep. Adobe delivered exceptional care and service at a very difficult time. As long as we're in range of an Adobe facility we'll never go anywhere else. --------------- We took our dogs to their Mountain View facility when we lived in Mountain View, and every doctor there was consistently excellent. Great service, great care. They cost a little more for an appointment but never did anything unnecessary, and often talked us out of doing too much. Then we moved to San Jose. We tried other vets but in the end we kept driving up the freeway to take them back to Adobe. Other vets weren't as polished, professional or ethical, and we knew Adobe was focused more on taking care of our pets than taking care of their own wallets. The south bay branch is a dream come true. No more long drives, with the same excellent doctors and service. We won't go anywhere else. Read Less

Our Guinea Pig Pepper needed surgery to remove 2 cysts from her ovaries. I had met Dr. Nakamura when we first adopted our 2 girls. I was very impressed by his thoroughness during the examination and how much he cares about the little ones. Now these months later we found that he was at the los Gatos hospital. So, we moved our pigs to Los Gatos. Today he operated on Pepper. Before surgery he was concerned about her heart, so that was examined thoroughly with a consult with Dr Koga. Once again his obvious love of the little ones and his expertise impressed both my husband and myself. He answered all of our questions fully. One hour after surgery our little girls is eating and moving around and getting back to what she does naturally.
