We recently adopted a puppy from a rescue. It felt good that we were trying to do our small part by adopting from a rescue to help with unwanted animals. We noticed the day after we brought the puppy home he had loose stool and it progressively got worse. So after two days I took him to Valley Vet and because it was Friday I had my 4 year old grandson with me that I babysit on Fridays. The puppy tested positive for the parvo virus. I was really upset. They quarantined us in a room and we were not allowed to come out. I had to open the door and stick my head out to talk to them. After a couple of questions they told me, again, to stay in the room and not come out, which I hadn't. And even though they told me they were going to treat the whole place with a bleach solution when we left, we still weren't allowed to come out. However, they did make sure to come in and collect payment, $74 dollars. When the vet came in she was uncaring, unsympathetic and very matter of fact. She informed me the puppy had a 50/50 chance to live if he was hospitalized, but they were not set-up for that, which she repeated several times. So we were on our own to find a veterinarian hospital that did. I had to ask if she could recommend one, she said maybe she could think of two. She would have the girls out front get that for me. They didn't. She handed me a print-out of parvo, but didn't have time to answer any questions. Like, can my grandson contract this? I realize the seriousness of parvo, that a puppy or dog could die, but didn't know the details. They were all extremely unsympathetic, uncaring, and rude. As we left, no one said goodbye, good luck, we are so sorry, nothing. We were treated as if we had leprosy, myself and my grandson. I will never go there again and I will tell everyone I know how they treated us. Read Less
