This is the first review I wrote a review on Yelp and Google. I wrote it in good faith and it is a synapse of my experience with this business. In fact, I wrote it because when I moved to a new town, I choose a veterinarian based on the reviews posted on yelp by others. Nonetheless, this is the second time that my review is erased on Yelp. Perhaps TRUE reviews are not allowed to be posted. I am posting on Google as well this time. So here it is AGAIN. My opinion follows bellow. First Amendment rights....
I treat my pets as I would one of my children; the only difference is that my pets do not have a voice of their own. Having said that, if all you need are vaccinations, by all means it is a great place. If you happen to have an emergency, the story changes drastically. My experience with Dr. Michael O'Brien was nothing shot of HORRIFYING. During triage and crises management in my opinion the last thing that you need is someone to be condescending, narcissistic egomaniacal and unapproachable. Granted, my pet was an emergency appointment schedule at 4:00 pm. Nonetheless, as a paying customer and fellow Human there is a certain level of common courtesy and respect that we should all expect. Long story short, my pet was too inconvenient for him to treat at that time regardless of the fact that my pet was an established patient. He suggested I seek care at the emergency veterinary clinic. I found a care elsewhere never to return to that place again.
Admittedly, this is my first review and generally I do not say anything if I don't have something positive to say. Although, working as a health care provider for the last 15 years myself I feel a moral obligation to share my experience. In fact, I have worked with many surgeons and different personality types. Indeed, we can all be a little corky sometimes, but being malevolent is an entire different issue.
Dr. Michael O'Brien takes the cake! He gets the golden star for having the worst bedside manners that I have ever seeing and in my opinion, his level of empathy can be equated to that of a dictator.
When all empathy is gone, perhaps one should consider retirement.
