I gave them 5 stars because that's the highest I could give here but in reality Pioneer Equine Hospital deserves 5 thousand gold stars.

My friend, Yuki, had a colicky 23-year old quarter horse. Another large animal vet tubed him with oil, and sent him home. The horse was still in pain and eating very little two days later. Yuki took him to Pioneer Equine Hospital for an exam and x-ray, thinking it was an enterolith. They were very professional and thorough, finding sand and gas in the horse's gut. We are so relieved and grateful to Pioneer for their kind thorough treatment.

I had my first visit here and I'd like to start out by saying I had a wonderful experience with Dr. MacDonald and Dr. Wilkins! These two were so intelligent and worked together as a team to diagnose the lameness issues my mare was having. The reason I'm giving this hospital 2/5 stars is because the interns at the hospital were rude and treated my horse like she was being a pain in their a**. One of them even stated, "I'm not her biggest fan." My horse was not acting up at all, she was standing there quietly and patiently. When she wouldn't stand square they would yank on her rope. They at one point did hoof X-rays and my mares foot hurt (it was injured) and she kept placing it off to the side and they were becoming quickly impatient with her and hitting her. I took my horse during the last procedure they were doing and I was told I needed to hand her off to "Catherine." When I was finally about to leave I caught one of the girls passing a quick comment to another which was CLEARLY without a doubt a word either about me or my trainer.Doctors and front staff are great. The interns are awful.

The staff and diagnostic equipment are phenomenal. The staff provides detailed information in layman's terms. They can run tests on site 24/7. They provide a sense of calm that reduces apprehension. I have been taking my horses to Pioneer Equine hosp. For many years. I have horses ranging from backard ponies to performance horses. We have received excellent care there evey time. It has been m experience that when it comes to emergenies, that the smaller vets cant handle them and our horse ended up going to Pioneer any way. We call Pioneer first now. They always respond quickly. They have experts on sight. We have been happy with the care we have gotten.

Given the seriousness of her condition I am confident she has had the best care. Dr. Fowler, Dr. Heaton and Dr. Jackman have been amazing, the clinical care they have provided has been exceptional. My horse came up lame at a horse show and I called Pioneer and they were able to fit me in within a couple hours. Dr. Vickerman and her staff, were awesome. They were very thorough in trying to find what was wrong with my gelding. They took really good care of my guy and were really gentle when he got nervous. They even stayed after hours to finish x-rays, answer all my questions and go thru all the treatment directions once released. I only wish they were closer to my home, but I would definitely recommend them if you want a great vet, who is caring and thorough! Thank you!

This facility is awesome, not to mention the staff. My horse started to colic, of course on a Saturday afternoon. Six of the staff members were waiting for for him as he unloaded. They went to work on him right away. Within a couple of hours, my horse was feeling much better and already starting to act like himself again. The staff was very kind, they allowed my husband and I to watch as they worked on him. They took care of my horse as if he was a multi-million dollar horse. To me he is, he is my baby. They took such great care of him and called me twice a day with updates. The staff is very professional and goes above and beyond! They truly care about the animals! They are AWESOME in my book!

This is one great hospital for your horse no matter where you live. I would drive across country for them. They are very responsive and caring and they will come out to the ranch as I do not have a horse trailer. They will call you back right away on an emergency and come out to take care of your horse at any hour.They also hold seminars that will help you care for your horses and to learn what shots and worm products to use in this area. I highly recommend this equine hospital. If you love your horses as much as I do, you probably spend more time picking your horse's vet then your own doctor! I had always heard great things about Pioneer and when I moved to Oakdale, was so lucky to have them right down the road (though they are well worth traveling!). The first time I pulled in my heart sank thinking what it would all cost. This place is stunningly beautiful! The office staff welcomed me and a short while later I med Dr. Lufkowitz. She was patient, informative, kind and knowledgeable. She is a true horse lover who took time to really listen. In my now 3 visits to Pioneer, I have always been impressed the vet, the assistants and the front office staff as well as how reasonably priced everything has always been! Twice now, once before scheduling a teeth float and once before buying spring shots, staff let me know that those things would be on sale the next month if I could wait a bit. How nice! I trust and recommend Pioneer for my horses care.

