Grateful they were able to help me out in a jam. My current vet office, Veterinary Angles in Agoura had scheduled me for a Health Certificate for a flight tomorrow and there was no Dr. in who could sign in. Called Malibu Coast Animal Hospital at 3:30pm on a Thursday and was told I could come in as a walk in. Headed right over for an exam and got my dog's Health Certificate for $20 less than I would have paid at my vet. Drs Dana and Dean took exceptional care of Leah, whom they'd known when she was training for the Sam Simon Foundation (SSF). Leah and I have been partners for 7 years; she became ill in May while we were at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. By the time we got back to LA, she was lethargic, not eating (normally ate everything) and worrying me greatly. We saw several vets near our Long Beach home, but finally contacted Barb at SSF. She had us come here and they took great care of Leah but, unfortunately, were unable to save her. Absolutely the best care from the best doctors and staff in the world! Dr. Lisa seems to magically understand everything about the dogs, above and beyond her decades of experience. She took one dog we had rescued who had acute double pneumonia and with gentle and committed care returned her to full health in 5 days! It was a miracle! Dr. Dean is the committed surgeon putting them all back together including one of our most recent rescues. She is a 6.5 lb. toy rat terrier who was run over by a car and them left at a high kill shelter. We brought her to Dr. Lisa and Dr. Dean and in a little over 3 hours of surgery he put her all back together. She had her leg broken in 3 places, a dislocated and fractured hip, even her little tail was broken! In my mind, if you can put a tiny dog who has been run over by a car back together, you can do anything!Read Less

This place has been our rock for the health of our dogs since we arrived here from the UK; over our 15 years here and 7 adopted/rescued dogs Drs Newell, Erenberg and Graulich have been kind AND effective - not something you always find. Malibu Coast Animal Hospital is the ONLY place I would take my dog to. Whether for medical care or checking in our dog when we go away - we have never come across such a caring staff. Dr Victor Erenberg is by far the most amazing vet. We had issues with our dog that passed away last year. Were recommended so many different "great" vets - but no one comes close to Dr Victor Erenberg! We have a new dog and the way he takes care of her always gives us peace of mind that we are in the best hands possible. Same goes for Dr. Lisa. My dog is worse and in pain today by their handling and I'm worried. Medicine given without my permission. I'm a bit numb still from this nightmare of a morning. My dog went in for allergy irritation, but peppy. Now, he is lethargic, ear swollen and eye swollen an blood dark red lids, blood shot eyes. I was talked to in a demeaning way. He was kept too long in the back. A complete change from first appointment where I was thrilled and happy for a simple check on something. My dog is very miserable, very unlike himself. Read Less
