Just moved to town with my cat and needed to get her nails trimmed because she won't let me. I called to make an appointment and they wanted nothing to do with me because we weren't existing clients. Not only was I looking for a place to get her nails trimmed but also a new vet. I get that you have a policy that it's for existing patients so that you have their rabies vaccine history. Which I told the lady we just got it taken care of since we just moved here. But that didn't matter you didn't care about getting a new patient you're just following policy. The reason I gave a few stars is because when I first moved here I came in for some calming spray for my cat and the ladies up front were very helpful with it, and that is why I originally called them for a nail trim because I wanted to become a regular customer. But never mind kitty and I will go elsewhere because I don't enjoy being cut off when I'm talking and I believe instead of being short with a customer you should help find a solution. Read Less

The front desk personnel are less than stellar to new/existing clients. When I brought in a pet for a routine hair trim and made a simple request for a particular area. However, during my actual conversation, I was interrupted, ignored, and pushed aside by a front desk admin.  I felt shocked that the first person anyone sees walking into this building responds with such a rude condescending remarks. I had the same problem with a different front desk individual in the past. They'll make you feel like you are wasting their precious time and made you feel less than a customer and more like a problem. Live Oak is excellent! Dr. Muth is so attentive and caring at each appointment. She takes her time and does not rush through. She ensures that the best care possible is available and is very honest with pros and cons of treatment. The front office staff is awesome, too. They have been so nice each time I've called or ask for something. Lynette even called me the morning after I had been there a previous evening to let me know that she noticed a headlight on my car was out. Now that's customer service! Terrible customer service. After explaining that we were new to town and looking for a new vet and our dog might need some attention in the next week the secretary replied that being so close to the holidays her doctors were just working too hard and wouldn't want to see any additional customers. I can't express the gratitude that I have for Dr. Clark and the staff.  They were so compassionate when we had to put our beloved cat of 14 years down.  It helped to know that he was cared for so much by all there at Live Oak Veterinary Hospital.   We will return when we can muster ourselves for a new pet. We have  been clients since they opened in 2010, and have received amazing care for our dog and cats. The care that is given is individualized, and the welfare of our pets is always put first. Dr. Haggerty is our main doctor but when we haven't seen her we have still received the best care and support. The front desk staff are professional and on it no matter how busy they are. Wow wow wow! It took me 3 different vets with unhappy experiences to finally be referred to Live Oak. I brought both my cat and dog today for vaccines and exams and just fell in love with Dr. Muth. She was very thorough and spent a lot of time with us answer our questions and getting to know our animals. We didn't feel rushed or pressured into anything, in fact, she didn't feel certain vaccines were even necessary for our cat seeing as he is strictly indoors. The reviews about receptionists,no don't understand. I nothing less than professional, helpful and friendly staff. I recommend this veterinary clinic. I have been going to live oak animal hospital since it opened up. I have Dalmatians, a breed which requires special foods that prevent the build up of pureines which causes stones. Dr. Jeanne Haggerty has worked with me for all my previous and current Dalmatians and continues to take the time and care with me well beyond a doctor visit. Animal Care Center is a one of a kind, rare facility! It is operated by an amazing Doctor and a hard working, friendly staff to compliment that. Just recently, I brought all 4 of my pets to Dr.Quick for vaccine updates and exams. Dr.Quick and his staff were wonderful with my 3 cats and dog. All of my little ones were very comfortable and happy. I feel that Dr.Quick and his staff go above and beyond a general office visit. Dr.Quick is very thorough, friendly and honest. I can rely on him for all of my pets needs. I appreciate the fact that Dr.Quick also educates me during each visit. I feel that all pet owners should be educated on what is being done with their pets. The environment at Animal Care Center feels like family. I went to Dr.Quick after I became very unhappy with another Vet in Morgan Hill. I have never experience such an imformative office visit ever. I have had pets all my life, but no other Vet has ever gone though all that Dr. Quick did.All the workers I encountered were great and they have grooming, boarding and food. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Quick and is office. I have two dogs and a bird. I was going to San Jose for my bird and I found out Dr. Quick does birds also. Now I don't have to travel to SJ anymore.
