Typically I am only motivated to write negative reviews - it's who I am. But I want to give a shout out to Dr. Saini so that other animals might benefit from his care. He KNOWS what he is doing. This place was the worst. One of my dachshunds constantly lost weight and my family and I couldn't figure out why since he didn't seem sick. I decided to bring him over to this clinic and the whole time I felt like I was getting nowhere with what was actually wrong with him.The Dr. constantly wanted to order blood samples in house and to send them out to a different lab as well as do x-rays and fecal tests. It was obvious that something was wrong with my dog. He kept telling me that he is just old which he was (14 years old) but the point was he never gave me a real answer AND the cost for all of that work came out to almost $900! I loved my dachshund with all my heart but I just couldn't afford that.I decided to not go through with any more tests and took him to a different vet and it turns out that my dog had cancer. He was diagnosed immediately and not just beating around the bush with a ton of tests that cost me more money and time. Eventually, I had to put him down because he was suffering. Dr. Saini is great!  This review is long over do.  I brought Havok my Dogo Argentino in to have his ears cropped and to be neutered. I read conflicting recommendations for neutering prior to 6 months and Dr. Saini advised that I wait on that to avoid growth issues. My Havok was well taken care of and there were no issues during the procedure and after care was a breeze. When I brought him in to remove his stitches I was pleasantly surprised as to how quickly and nicely his ears healed. He is now 5 months old and has showed now aggressive tendencies toward the the vet I take him to closer to home. Dr. Saini left a great impression on my pup. Read Less

I have been coming to Doctor Saini for years. He is kind, gentle and compassionate. He and his staff take their time with you. If something appears to need attention he will always give you options and ultimately leaves it up to you. He is not trying to give a sales pitch in any way. I trust Doctor Saini and his staff! He also asks a lot of good questions during pet exams. He is looking out for our furry babies.As far as the price, not a cheap deal but you get what you pay for. I've had several animals but unfortunately my last place shut down, so I was moved to this new clinic. I can't say I've had the best experience or even my pets. I love the front desk and their customer service but I'm not here for a lovely conversation with the girls in the front. Greta, you're awesome. But the doctor who met with my dog, did not listen to me when I had asked him to introduce himself to my shiba.Shiba's aren't your typical breed of animals. They have a mind of their own. They are the most cat like out of all breeds and how do you suppose the demeanor of cats are ...?? If you've never owned one you truly wouldn't know. I own 4 cats, and if you include my shiba...5. My shiba won't bite but he is well aware when someone he doesn't know is violating him. I told the vet to take 5 minutes to get to know him, just like my last vet had told me prior to adopting him. My dog was known as the dog who loved visiting the vets and now sadly, he hates the vets...all thanks to this place. If anyone could recommend any awesome places in the area pls share. Dr. Saini took great care of our dog, Peanut, who passed away last week.  Peanut suffered from a heart murmur and was able to live the last few months of her life in comfort with our family here, thanks to the care provided in her time of need. Read Less

We started going to Animal Medical Clinic when two of my dogs got into a fight 2 years ago. My little chihuahua, Sophie, was seriously injured. Our lab has been going to Dr. Saini for almost 4 years. It was only Dr. Saini that was able to diagnose our dog's thyroid condition although we had taken him to another clinic in Milpitas on a regular basis and they even ran tests for other conditions. Despite his symptoms, we were assured by the other clinic that our lab was in good health. Dr. Saini was able to diagnose our dog and begin treatment right away. The Animal Medical Clinic front office staff is friendly and helpful over the phone and in person. Dr. Saini is thorough and always available to answer questions. I have been dealing with Dr Saini and Animal Medical Clinic for last few years. My 3 year old golden retriever had a special condition and tricky surgery that Dr. Sainini preformed. His diagnosis and surgery was spot on - I double checked the diagnosis with UC Davis Vet Med Center. My dog recovered in less than 2 weeks and have no post surgery issues. We have been going to Animal Medical Clinic with Dr Saini since we adopted our cat in 2004; it's close to our home and I can always get a timely appointment. Both our dog and cat receive all their exams and treatment there. We are comfortable with the level of care, professionalism and prompt follow up. The staff are very accommodating when our cat needs special treatment to reduce his anxiety. I'm impressed with the website, email reminders, and "petly" where I can review our pets' records. As with all medical care (people and pets) we need to be well informed about the options we have for diagnosis and treatment. There are always trade offs between being cautious by running various tests and taking preventative measures and the cost of these services. We ask about what's required or optional and the cost and I feel I get enough information to make an informed choice. I'm glad to support a small business in our area, even if it's not the lowest possible cost. It's nice that Dr Saini knows us and our pets and takes the time to provide personalized service. I had a bad experience with my prior veterinarian and decided to give Dr. Saini a try. The drive is a lot farther but it is worth it! My dog Penny was diabetic and required a lot of treatment and rechecks. Dr. Saini was very patient and thorough each and every time we saw him. I never felt pressured to do any extraneous diagnostics. Two years have gone by and Penny has passed away. We had her cremated and set her urn above our fireplace. She was an amazing dog and we will always remember her. Pepper, her sister, is still going strong with us. We will continue taking her and all of our future pets to Animal Medical Clinic. We love the Doctor and their amazing staff. I recommend this place to anyone who loves their pets and only want the best care for them. Five stars! Read Less

I have been taking my cats to Dr. Saini for years. He takes exceptional care with my cats and my cats love him for it. Of course I have checked out other vets in the area and Dr. Sainis prices are comparable or cheaper than most vets in the area. It's the personal care and attitude that he gives my cats the reason to keep coming back. He will only recommend things for your pet to make sure they are at optimal health. Reffered to Animal Medical Clinic in Milpitas by the Serria Dobies breeder for ear cropping...We live three hours away and were willing to take the 6 hours of drving Ithere and back) for Dr.Saini's cropping. He does beautiful work as you can see on their great web page! The staff has been great answering all of my questions even though i called like 5 times to ask questions and change around appointments. I can happily say that Angell Memorial is different. As soon as I walked through the door everyone was friendly. The front desk staff is populated with animal lovers (something that seems obvious, but hadn't been my experience at other veterinarian offices), and everyone from maintenance staff to doctors is kind and wonderful.
