I love this place, they are reasonably priced and always treat my animals well. Their hold times can be a little long on the phone. Very expensive here and I didn't get what I came for as far as the advice and medical help I needed. I bought my dog's flea medication which I was happy about for a few month's supply. However, I was told I would get a 45 minute skin assessment for my dog like a skin scraping and when I scheduled it, the doctor who told me was not there. Dr. Johnson came in and he was done in 25 minutes and said there was nothing else I needed to do. I asked about my dog's allergies, etc. and got nowhere. So I give this place a 2.5. Read Less

Never going here again. The lady in the front desk is not that friendly, she does not even say hello when you walk in the front door. The veterinarians are quite friendly but at my dogs check up, the vet did not check everything. She only checked my dog Daissy's eyes , ears and temperature. We took Daissy for her check up because we were going to board her there because we were going to go on a vacation. When we came back to pick Daissy up from her boarding, she was a mess. She gained weight, threw up her food, and got un-potty trained. She also did not come very happy. Daissy was only a puppy when we brought her there. We think that all they did was lock her in a crate and feed her a bowl of dog food when she needed to be socialized, played with and be fed a smaller amount of dog food. We have been here for almost 2 years and in that time, we had to say goodbye to our very special golden who was our daughters first pet. And we have brought a very bouncy happy chocolate lab home. We recently brought in a German Shepard puppy who would unfortunately gave in to parvo a week later. Now fearing our other dog might have contracted the virus my girlfriend took him to get a booster and check up as I was at work and couldn't leave. The vet was extremely rude and showed no sympathy towards a sleep deprived woman and pup who had spent the last week up caring for a dying puppy. Our dog was extremely stressed out, so the veterinarian and assistant were asked to leave the room, to which they replied "Take that 'choker' off, I don't like those." Which is a training collar, not choker. And then threw a leash at her further aggravating the dog. They never left the room to let him settle down and proceeded to say, with a highly sarcastic "i'm done, we're not doing this!" Then proceeded to belittle and yell at my girlfriend who is in tears at this point, ranting on how she's a bad owner and the dog has severe problems stemming from bad leadership. After 10 minutes of heartless ranting she sarcastically says "Do I need to go make sure the coast is clear so you can leave?" I came home to a crying woman and a pup who could still be sick, after all that has happened the last week. We will no longer be doing business there, and if you are a compassionate owner I would recommend not doing business there as well as they have no compassion themselves. I have been a client with you for over 2 years. I've never thought the service was exceptional just subpar inconveniently located but today put it over the top. Your receptionist is extremely rude and I will never come back!!! I was a veterinary assistant for over 6 years I know how things should be done in a clinic and how clients should be treated and addressed on the phone. Your clinic need some major improving!!!! The Doctor's and staff are always really nice. Whether they pretend to know, or actually do know our dogs and us personally makes us feel like we are a valued patient. Plus, if something is outside their scope of specialty, they will refer out which makes me believe they are in it for the care factor rather than the money factor. My wife and I have four cats, Pumpkin, Deandra, Rosie, and Felix. We have gone to Standiford Vet for over the past 15 years. Dr. Lattig and Dr. Greer have helped us with our cats over the years. We recently lost our oldest cat "Pumpkin" to cancer. Dr. Greer was beautiful in helping us,as it was very hard seeing "Pumpkin" sick and not being able to do anything for her. When we go on vacation we leave our family with Standiford Vet and they take excellent care of them. If we have an emergency they take care of us. Their office staff is very friendly and helpful.
