Great institution. They care for many types of animals, beyond the standard house pet. There ll health services available (acupuncture, massage). There are quite rooms available. They expanded their hours several years ago so you can almost ALWAYS get an appointment. I have a super reactive dog. We bring our own muzzle. The team is thoughtful and gentle with her care, and accommodating to meet her needs. Can't say enough good things. Read Less

If I could give 0 stars, I would. This place is the worst vet office I have ever been to. They are complete crooks. I have taken my dog in 3 times for the same problem, and instead of simply admitting they are incapable of solving the issue, they continue to charge me 400$ a visit. The care is sub par and they do not care about the health of your pet--only the money they will make off of it. To add to that, their staff at the front desk is horribly mean, condescending and rude. It seems to me if you are going to work in customer service and relations you should have a good attitude. I was met from the start with nothing but petty superiority and arrogance. I will never EVER!!!! Return to this clinic. I had heard bad reviews from friends, but decided to give it a shot anyways. I made the wrong choice. Save your money and your pet and go to a better clinic. These people are crooks willing to give faulty service for more money. Read Less

Pretty good vets but I find this place more expensive than other places. Likewise I find the vets to sometimes overreact in a costly way. Ex: when my cats had ringworm they wanted to charge over $100 to test cell culture, while another vet I went to simply shined a black light on them to show presence of ringworm. The staff also charges you to help administer medication while I find other clinics will do it for free. But incredibly friendly staff (especially the front desk) and always willing to accommodate. So so SO thankful for Mid-Peninsula Animal Hospital! My boyfriend and I adopted a puppy yesterday off of Craigslist. Unfortunately the puppy we got is super sick :( All morning I have been calling vets up and down the peninsula to try and get an appointment. Either they're packed with appointments or the office visit price is through the roof! Finally after calling 15-20 places, I called these guys. Not only were they super friendly when they answered the phone but they did everything they could to help me get an immediate appointment. They offered drop off times and or in room times. Not only is Mid-Peninsula Animal Hospital a great place to take your furbaby, but they are also reasonably priced. My mother has taken her dogs here for years and she is very happy with their business. Read Less

It was a life-or-death emergency that first brought me to the Mid-Peninsula Animal Hospital with our failing 16-year old family dog. I'm not sure how I stumbled across their phone number, but I was very blessed in that moment, for our dog got immediate, life-saving help. Those hours turned into days and were an emotional test for me. ...But the kindness of these people continued, and was appreciated more than I could express. The staff and Dr. Bogatsky were professional, smart, yet warmly friendly, supportive and personable, which softened the trauma. Their positive energy kept me charged and hopeful. Miraculously, they saved his life! Our dog lived another year while I made many more visits, ...each time with gratitude and appreciation. Read Less

I have been going to MPAH for over 20 years. I've been very happy with the care my pets have been given. I had one dog who had to be seen every two weeks, for skin condition that wasn't easy to figure out. They took great care of him and made his life much more comfortable. My two cats and other dog have also been well treated. Staff is very kind to pets, as well as polite and friendly. I have the impression they care about pets, and appreciate the in-office adoption (though I go to local humane societies - because I figure the cats at the vets are more likely to be adopted!) I suspect that negative reviewers on YELP might be influenced by medical problems for their pets. I'm sorry for them, because I know how rough that is. But I don't agree. Read Less

I'd really like to see the documentation you have about their pharmacy and lab procedures so that ones bill can get inflated with non-essential tests. That kind of activity, as the earlier writer said is happening, is wrong in so many ways; it is something that needs to be weeded out of the veterinary business. There are plenty of opportunities to make legitimate revenue at such a good hospital as this is, that 'nickle-and-dimming' one to death for more money is simply not even necessary (IMHO, the risks are too %uck!ng high to mess with it; why risk your business, and maybe your freedom, for such nutty things?).
