I love Summit Vet. We have been faithfully going to them for almost two decades now. We drive from about a half hour away just to see them. They always treat us like family and treat our pets exactly how they would their own pets. They are mindful of cost and go over options and recommendations. They have never tried to "sell" me on any type of treatment. The staff is always friendly and are accommodating on either last minute appointments or phone calls needing something random! I have to say, after using a few different vet offices, this place gets my vote hands down. We have been so happy with the care our dog has received as well as the very affordable prices. I love that the Dr.'s honestly care about the animals but still have great interpersonal skills too (if you've been around, you may see that there are more vets than not that actually have NO idea how to interact with people well). Unfortunately, we've been here more this year than we have EVER been to the vet in the previous 5 years combined we've had our boy, but I am happy Summit has been there for us. Examples: WONDERFUL care, service, and follow up instruction when our dog had an embedded tick. Fantastic "animal parent" education. 5.5 years owning a dog, I've learned more since April from Summit than I did from ANY of our other vets Quick and Caring response to when our boy decided to hunt down and eat an entire dark chocolate candy bar Helpful behavioral advice and groomer recommendations. We've used the kennels before for longer trips away, and have loved the outdoorsy feel. We recently had our beagle in for dental cleaning. He ended up with 5 extractions. The total cost was MUCH lower than quoted by our local (San Jose) vets, and we got excellent service! The beagle came through just fine! Definitely recommend! Read Less

One of the best experiences at a Veterinary clinic I have ever had. A very caring and understanding staff. Quality care. We had been going elsewhere--some neighbors recommended Summit. We ended up going there once because our usual vet could not get us an appointment in time--and once we went there we never looked back. The other place was fine, but this place is exceptional. I called early on a Saturday morning for my rat terrier that had been stomped on by my horse. The staff listened to my description of his symptoms and found time to fit Lil Joe in. Upon arrival Dr Madden saw us immediately! He gave our dog a through exam and took him for some X-rays all he while being sympathetic & professional. We moved all of our pets here out of convenience and were surprised at how reasonably priced they are. On top of that the service is great and the care our animals receive is excellent.
