I was so impressed. This was our 1st visit here. My cat had previous respiratory problems brought on by his previous vet. When I told Dr Earl what happened he immediately knew what the problem was, and that they have given him feline herpes! And better yet, the treatment perscribed helped him immensely on day 1. Also, they dont wear white coats, which turns out scares your animals (the only time they see the vet he or she is wearing the white coat). I absolutely love this vet and the staff are some of the most unbelievable people you will meet. Consider your dog part of the family when the doctor comes out and sits on the floor to say hello!! My French Bulldogs have always loved going to see The Doc, And my old Pit Bull who weighed 115 was putty in their hands. Having dogs my whole life I have been to so many different Animal Hospitals both on the east coast and west coast. I have never come across a place like Lido Animal Hospital before ! Firstly my lab Lana literally pulls me into the office. The staff and Dr Earl are the warmest, knowledgeable and generous people I have ever experienced in a vets office. Having a lab comes with a lot of emergency visits as they tend to get themselves in trouble ( getting Into my make up, eating something she shouldn't have, bloating, broken leg, etc. ) During each emergency visit , they had the ability to calm a very panicked mommy, while at the same time offering their medical expertise. At most vet offices you are just ushered into some small room, and as anyone knows that feeling of sitting in one of those cold rooms it could be pretty stressful. It is not like that at Lido they inform you what is going , do not keep you waiting for long periods of time and are very patient explaining the diagnostic and follow up calls as well. The medical profession could learn a lot from Dr. Earl and his wonderful staff on the etiquette of treating patients with kindness and respect. Of course, the patients in this case are our wonderful canine and feline companions. We have a 14-year old black Lab and every time I take Molly into Lido Animal Hospital, she is greeted like a long-lost friend. The staff behind the counter and behind the scenes are welcoming and friendly, and Dr. Earl often comes out to sit on the floor with Molly. It is very heartwarming to see a vet and his staff be so committed to their profession in the basic understanding of dignity to a living creature experiencing some form of upset. Read Less

Incredible Vet! A great experience for both our dog and us! Dr. Earl will come out and visit with our Grace (Weimaraner) and as he is saying Hello he is also running his hands all over her for a very through physical exam while Grace is comfy on the floor and not shivering and balanced on some steel table! That counts for a lot with us because the other Vets we have seen can't be bothered to get down to her level - ever! Dr. Earl is intuitive and knowledgeable about Grace's allergies and skin conditions and has made Grace very comfortable. He has properly diagnosed all of her "conditions" and we have been able to implement them and improve her quality of life. We will be clients forever! The staff is highly attentive and make Grace very comfortable while she is being treated and they are all very patient with us and do not make us feel like idiots for asking over and over again what is going on with our dog and what everything means. Some people have given the same talk about cleaning a dog's ears a 100 times and they let you know in a monotone way how to do it. The staff here understands that it is the first time we have heard it and they are talk to us kindly and understand that we are trying to learn and do it properly and they really try to help us. The prices are very reasonable - there is even a Senior Discount available that we take advantage of! There are parking meters on the street of the office and they are very conscious about offering to pay and put the quarters in for us. They have a lot of local resources for pet needs and that's very helpful for us. We really feel that you will be happy with your visit to Dr. Earl! 5 Stars all the way!!!Read Less

I cannot express how thankful we are to have Lido Animal Clinic for our pets. They helped to keep the great quality of life going for our 15 year old Golden right up to the end. Our young puppy loves to visit them, too. The staff is caring and friendly. Dr. Earl had come down to our business to give our older dog her shots. She LOVED going to see Dr. Earl and his staff. My dog had a large bump the size of a golf ball on her stomach. I took her to see Dr. Earl and was very upset as I thought it would be something incurable. Dr. Earl was very caring and compasionate, and did emergency surgery. My dog had a hernia and had some tears in her abdomen. He was able to take care of everything, and I was relieved that there were no tumors. Three days later, she is doing great! What a wonderful doctor and staff! Read Less

Im not sure what the bad reviewer under me experienced. But I have never had anything but amazing service at Peninsula animal hospital. I take my pets there regularly because the Dr there is one of the only ones I know that actually spend the time to sit with me and explain everything they are going to do and why (plus there's never any pressure to go through with anything I dont agree with). The staff has always been super-friendly and always explained my options to me, and different things I could try, and I never once felt rushed or pushed aside so that they could close. Actually on mutliple occasions, they've stayed late for me so I could pick up my pets, and they help me out to my car with everything. Even when my dog got really sick, I called in and they took me within the hour and took care of him till he was better than ever. They even referenced me to the local emergency clinic in case anything happened when they were closed, I had someone I could take my dog too. They've always answered all my questions, and really made me feel like I was a personal friend and cared for my pets like they were their own! Honestly, Peninsula Animal Hospital is the best! They kick your sick pet out at closing before a weekend after you pay. I had to take my pet somewhere else even though he couldn't walk. Dr. Saad is a fantastic vet. I own a small ranch in South Orange County and am lucky enough to have 8 wonderful dogs playing on my property. With 8 dogs and the mischief they get into, Dr. Fred Saad has been a valuble extention of the family. Fred has handled household emergencies ranging from puppies eating socks to removing an injured eye from my 7 year old Shepherd. Fred has always taken the time to sit and explain all options available before any procedure. Last year I was in Arizona on a business trip when I recieved word from home that our oldest dog had reached the point that he needed be put to sleep. I started the four hour drive home to California at four o'clock knowing I would get in well after Dr. Freds closing time. After once again discussing all options and even having him speak with my wife, Fred assured me he would keep the hospital open and staffed so that my dog would not suffer through the night. Fred sets the bar for care and profesionalism. I consider myself lucky to have found him and owe my animals good health to his care. Read Less

I recently had the unfortunate circumstance of coming home to my puppy Chihuahua where she had vomitted profusely and was gasping for breathe. I called Peninsula Hopsital and spoke to the Vet directly since it was after business hours, and he explained to me exactly what to do on the phone and kept me composed. , He told me that he will stay at the clinic until I get there. During this extremely difficult time the doctor did everything in his power to bring her back but she did not make it. Dr Saad's true empathy showed in his actions as helped set up a private cremation for my pet, Dolce De Leche. I was humbled and flattered when he also sent my family a sympathy card. He is a gentlemen, that truly is a Veterinarian of Compassion. Read Less
