Long story short my puppy got hit by a car and I was devastated. I called VCA to get him cremated and the staff there are so very amazing! I received a card from them in the mail and they clipped off some of his fur and the entire staff signed the card, it made me cry that they all took the time to do that. Just everything they have done has been above and beyond what I could expect from any place. I can't put into words how much I appreciate them. Thank you. Read Less

My family has taken their pets here for years, with the same great service every time. Our dog that we recently had to put down had something called Valley Fever which caused him to have seizures. They treated him with amazing care, and he didn't have any problems with his treatment. Later in life, he developed cancer. They provided us with medication to help the pain, and food that he could digest easier. Though we unfortunately had to put him down, it was a relief to have them. Now, a few years later we have a dog and a cat, who both enjoy going there. Read Less

I am completely blown away by the incredible care we received for our cat, Doodle, at VCA! My family & I had been looking for a new Vet locally since we stopped going to our former Vet. We'd been going to one in Sun City for over 15 years (even though we live in Murrieta) because we knew & trusted them, but recently the care and service there has completely changed and declined... (i.e. we will NEVER be taking our pets back to them again, but that's a different review for that location). Our cat had an emergency issue so my sister & I jumped onto Yelp to find a new Vet quickly. We saw the reviews for VCA and rushed over. While I was still in the car with our cat, my sister ran in to explain the situation & ask if they would be able to see him. They were very friendly, understanding, & compassionate taking our cat back immediately to check him out while we filled out paperwork. Never for one minute made us feel like it was any sort of inconvenience or they had to squeeze us in (which is how our former Vet made us feel when we had an actual appointment!) Within minutes they brought us back to a room & said they'd be in shortly. We were in there maybe 4-5 minutes before they came in. (I should mention again, we did not have an appointment! Our former Vet would leave us waiting in the room for 30-45 minutes when we DID have an appointment.) Kelsey was the Nurse/Technician who helped us in the room first, I wish I'd gotten the names of the other gentleman & woman at the front desk who helped us when we first walked in & the Doctor's name as well! They were all WONDERFUL!! Calm, friendly, completely honest with everything, broke down what treatments & tests they would need to do, everything was so quick & efficient but done with such care at the same time. They were all so gentle with Doodle, my sister & I had absolutely no worries leaving him under their care. Kelsey came back in after the examination was through to break down the bill, explained each fee separately & showed us exactly how much each treatment would be. There was not one thing on the bill that seemed unnecessary & they never made us feel like they were up-selling or up-charging anything. After we left, THEY called US to give us an update on how Doodle was doing & what to expect. They even told us when they would contact us the next day & gave us a heads up that if we didn't hear from them right away it was only because the morning was going to be very busy & not to worry. They invited us to call anytime if we wanted an update, but they did in fact call us right away the next morning. They told us when we could pick up Doodle & also said if anything changed and they wanted to keep him longer that they would give us a call. Everything went extremely well & we were able to pick him up at the exact time they said he would be ready to go home! I wish I'd gotten the names of the staff who helped us when we were picking Doodle up as well! The woman at the front desk was VERY generous & helpful, the two women who brought Doodle out to us & explained how to give him his pain medicine were wonderful as well! They even gave us a sample-pack of food since he needs to be on a special diet now (it was a big sample pack, too! I was waiting for them to tell us how much it would be & when she said, "sample" I was so surprised & appreciative!). Hands down, the BEST experience we have ever had with a Vet! I only wish we'd left our former Vet years ago & started going to VCA sooner. THANK YOU SO, SO MUCH VCA!! One more thing I noticed, the entire place is beautiful and spotless! Extremely clean, bright, lots of open space & areas for people to wait with their pets, the examination rooms were just as beautiful & clean! (I noticed an LED candle on the corner of the front desk with a sign next to it stating if the candle is lit, it means someone is saying goodbye to their beloved pet & to please speak softly & respectfully in the front desk / waiting room area. I was so touched by how much thought & care they put into everything they do at this facility!) Read Less

I have had dogs my whole life and VCA in Murrieta is by far the worse Vet with very incompetent doctors. After going to this vet for about a year now and trying 3 different doctors at this VCA, they still have not been able to diagnose the issues with my dog. Not only this, but they also put my dog on Prednisone and while on Prednisone edema (bloating of my dogs stomach & legs) the Doctor told us that this edema was not from the Prednisone but rather from the progression of his disease. The Doctor at this Vet suggested that we put our dog down. We did not put him down, but did take him off the Prednisone. Three days later, he was completely back to normal. This Vet is ONLY interested in taking your money. Our dog needed a refill on one of his prescription, but they would not refill it unless we paid for an office visit. Having NO concern about our dogs health, only concerned about making their money. Read Less

Went a couple months ago for my puppy american bully. She had diarrhea and was around a dog we believed to have parvo. Was concerned so got her checked out. I went in and they said I have to do the test and get her shots that were due. I understood all this. They asked how long I had her and I said 4 days. They said they'll do a test for parvo. So after paying $300 and getting the parvo test they tell me its negative. They proceed to tell me that the test would come out negative if the dog hasn't had it for a couple weeks. So the doctor gives an example he says "Like humans. If you were in contact with someone who had the flu two days ago, you don't show signs until a week or two later so testing for flu wouldn't be efficient cause symptoms haven't shown up yet."...... So why did I pay $300 to get this test and after the fact you tell me that it was pointless to test. They just literally took my money. I am not educated enough in vet care to know so it caught me by surprise that they said this to me after they took my money. How were they fully aware of this and did not feel the need to explain this to me until after they got my money. Horrible service. Horrible place Read Less
