I made a spay appt for my kitten w/Dr. Harish after doing hours of research/reading reviews & contacting vets. I was impressed w/all the 5 star reviews and w/the Vet Tech I talked to on the phone. I made an appointment way in advance. I wanted the appointment on a Thursday to be able to spend the max amt of time w/her at home. (I generally work from home Fridays.) When I called a couple days prior to the surgery to check in, I was surprised to discover they had rescheduled her surgery w/another vet w/out asking me. I wasn't comfortable w/that & Dr. Harish wasn't available so I had them move the appt to another Thurs a few weeks later. The next week however, they called me and said that was a mistake...Dr. Harish doesn't work on Thurs....so I had to move it AGAIN. I wanted it done first thing in the morning Fri then. No problem they said. They also assured me I could meet w/Dr. Harish in the AM @ 8:30 before her surgery & that he would answer any questions or concerns I had about the procedure & give her a pre-surgery checkup while I was there. I arrived promptly at 8:30 the morning of the surgery & was asked if I wanted to see the doctor? Um, Yah! So, they sent us to a check up room...where we waited for 20 minutes until finally another vet came in (his wife Ulla?) & said Dr. Harish was running late, she didn't know when he'd be in, & she didn't want to leave me waiting. I felt super uncomfortable because I had specifically selected Dr. Harish & rescheduled TWICE in order to get on his calendar. After I talked to her for 10 minutes or so, he FINALLY poked his head in, looked at us & left. WTH??I was annoyed to find out that they had scheduled a couple of appts in the AM before her surgery despite having assured me hers would be first thing. I told the vet I very much wanted to hear from Dr. Harish as soon as the surgery was done & she assured me he would call me & said if I didn't hear from him by 1 to call. She also said she thought I would be able to pick her up at 1:30. Well...by 12:50 I hadn't heard SQUAT...so I called. The receptionist claimed he had called me (he hadn't) & then said he was out at lunch. I said I wanted to know how her surgery had gone (great! she said) & said I could come pick her up at 3:30! Wha??? I said I would really like to pick her up earlier if possible. She said I needed to talk to Dr. Harish. She didn't know when he'd return but said but he had an appointment @ 2. When I STILL hadn't heard back by 1:58 I called again &, he WASN'T BACK, despite having an appointment in less than 2 min. She checked on my kitten and said, oh, you can come get her now. Great! A little more communication/notice would have been great! I rushed down as quick as I could and then was made to wait for 30 min before I could get her. I STILL NEVER GOT TO SEE DR HARISH. They sent out some vet tech to give me instructions. WTH?? I was charged $300 for a spay which would have cost me $50 at PHS. I knew that & was willing to pay it anyway because I thought I would have more personalized service and a higher quality of care for my kitten. Boy was I wrong. If you think that was bad, it gets worse, because when I looked at my bill, they charged me for the "check-up" which they said was free because she was a rescue (an additional $63.81), misspelled my name BADLY despite me having spelled it to the lady using the pilot's alphabet (A as in Alpha, B as in Bravo...) AND having filled out a paper form this morning, and then their post op instructions (printed out /given to me vs. the promised conversation with Dr. Harish) were actually lifted off of some rescue site in New York!!! These instructions include contacting "Operation Pets" if you have any complications from surgery. REALLY??? I should contact this place in NEW YORK if my kitten has complications from YOUR SURGERY. W.O.W.They told me they would be in the office if I had any questions until 5:30. After realizing they overcharged me, misspelled my name, had questions about the plagiarized post-op instructions, I tried calling them at 4:36 and got promptly sent to voice mail stating they were closed for the day. NICE.I seriously do not understand all the 5 star ratings. Either people have shockingly low standards or something else is afoot. In summary:*Resched appt 2x*30 min LATE for first appt of the AM*Didn't bother meeting w/me once he did finally show up*Started my kittens surgery hours after promised time*Didn't bother calling me after surgery despite his office/other vet having promised he would.*Didn't bother calling me AGAIN after leaving message to please call.*Didn't bother meeting me when I came to pick up kitten, sent out vet tech instead.*Plagiarized post op instructions printed off some New York web site*Overcharged me*Left at least one hour early after saying available until 5:30*Still have not heard ONE SINGLE WORD from Dr. Harish.USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!