Great modern first class clean Facility, you are treated very nicely from the minute you walk in the door,they truly care about your horse and have very knowledgeable people working for them. Dr Mcdonald took great care and compassion of my horse Bob over the years and we continue to take our horses there to be seen by him, he is a true professional , the vet technicians are also very helpful and nice.The prices are reasonable and I would highly recommend this place.

The staff and diagnostic equipment are phenomenal. The staff provides detailed information in layman's terms. They can run tests on site 24/7. They provide a sense of calm that reduces apprehension. They are devoted to horses and horse owners.

I have been taking my horses to Pioneer Equine hosp. For many years. I have horses ranging from backard ponies to performance horses. We have received excellent care there evey time. It has been m experience that when it comes to emergenies, that the smaller vets cant handle them and our horse ended up going to Pioneer any way. We call Pioneer first now. They always respond quickly. They have experts on sight. We have been happy with the care we have gotten.

Pioneer Equine Hospital has been amazing through this difficult time with our mare. She had to have emergency surgery and is still hospitalized. Given the seriousness of her condition I am confident she has had the best care. Dr. Fowler, Dr. Heaton and Dr. Jackman have been amazing, the clinical care they have provided has been exceptional. Highly recommend for all types of equine care.

My horse came up lame at a horse show and I called Pioneer and they were able to fit me in within a couple hours. Dr. Vickerman and her staff, were awesome. They were very thorough in trying to find what was wrong with my gelding. They took really good care of my guy and were really gentle when he got nervous. They even stayed after hours to finish x-rays, answer all my questions and go thru all the treatment directions once released. I only wish they were closer to my home, but I would definitely recommend them if you want a great vet, who is caring and thorough! Thank you!

This facility is awesome, not to mention the staff. My horse started to colic, of course on a Saturday afternoon. Six of the staff members were waiting for for him as he unloaded. They went to work on him right away. Within a couple of hours, my horse was feeling much better and already starting to act like himself again. The staff was very kind, they allowed my husband and I to watch as they worked on him. They took care of my horse as if he was a multi-million dollar horse. To me he is, he is my baby. They took such great care of him and called me twice a day with updates. The staff is very professional and goes above and beyond! They truly care about the animals! They are AWESOME in my book!

This is one great hospital for your horse no matter where you live. I would drive across country for them. They are very responsive and caring and they will come out to the ranch as I do not have a horse trailer. They will call you back right away on an emergency and come out to take care of your horse at any hour.They also hold seminars that will help you care for your horses and to learn what shots and worm products to use in this area. I highly recommend this equine hospital. If you love your horses as much as I do, you probably spend more time picking your horse's vet then your own doctor! I had always heard great things about Pioneer and when I moved to Oakdale, was so lucky to have them right down the road (though they are well worth traveling!). The first time I pulled in my heart sank thinking what it would all cost. This place is stunningly beautiful! The office staff welcomed me and a short while later I med Dr. Lufkowitz. She was patient, informative, kind and knowledgeable. She is a true horse lover who took time to really listen. In my now 3 visits to Pioneer, I have always been impressed the vet, the assistants and the front office staff as well as how reasonably priced everything has always been! Twice now, once before scheduling a teeth float and once before buying spring shots, staff let me know that those things would be on sale the next month if I could wait a bit. How nice! I trust and recommend Pioneer for my horses care.

Great modern first class clean Facility, you are treated very nicely from the minute you walk in the door,they truly care about your horse and have very knowledgeable people working for them. Dr Mcdonald took great care and compassion of my horse Bob over the years and we continue to take our horses there to be seen by him, he is a true professional , the vet technicians are also very helpful and nice.The prices are reasonable and I would highly recommend this place.
