I've been taking my four-legged children to Madera Veterinary Center for all their healthcare needs since moving to Madera 4 years ago. Have always found all the DVM's and staff to be knowledgeable, compassionate, caring and loving towards my four-legged children. This clinic has ethical issues on so many levels. On THREE separate occasions, I was charged for services that I did not receive. Having a sick pet is stressful enough without having to worry if you've been charged correctly. If I had not taken the time to review my statement, I never would have caught these errors. I never once received an apology. I perceived several staff members to be very immature and petulant. I changed vets, and thank goodness I did, because it turns out the new vet discovered a significant diagnosis that was not caught by Madera Veterinary Center. I could never, in good conscience, recommend this practice to anyone. Read Less

I love MVC. Both of my cats are seen by the vets there, and each one provides exceptional service. I also take them for boarding when I'm out of town. I have to laugh a little at the people saying this place is expensive. I live in the bay area, and my cat needed a surgery to have a bladder stone removed (cystostomy). My local vet quoted me about 2300. Instead I brought her to MVC while I was in town for the holidays, and the total, including examination, x-ray, and bloodwork (not included in my local vet's estimate) was less than 900. I've had nothing but great experiences with Madera Vet Center. They call a few days after a visit to check on the progress of the pet. I've never known of any vet doing that. Also, we have multiple dogs and the doctors and staff remember each by name and inquire of how each one is doing during our appointments. I recently had to put my elderly dog to rest and the entire staff showed how genuinely sorry they were for my loss. I never felt pressured into having her put down, the doctors and staff did everything they could for her and kept us fully informed of everything that was going on and any options we had available. Love this place. Several years back I used to take my pets to a vet in Selma, but the wait staff became horrible and insensitive. So instead of deal with them, I came to this vet and right away they took great care of my pets. Would never think twice about referring someone to MVC, I just wish they had more boarding suites! They were so kind and wonderful with my dog. I had questions and they answered every one of them. The ladies that I saw didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need and just cared about my dog. We absolutely love this place. We have been coming here for many years and have received the very best care. All staff is wonderful. We recently lost our beloved Q Tip at age 17. The staff and veterinarians here are amazing. They always take great care of my animals and I will not trust anyone else. When we had to put our Rosie to sleep they gave us plenty of time with her and made it very comfortable. Let's just get this out of the way, it is pricey. My gosh, it is very pricey compared to the other Madera vet I've been to. However, despite my limited budget it was worth it. I went in with my two kitties for different issues they had. Everyone was really attentive and did a through exam. They asked a lot of questions and really encouraged us to do the same. Dr. Carr was so great. My favorite part was that unlike Madera Animal Hospital the Dr. Discussed the treatment with me as well as prices and suggested alternatives toHelp cut the cost. And she didn't push unnecessary things to me like other vets do. Will go back again. Read Less

I've been to every vet in Madera and this one is by far the best! The office is clean, neat and always well staffed with very friendly employees that truly love their pet patients. They are all people of phenomenal character. There are three vets on staff and they are very thorough and knowledgeable. My dogs are like children to me and I completely trust these women 100% to care for them. One of my dogs was rescued from abuse and had to have extensive surgery. Not only did they save his life, they donated their services to do it. If that doesn't explain their love of animals, nothing will. My dog is actually excited and happy to see them every time we visit. I cannot recommend them enough. Read Less

I work at 2 different pet hospitals in Clovis and Fresno. I had a cat in respiratory distress. My first reaction was to get him in asap or he would have died on my way to fresno. Unfortunately during my panic mode, I did not call them ahead of time like I should have. When I got there I found the staff to be very kind, fast, efficient, and most of all patient with me during my panic mode. I can't thank the staff enough especially Dr Carr for helping my boy. Compared to a lot of other places I found their pricing very affordable. The amount of care and the fantastic service they provide is amazing. Read Less

Dr. D, you rock! After a nightmare experience with Abby Pet in Fresno I transfered my dog here and man, like night and day! Dr. D is very very nice and sweet and gentle and very fairly priced! She didnt charge me for the overnight stay and an ultrasound. All in all, if you are looking for a nice person who isnt going to rape your wallet, Madera Vet Center is the spot!!!! Read Less

Dr. Polci & Dr. Carr are the vets you want when your pet needs a doctor! Dr. Polci has been our main veternarian for more than 10 yrs. It hasn't always been good news for us, but she's honest and cares as if each and every pet is her very own. We don't trust any other veternarian office. We use to but since finding Dr. Polci in her previous little tiny office on Olive Ave., we haven't gone to anyone else except on her recommendation for a specific test that as of recently can now be done in her office on Schnoor.
