The young lady that took my dogs weight and took us to exam room, is friendly and professional, to us and especially our dog, nice job, the rest of the staff could take some pointers from her. The vet on the other hand, the way she came into the room and addressed us and approached my dog, was ridiculous. “You are a stranger, coming into the room, with a loud voice directed at her people, not one word to her, approaching an animal that does not feel well, with Quick movements, your hand in a aggressive manner, while she is being held in a small space by her people? REALLY!!! When we made the statement that our dog did not trust the vet, because of her actions, One of the staff members, looked at another staff member, and actually rolled her eyes, very professional, they took my dog into the hall, away from us, the vet again came in waving the instrument around, this was unbelievable, my dog was extremely stressed, and scared, We decided it was best to leave, with out treatment, This is not the first time we have seen this behavior from the vets at this office, every time we have taken my Rottweilers there. I no longer recommend this vet to anyone and will not return. Read Less

The only good thing about this clinic is that they have more than one vet on staff and can usually see you the same day you call in.The CONS:They try and sell you something every time you go there ! One vet told my husband one of our rescues was too fat And told him to give her the same amount of food as our other rescue (9 yo lapdog poodle) who is shorter and smaller and the rescue he took in she's is 3 years old and very active! He told him to give 1/3 cup twice a day, she got too skinny where you can feel each vertebrae and rib!Another vet there told me my 9 yo needed her teeth cleaned and I told him she just had them cleaned in March 2016 by my prior vet in SoCal. When I asked him how much he said without looking at all her teeth it would be at least $1,000! Ridiculous in SoCal my prior vet charged $150 and that included pain and antibiotic meds! I've heard of people paying $500 in SoCal but not $1000! When I asked if they price matched he said well if you get the teeth cleaned within one month of getting the consultation they will give you a 10% discount ! Kick rocks !We also went to loomis basin vet and they charged me $900 this past weekend for BS and made my dog worse !needless to say I drove Monday back to SoCal where I was moving back anyways and my vet there fixed her up for a third of what loomis charged me ! I was given a quote of over $250 and was given direction to seek another veterinarian in my area. We took a one day old Lab puppy there on a Saturday afternoon that had a cut on it's back that needed a few stitches. Probably the mother picked it up wrong. It took 3 hours & was $450. They even charged for nursing care to keep a puppy in a box with a hot water bottle that I provided. I think this is the most expensive vet in the N. Valley. I brought in a dog I found for his paw. He's not using his paw much. The first thing the doctor asked me was,"Are you going to be responsible if there's surgery?"I've had the dog  5 days, he's lost and the vet cared about his pocketbook. Not impressed. The assistant brought out an option which included X-rays to look for a foxtail and that bill was over $700.I'm bringing in a dog I found because I don't want him to be in pain and it feels like this place only cares about $$$.I left with no solution, but $90 lighter for pills and office visit. If the vet had asked where I found him, his condition when I found him, what could be done to help find the puppy dogs owner that would have started our visit way better, than 'did you plan on being responsible for surgery?'They did check him for a chip. We were hesitant to take our cat here due to the poor Google reviews that mentioned poor treatment of pets (the Facebook reviews now seem inflated and less telling). Unfortunately, our concerns and the reviews were validated. We took my cat here recently to have his vaccines updated. We've never had difficulty with our previous trips to other vet clinics, but the way the assisting vet handled him was just shocking. From the beginning it was clear that she (the vet) was unprofessional and sought to dominate my cat rather than care for him. Instead of grabbing the scruff of his neck, she was clenching his skin with a tight fist, all the while pulling on his fur. This agitated my cat, which in turn frustrated the vet, and she let her anger get the better of her as she continued to jerk him around and raise her voice at him, as though that would calm him down. Ultimately, she got so frustrated with his fidgeting that she lifted him in the air and threw him down to the floor. I understand treating animals can be difficult and may require a degree of firmness. But she demonstrated a blatant lack of compassion and sought only to submit my cat to her violent, angry will. Not the sort of person you want caring for your animals. I also feel the need to note that they overcharge for their kitty condos. Their website describes them to be much more luxurious than the tiny little cages that they are and they laughably say that the animals will enjoy a view of the busy nearby street. FALSE. The cats are kept in a stack of cages against a wall that's away from a window facing the parking lot. We will NOT be returning to this clinic. Do NOT go here if you have the choice.Read Less

