I would give this Vet 10 stars if possible. I took my dog into the ER Monday night where they told me she has a severe infection in her uterus called Pyometra. My dog is almost 13 and I had not gotten her spayed. At the ER they basically told me that she needs to have emergency surgery or she may not survive the next 48 hours. The ER that I took her to in Woodland Hills told me it would cost $7,000 if I did it there since it was late and they had to call the surgeon in. I decided to wait till morning and take her to the vet. I recently moved to the area and had not yet found a vet for my baby so Tuesday morning I was frantically searching for a vet that could perform the surgery asap. After a few places told me no I found Oak Park vet. I can not say enough good things about Dr. Broussard, she saved my dogs life. She was very clear with what needed to be done and helped me every step of the way. She called to follow up with me as well as every time I call she calls me right back and answers all my concerning questions. Needless to say I found a new Dr for my baby and any pets I may have in the future. Do not look any further for a vet go to Oak Park. They are also very reasonably priced. When I married my wife, I inherited a step-cat: George. He is a ornery little guy. Recently, he was having some issues and we were worried about him. We were seen right away. Despite the grossness (he pooped and threw up in his carrier on the way to the vet), they were very professional and caring.We've taken him to Oak Park Vet for 4-5 years even though we have since moved out of the nearby area.  We still drive him here for good reason. Dr. Cole and Mike, the vet technician, are thoughtful, patient and honest. They are so good to our cranky cat (we think he is partial feral stock); they treat him as if he was their own cat. I don't get stressed about the bills we pay here and as we have found them to be very reasonable and fair. In some cases, they are down right generous. It's clear they do this because they care about animals and are not trying to take advantage of our attachment to our pets. The entire team at Oak Park Veterinary Hospital is exceptional. I have taken a few foster dogs over the years. The pups rescued right from the shelters always have a list of medical issues to manage. Years ago I had a puppy that had an accident and I rushed in screaming for emergency help.The front desk clerk would not even look at my puppy (who ended up dying) until my credit card was cleared for credit.I will never ever forget this. Just came back from a long vacation in L.AMeAnd and my family were guest for a month at my cousin house and I brought my little dog with me . My dog had serious food poisoning from a chocolate he found .i took my dog and ran to the nearest vet hospital in oak park city . Oh boy ...The vet was rude . It took him 1:30 min to see my dog and when he did he was very impatient . He tried to blame me for the situation and lectured me how should I take care of my dog in the future . I was recommended to Oak Park by a close friend when we got our New Dog.. Who is A Bearnse Mountain Dog named Boo  so we took Boo along for her first Shots and check up! All of the staff when we walked in were so nice and explained everything to us I have 3 children so they were all with me!The nurse took Boo for all her shots which made it very easy on my kids... Boo had a full check up I met two of the Vets that day both of whom were so helpful and friendly and of course mad about our Boo!We won't be going anywhere else we are so happy with everything in Oak Park and more Importantly Boo was top priority and was treated with 5 star service to top it all off I was so happy with the cost! I have been bringing our cats to Oak Park Veterinary Hospital since 2000.  Mind you, we moved to Moorpark.  Oak Park Veterinary has always treated our elderly/youngster with so much care, dignity and respect throughout their entire lives.  I have been to other veterinarian hospitals and have left those places feeling that something isn't right.  Oak Park Veterinary Hospital treats our pets as if they are their own pets.  That's what it takes to get a 5 star review in my opinion. The Staff and Doctors at Oak Park Vet are excellent.  They have helped me with my dog Kona many times including a major surgery to remove cancerous tumors.  That surgery added years to her life and she is now 15.  They are knowledgeable, compassionate, and accommodating. I've tried about FIVE different vets in the area and this one is by far my favorite. The doctors are friendly and the staff does everything they can do to work with your schedule. I've met some pretty condescending Veterinarians in the past but you won't find that here. I appreciate that and appreciate that they are not pushy with all sorts of upcharges/supplements/etc that some vets peddle to make an extra buck. Read Less

Let me start off by saying i love my three dogs Katana, Reggie, and Penny to death. These guys light up my day everyday.  I dont trust just any vet with them. Dr. Broussard is amazing with them and they love to see her.  She treats them all with great care as if they were her own.  The back office staff is amazing as well. I would give Oak Park Veterinary Hospital 100 stars if I could! Kind, caring, knowledgable vets and staff. Always available to answer questions, get you in for an appt, etc. Family feel. Love it. Husband and wife vet team, Dr. Cole and Dr. Broussard. The Drs truly love what they do and it is reflected in their care of the animals. The techs stay long-term, which to me is a sign of a well run business with happy employees who in turn deliver excellent care. Sadly, we had to put down our 14 1/2 year old labs within weeks of each other. It was one of the most difficult decisions and days of our lives. Dr. Cole and Dr. Broussard handled the whole issue with the utmost compassion and professionalism possible. Dr. Cole came to the house with his tech when it was time to let our babies go; they were kind beyond words. We later received a paw print of each and a letter from UC Davis, where Dr. Cole and Dr. Broussard attended veterinary school, indicating that a donation in each of our dogs name had been made by the Drs. I cried with gratitude. I have lived in different parts of the country, which causes me to find a new vet each time - this is the BEST by far. Thank you is just not enough. I am forever grateful. Really like and trust both the doctors. You can tell that they love animals which is a bonus as first time dog owners! The staff is very helpful and seem to really care about our dog. Great with emergency care as well, we had a very scary situation where our dog got to a bottle of our sons medicine. They listened to us and were honest about what they could do. Throughout Max's life, he's been sick with this and that, but we could always count on Dr. Broussard and Dr. Cole to help Max, and keep me calm and assured. I had been going elsewhere for many years and my vet was a friend also. She retired and referred me to Oak Park Vet. I had a wonderful experience, as did my dog. I was pleasantly surprised as I was not happy about having to change vets.
