BOARDING AND DAYCARE SERVICES:
We strive to offer safe, fun and reasonably priced boarding and daycare for both dogs and cats. We believe that active pets are healthy and happy pets and we treat your furry family members as we would our own.
Our facility offers individual covered outdoor runs for dogs, indoor sleeping accommodations, and a fun group-play environment. All play times and potty breaks are supervised and dogs are grouped according to size, temperament and activity level.
Cats are housed singly in a feline-only boarding room with access to toys and small play structures. Each cage is spacious enough to house a pet carrier (for their nesting comfort), litter box, and food and water dishes. While we do not offer group play for cats, we are happy to give them both solo and interactive time in a larger area.

The Staff here is incredible! They are down to earth, very friendly, help and genuinely care about your animal family members. The rates if you need to go on vacation and have someone trustworthy watch over them are fantastic! Having moved from Texas to California and finding things a bit challenging regarding ones dogs finding Animal Kind Vet Hospital was a gift. Trust that your animals family members will be well taken care of! :)

I just moved to the area and ran out of flea medicine but since my dog was way past his annual physical, my old vet would not automatically renew the prescriptions. So I went online and chose Animal Kind Veterinary based on the positive reviews.
I called them and they were able to see me the same day, my only free day for chores. True to the reviews, the staff and doctor are super friendly and my 20 month old dog took to them immediately. He wasn't even shaking like every other dog I had who went in a vet office.
The doc took his time to familiarize himself with my dog by touch and dog talk. They said they use really small needles. Between their calm demeanor, sense of friendliness, and gentle touch, my little guy didn't show any sign or make any noise when he got any of his shots. It was great.
While I was I the lobby, several other patrons came and went. Everyone seemed so happy, if they didn't have pets with then I would have thought they were related to the staff. This place will be my new regular vet!

This place is awesome! The staff obviously love the animals. Our vet retired and then our next one lost his license..(sigh) We tried a couple of vets in Novato with mixed success. So our Mini- Aussie breaks a molar and our current vet told us it would be 950.00 to pull the tooth. Now I am a capitalist but that seemed extreme since my human dentist offered to pull it for 200.00 (joke) Enter Animal Kind hospital. I took my guy for a second opinion and received an estimate a full 500.00 cheaper! The surgery has been completed by AK and the results have been great. We have found our new vet and we recommend them highly. Our Aussie is scared of men in general but warmed up to this doc right away. We are really pleased.

I bring both my pets here (cat and dog), the staff are kind and efficient and Dr. Virk is caring, knowledgeable and shows great concern and compassion when treating my two little ones. After procedures, I always receive a follow-up call to ensure that all has gone well and that all my concerns are answered. I have not had an opportunity for boarding but will consider them if the need arises as I am very confident that my little ones will be well taken care of.

I read about Animal Kind on Next Door. Several months later my dog had pain in her ear area, would cry out if petted on her head, and laid listlessly in her bed. I drove over to Animal Kind with no appointment (their web page said walk-ins were welcome) and saw the Dr. about 15 minutes later. It turned out to be her gums, and we received medication and were out the door within an hour. My dog was back to herself by the next morning. Love this place and the staff is really great!

My first visit was to have my elderly cat checked out only to find he was so sick he needed to be put down. Although the doctor and staff didn't know me or my cat, they were kind, sympathetic and helped make an awful situation bearable. I was very impressed and very grateful. My second visit was for a much happier reason - my little dog needed a check-up and his rabies shot. They greeted him like an old friend, everybody stopped to say hello. After a clean bill of health, he got his shot and we were on our way. Again, there was kindness and warmth seldom found at many vet offices. My dog felt comfortable, no hesitations. I felt comfortable knowing they cared for my dog almost as much as I did. I recommend them highly and plan a long relationship with them, my dog and I.

I have been coming here regularly for 4 years. Dr. Virk is caring and very knowledgeable - particularly when it comes to geriatric pet care. The staff are helpful and compassionate. My elderly dog has had several procedures over the years. All of these procedures have gone smoothly and I invariably receive a follow up call afterwards to see how she is doing. I trust them with my best canine friend.

Worth the drive! There are plenty of boarding facilities near me but I drive 30 minutes to bring my dog to Animal Kind because a) They treat him fabulously. He's a grumpy dog and hates other dogs so they let him out into the play yard by himself so he can enjoy his outdoor time in peace and quiet. b) He is so thrilled every time I take him there he just BOLTS back to his run without a backward glance. c) It is a veterinary hospital so I have confidence that if anything were to go wrong, he is in safe hands.
Every time I pick him up he is clean and happy even if I haven't requested a bath for him. They keep him up to date on shots and they have package deals for boarding which helps me a lot because I travel so much. I've only had occasion once to use the veterinary services, one of my dogs had a burr stuck in his throat and was coughing miserably. The dog had the good sense to cough the burr up on the exam table so our visit had a happy ending.

Dedicated, caring, compassionate, Dr. Virk and staff of Animal Kind have been wonderful with all our many cats. We arrived here 3 years ago and in that time he has diagnosed, treated, neutered, shaved, done emergency surgery, made house calls & been there for a thousand questions. Affordable quality care. We are in his office every week. We couldn't be without him or recommend him more highly.

IF YOU LOVE YOUR PETS DON'T BRING THEM TO THIS AWFULL "DOCTOR"!!!!!My cat was vomiting, i took her to this hospital, they've blood test, x-ray (charged me 400$). "Doctor" asked me if she urinate well. I said yes, she looks healthy, playing, just vomiting sometimes after eat. He said what he is not sure about small spot in stomach, so he'll gonna send x-ray to specialist. He gave me antibiotics for my cat. After few days I recieved a call from "doctor" and he said 'Your cat has a bladder stones, let's schedule surgery for tommorow', I said what I'll call him back later, because I wasn't sure in diagnose. So after I made a research online about simptoms of this disease, my cat doesn't have any of them... I brought my cat to another clinic, they made a tests again. Doctor showed me all pics of x-ray and ultrasound and explain everything how ia suppouse to look when pets have a bladder stones... So my is healthy!!!!I'm happy what I didn't let him make him surgery for my poor cat!!!!

The Staff here is incredible! They are down to earth, very friendly, help and genuinely care about your animal family members. The rates if you need to go on vacation and have someone trustworthy watch over them are fantastic! I just moved to the area and ran out of flea medicine but since my dog was way past his annual physical, my old vet would not automatically renew the prescriptions. So I went online and chose Animal Kind Veterinary based on the positive reviews.
