I called another vet about the tick head in my dog's neck and they refused to even tell me if an appt was necessary or not, they insisted that I had to pay for a $50 checkup before they'd even talk to me about it. Dr. Riley is awesome. She cares about the animals and their owners. Her staff is helpful and knowledgable too. What I like most about Dr. Riley is that she ways the cost with the benefit to the animal. She understands that medical treatment is expensive and not always accessible, so she doesn't try to sell a lot of services that are not needed or expensive. I've had bad experiences in the past with vets who try to squeeze every penny out of me. This is not the case a Marina Pet Hospital. I have rescued many abandoned newborn kittens over the past decade. I've taken them all to Dr. Riley, even though I pass by several other veterinary facilities near my home. Dr. Riley is gentle and caring with my pets AND with me. The service here is superb.I've entrusted my rescued kittens to Dr. Riley's care, and they all grew to be healthy and happy and highly adoptable. When it became necessary to euthanize a cat who had been with me for 20 years, Dr. Riley handled the task with great gentleness, empathy, and concern for my emotional upheaval.Best of all, Dr. Riley's veterinary services are affordable. Compared to other local vets I've used, she is, by far, the most reasonably-priced and affordable. I need never worry about being gouged. Dr. Riley is much more concerned with treating your pet than she is with lining her pockets. The staff is friendly and helpful, and I am always able to get in for an appointment when needed. They have been treating my dog for over three years now, and were able to detect her cancer early on so she could receive proper treatment.
