Not even sure if this is a real vet. I called and some lady yelled at me asking what the problem was when I just wanted to make an appointment. For the sake of your pets health, don't call this number

The people here really care about the animals, and the cost is affordable enough so our animals can actually get care when they need it. Our last vet seemed to pad the bill something awful, and it seemed we couldn't get get out of that office for under $500 -- which meant we hesitated to take them in when they needed attention. But now I have peace of mind - I have no hesitation calling for an appointment at this office if I have a concern, and they've been gentle and caring with our cats, even the feral we had to have euthanized.  As for Jane, she truly cares about the animals' welfare; if you love your pet and take care of it, she'll be on your side. Said he would do his best as the ear was pretty infected. He did a fantastic job. So what if the place isn't fancy my animals don't care it's clean.... I took my cats here a few years ago at the referral of the shelter I adopted them from. They needed teeth pulled (they were old cats who had dental problems). Bay Cities is a low-cost option....a blessing given the high costs of standard vets in the Bay Area.I agree that the office is somewhat spartan, but the place is clean and serves its purpose. They keep their costs down by not having a fancy office. I am taking my new dog here to get her spayed at over $150 savings and have no doubt I will again get good service at a great price. Dr. Cachola and Jane are both good people working for a good cause. I give them 5 stars. Read Less

OMG I cannot believe they removed my review....I'll make this version short.I took my 3 months old puppy here to his vaccination. Long story short....The vet almost gave him an expired VACCINE! I saw the expiration date and asked him if the medication was still valid and he said "yes" and I pointed it out to him that the vaccine was expired and he checked it and acted all surprise! WTF! Then he called the receptionist lady in and she said she had no clue they were expired. So they went in the back as I stood there watching and waiting and it turns out that they had NO CLUE that all their "opened" vaccines were expired!!! Finally they opened a new box, so I double checked to make sure my lil' guy was getting what he came there for.  HORRIBLE!!! ok fine...I let that go, cuz at least they "got rid" of the old vaccines. A few weeks later I took my lil' guy in again for another check up, cuz his testicle has not fully descend. Um...  the vet, couldn't tell me which testicle hasn't descend, 1st it was the left, then "no it's the right", then it was, "oh I was right the first time it's the left" blah....blah... needless to say I took my guy to a REAL vet that actually know his anatomic left from right AND is aware when their vaccines are EXPIRED!!!
