I'm pretty disappointed.  Been going here for years, in the past their pricing was fair and they never pushed the up-sell.  Lately that has drastically changed.  I took my pup in, she had diarrhea, Dr Nasre said she might have --- but it requires blood work to be sure.  He had me leave her for two hours so she could be treated for this (with iv fluids), even though he hadn't yet done the blood test.   When I picked her up, he showed me the blood work and she didn't have elevated white cells, the only solid symptom of ---.  I felt like I had been railroaded into leaving her.  They also said it would be around $400, when I picked her up the bill was more like $600!  Yes, she's doing well today, but I'm not sure she wouldn't have been anyway.  In the docs words, "she's a strong dog."  I was sent home with bland food and antibiotics.This is the second time an expensive procedure was seemingly the only solution.  I feel like a recommendation for a bland diet, etc. would have been as effective and far less stressful for my pup.  Not sure when medicine became a money game but that certainly seems the case here. When I first moved to OC I didn't know what vet to go to.  I tried several places I didn't like them for different reasons.  I admit I am picky.A real estate broker recommended to me where he takes his dog to so I tried them a few times but they were very expensive, they would try to up-sell things to me that wasn't necessary.  It was all about the money.  I asked my next door neighbor if he knew of a good place and he told me about Jeronimo Pet Clinic.  The people that work there are super nice, friendly, professional and have worked there for a long time.I don't need a fancy office to go to, the place is nice and clean, they are honest, they do good work, and is affordable.  Isn't that what really matters?They have been good to me and my pets over the years.  I have been going there for about 15 years and I have no complaints.   I would recommend Jeronimo Pet Clinic I have been very happy with them. Dr. Nasre and his staff are wonderful! My cat actually behaves in this office and it's no longer a chore going to the vet. Gail, the office admin, Is the sweetest most understanding woman and she always finds me a time to come in, even if it's at the last minute. Don't think I will be returning here again. Seems like Dr. Brehmer has very little or no knowledge about cats. Maybe he's better with dogs. I brought my cat here because he seemed ill. We dropped over $300 for his visit and the vet couldn't even diagnose what was wrong with my cat. Don't get me wrong, the staff was extremely nice and handled my boy like a baby, so thanks for that. But not worth coming back to walk away without knowing why my cat is sick. Read Less

I take my 4 dogs and 3 cats here.  I've been going here for years, and I have found Dr. Brehmer very knowledgeable and kind.  The staff here really cares.  The pricing is the best I've found in S. Orange County.  Just give them a try.  I bet you'll really like them. Read Less

We had come to the difficult decision that it was time to put our 17 year old cat down, and had brought her in to see Dr. Matthew Brehmer. He gave us an honest evaluation, suggesting bloodwork but not pushing it. We found him to be compassionate and professional, yet still personable. I highly recommend him. Read Less

We've been taking our dog to Jeronimo Pet Clinic for 14 years.  It's not the fanciest vet clinic, but they do a good job.  However, I REALLY miss Dr. Stelbasky.  Our dog has a large caution sticker on his file as he's aggressive and all the other vets required him to wear a muzzle.  Dr. Stelbasky didn't require a muzzle because he was comfortable with my ability to hold and control our dog and he seemed to get a kick out of our dog's feistiness.  Dr. Stelbasky was a good diagnostician and his treatment plans were never over the top or unnecessary.Dr. Brehmer has yet to impress me.  Quite frankly, he irritated me on our last visit and I am considering seeking a second opinion.  I haven't discounted him yet, but we'll see what the next two weeks bring. They can get you in, usually the same day. Prices are very reasonable. My dog was treated by Dr. Stobelsy, who is no longer there, he moved up north (boohoo!) But the new doctor seems just fine. I really am glad I have this place, instead of the other vet down the street (Alicia Pet Care) where you have to take out a second mortgage on your house to be able to afford the services. Read Less

I brought my cat in here for blood work and she's very well mannered at the vet. She gets nervous and instead of lashing out, she purrs. They took her to the back to draw blood and all I heard was her screaming! I kept asking the receptionist if they could go check on her to see if everything was ok they just kept telling me she's fine, just nervous. This went on for about 5 minutes, my cat screaming from the back the whole time... finally they brought her out with 3 bandages on her!! on her legs and in the side of her neck! They said they had trouble so they tried different areas to draw blood! I've never had that problem whenever I've taken my cats in for blood work! Terrible technicians! Will never return here again.  I was a client of Dr. Stelbasky since he purchased Jeronimo Pet Clinic and brought all of our cats and dogs here.  I ended up having a problem with one of my cats who seemed to constantly be sick.  I took him to see Dr. Stelbasky COUNTLESS times, spent thousands of dollars, stuffed various medicines down his throat/inhalers/eyedrops......I decided to get a second opinion because nothing Dr. Stelbasky did was working!   The other doctor diagnosed my cat in less than two seconds of looking at him!  I still cannot fathom why Dr. Stelbasky couldn't see what this doctor could see so easily?  All that suffering my cat went through for 1-2 years, all the money wasted, all the strain in my relationship with my cat by stuffing all this medicine down his throat......it makes me sick thinking about it.  When I got the bad news from the new vet I called Dr. Stelbasky's office to explain what happened.  He took NO responsibility for anything.  I never expected him to be so cold and unapologetic.  I will never be returning here with any of my future pets and have recommended my friends and family go elsewhere from now on as well. My 3 dogs and I have been going to this place since 2005, so with the new addition I had to bring her here of course; peace of mind!!Dr. Jozef Stelbasky performed spayed & neutered on all my dogs & they all have invisible scars.  For the single ladies, he's kinda cute so visit him while he's still available :) not sure if he has a gf, so don't ask :PHis pricing is fairly cheap/decent and I only trust this place!