My husband and I were visiting family in Marysville and we had brought our three dogs with us. Our French Bulldog, Bacon, loves to play fetch and he's wreckless with anything in his way, including himself. He somehow managed to tear his protective nail bed all the way back while fetching the ball and we didn't notice until we saw blood. Marysville Veterinary Clinic has been the family vet for my husbands family for years, so we called and they got us in to see the vet with only 30 minutes notice. They patched our boy up and we laughed and reminisced about previous family pets while we waited for Bacon to come out of sedation. It was a lovely experience with people that you can tell love animals and have a connection with them. I would bring my pets here regularly if we lived in Marysville. Thank you to all the staff that assisted Bacon. Read Less

The staff and facility is nothing short of amazing! Our American Bull Dog Roxy is a bit intimidating. She is big her growl is scary and like most dogs she doesn't like to go to Vet. What normally happens is they have us put a muzzle on her and they basically exam her from across the room. She hasn't had her shots, nails clipped, or ears cleaned in years. When my husband and I got there everyone was super friendly and listened to our concerns and the lack of care we were able to provide with other vets in our community. Basically our first visit was a meet and greet and both the doctor and vet tech spent at least a half an hour getting to know her and assessing a care plan that is safe and as little stress as possible. They both were without a doubt the best ever. Very professional, knowledge and they truly love animals. Roxy wasn't muzzled or knocked out first time ever. This was the best experience ever! Thank you very much! Read Less

This is a review for the Marysville Vet Hospital on B Street in Marysville. I paid $305.00 to have a cat spayed here and it did not include an overnight stay - other places in the area charge half this amount and do include an overnight stay. My cat developed complications and I phoned, I was told there would be an additional charge to look at her. You would think that they would be willing to have a vet check to see if there was any infection as part of after-surgery care. At that point, I decided to go elsewhere. The staff here is apathetic and uncaring. I will not return and would not recommend this facility to anyone who does not have very deep pockets as there is an additional charge for every little thing. At $300 for a spay, an after surgery check-up should have been included. They just glue them shut and send them home. IMO that is not quality care. Read Less

I don't like giving out bad reviews but this place is so bad I just feel compelled to let people know about it. My son brought our cat here for a spay, by accident, as I use a different vet in the area normally. What a nightmare!  He came home saying the bill would be over $400.  I called the place and they said they were charging for micro-chipping, other shots, all kinds of things that aren't part of a normal spay.  I told them I would only pay for the spay. When all was said and done, I paid $305 to have 6 month old cat spayed, she is healthy, there was no unusual thing to have to deal with. This is DOUBLE what it costs anyplace else in the area and most other places include an overnight stay, my cat did not even stay overnight. They charge an extra fee for everything and anything.  Then, when she developed redness and swelling and I called, they wanted to charge me of course another examination fee, the $305 does not include an after surgery check-up.  Already feeling scalped and miffed at the staff's apathetic attitude, I opted to take my kitty to my usual vet instead.  I would not recommend this facility to anyone who doesn't have very deep pockets.  I will not be returning and am dissatisfied at the job they did and the extreme pricing.  If you need a good vet with 20 years experience, try Dr. Tucker over at Feather River Veterinary Hospital.  Place isn't fancy, but you get to talk to the vet directly, he will answer your questions and you get good vet care for fair prices. Valley. Our regular vet closes at noon on Saturday so was unable to go there. Read Less

I rescued a dog that had been running wild for over a month. His coat was matted and he had thistles stuck in between his paws and in his ears. He was alone, scared, hungry and dirty. Dr. Troy Young was very patient with him and got him fixed up for us. He became a nice little dog. The little dog remembered Dr. Young and was happy to see him again, months later. Couldn't have asked for a better vet when we needed a good one. Read Less

I adopted a Jack Russel Corgi from a local kill shelter and they did not warn us about his violent behavior. He has a tendency to bite people in the face, not joking. We have worked with him and trained him, but he still has anxiety, not like when we first got him a year ago, but its still there. And through all of the hard times this vet has stuck with us, through the bites and fear. They manage him with such care and love, and I dont fear taking him there at all. These idiots treated my rabbit horribly. She had a huge cut on her side & after 2 tiring weeks of care (1 failed gluing of the wound & 2 mediocre stapling jobs), they said the staples were ready to come off. However, her cut was not healed completely & the rude nurse that has handled our rabbits terribly from the beginning pulled my rabbit out of her carrier by the head, re-opening the wound. They DID NOT take responsibility for hurting my rabbit & I was forced to go through the entire process again, somewhere else. Read Less
